The press of his weight against linoleum, worn leather in his palms, stadiums ringing with echoed cheers–
Akaashi’s season will end, and he will step off the court for the last time. The rush of the court mid-tournament will fade at the edges, a feeling he’ll look back at only when, as an icebreaker, he might say, I used to play volleyball.

Summary
“Come, sit.” Sirius beckons toward the back porch’s open door, taking a seat on the top step. The concrete is cold, and it’s a welcome contrast to the burning heat of the bowl in his lap.
He smiles as Regulus tentatively positions himself next to him. The step is rather narrow, and the two are almost pressed together, knees brushing. Regulus’s hands are wrapped around the bowl, almost as if afraid its warmth would disappear.
“So? How’d you like it?”
