Hello everyone.
This is Madelyn, the creator of Baachu. I have some bittersweet news: I will no longer be creating the Baachu fanfic. It has been over a year since I have updated, but it is not because of any lack of support or my fading love of the story. Quite the opposite, actually!
You guys were such an encouragement. I still to this day reread your wonderful comments, feeling very grateful for your kindness. I feel like I had a small bond with each of you all, because you are all part of the Baachu family. But now I have to move onto other things.
Not only will I begin college soon, but I am also working on something very special.
I’m turning Baachu into a webcomic.
It’s slightly different. I recreated the characters, added world building elements I couldn’t have in the fanfiction, and made it *slightly* more kid-friendly. However, the essence has stayed the same. The story of a man softening with a literal found family is true to its origins. I would love for you all to check out this story!
It is called Crucible, currently on Webtoon Canvas and Tapas! Your support means so much, and I would love to see you there.
So in a way, the story of Baachu will continue through to Crucible, but it will change, and sometimes that feels sad. That’s okay. I just hope that in that, you also feel excited for what is to come. The creation of something new. Crucible!
