Chapter Text
Inko Midoriya sat comfortably and looked at her big hero family. She smiled and rewoken old memories. Life full of events flashed through her head. A smile grew bigger.
It all started so many years ago, her name wasn't always Inko…
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She felt weird when she woke up. Smaller and weightless. After opening her eyes she saw an unfamiliar ceiling.
„What the… Where am I? Wait that sounded weird in my head… Am I thinking in Japanese!? I'm not fluent! What happened to me!?". After a moment she decided to stand up and find a mirror. From it was looking at her small girl with green hair and green eyes. „Is… is that me?" She raised her hand – the girl in the mirror did the same. „It looks like… but why? Who am I? Although it reminds me something…"
- „Inko! Sweetie, did you wake up?" she heard someone calling. „Inko? Wait no, that's impossible, right? Right!?"
- „Inko!" – to her room walked a woman with the same eyes as her
- „Oh, there you are! Hurry up, you don't want to be late to school!"
- „Who am I?"
- „Honey did you hit your head or something?" the woman looked weird at her.
- „Please, just answer me!"
- „…Your name is Inko Midoriya and you're my 10-year-old daughter." „No way! So it is true! Wait, if I'm Inko and I'm 10 years old… Maybe I can save them?”
- „Inko are you okay?"
- „Yes mom, sorry, I think I wasn't awake yet…"
- „It's okay sweetie, now hurry up and get ready". The woman who apparently was her mother walked away. Inko was left alone with her thoughts. „So I went to sleep in a world where I was a 21-year-old woman, and I wake up as 10-year-old Inko Midoriya in the world of My Hero Academia. Cool. Cool. Nothing unusual. Not at all". She decided that it's better to play along with the Universe and go to school. Maybe it all will turn out to be some wild dream.
It didn't. When next day she woke up in the exact same room, she started to think that maybe it's real. Yesterday she didn't have any problems with school. After all, she already was going to college. It seems that her skills and memory well the same, except that she also had little Inko memories and quirk. She started to accept that this is her life now.
„Since I'm already here, and I know what bad things happened in the future, I can try to prevent them. Thank goodness I was that deep in the fandom. I need to make a plan." And so she did. She wrote everything she remembered, events, names, locations, places, and even who was from where. Things that will be needed to accomplish her goal and skills to learn. Also, useful acquaintances to make. The list contained things like hacking skills and another language, but also things like hero license and money. Her goal probably needed them all.
She decided to work at her quirk control and Chinese first because right now she didn’t need to learn to school other subjects than Japanese literature. She was already fluent in English and French. „Okay, so I’m definitely gonna need a hero license and to be a lawyer. License first, since I only need to finish high school in order to get one. Then I can go to college. I also need to start working as soon as possible because after I’ll get some budget I can invest it into something I know will be successful.”
She started training her quirk as much as possible. By the age of 12, when she went to middle school, the smallest objects she could pull were the size of 10 atoms. She also discovered that her quirk can pull people by their quirks and feel them. It started after she met an old quirkless woman. „That old lady there… something feels wrong, I better ask her if she feels good”.
- „Excuse me, ma’am?”
- „Yes dear?”
- „Are you okay?”
- „Yes, I’m perfectly fine. Why do you ask?” The lady seemed very confused.
- „It’s just… when I look on you I had a feeling like something is wrong…” Women's smile faded a little.
- „Maybe it’s because I don’t have a quirk?” She asked, bitter in her voice.
- „Omg, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean it like that.” „It looks like another aspect of my quirk is that I can feel them. Maybe also I can do something else with them?”
- „It’s okay”. The old lady walked away.
By the next opportunity, Inko tried to do something with it. Turns out, that quirks count as small objects. That was the time when she started learning hand-to-hand combat. Near her house in Tokyo was a dojo where you could learn a mix of martial arts. It was led by a retired Pro Hero Black Emperor. He was her first mentor. She was very determined to do the best and quickly became one of his favorites. After a year she started helping teach younger kids at the dojo and that was her first paid job. In middle school, she also started learning programming and hacking, anything that might be useful to find people. Her parents started worrying over her and her social skills.
(- „Honey, you don’t have any friends!”
- „I don’t need friends now!”
- „Yes you do!”
- „Fine, when I’ll go to high school I’ll have friends”
- „Inko!”
- „Besides there isn’t anyone worth being friends at my school and I have Black Emperor”
- „That’s not… and she’s gone”)
Her parents seemed to think that she was going thru some kind of teenage rebellion. That wasn’t the case. Her mind was too focused on a goal to have time for friends. She also needed to learn more than in elementary school. Her goal, for now, was the U.A. entrance exam.
