"Luz, Rainestorm. King and I will be back tomorrow evening, we have a mission to do and while we're out we'll also try and get some medicine to help your fever "
Eda finishes strapping king into the baby holder and puts on her coat. Luz just gives a groan sticking her tongue out and coughs when Raine slips some flu meds in her mouth.
"Don't destroy my house! Byyyyyeeee~" and with that Eda slips out of the door on owlbert leaving Raine and Luz, hooty busy playing in the mud. Amity had to eventually go home. Her parents would only believe her to be at boscha or the others houses for so long. Which made Luz feel even crappier than she already did. Just because she was sick doesn't mean the world stopped turning, even in such a magical place like the boiling isles the days still came and wouldn't stop. After watching the human toss and turn for about 20 minutes Raine finally says the first word sense Eda had left.
"Would...your bed or Eda...our.. nest be more comfortable for you?"
Luz gives the tiniest of nods. Raine carefully picks her up with a small grunt and carries her up to her room. Laying her carefully on the bed and tucking her in up to her chin as tightly as comfortably possible. Even with the change of senory and comfort Luz was still tossing and turning or groaning in pain. Slipping her arms out of the blankets to send Amity a message. Something a long the lines of "I miss ur pretty face"
Luz drops her arms with a more annoyed groan. Flinching when she accidently sets off her guitar. Turning onto her side she plucks at the strings.
Raine cringes at the out of tune notes and coughs.
"Would some music help you?"
Luz nods immediately regretting her life choices as it increases her headache, clenching her jaw and gripping her head. Raine puts an ice pack on her forehead before getting up and going to grab their Violin. Coming back giving a small knock on the door before opening it they smile a little at the scene before them. Luz waving her arms in front of her face. Mumbling something about Amity Amity Amity.
Raine sits down. Scooting a little closer to Luz. Smiling a little when luz plucks one of the strings and giggles.
Raine clears their throat and starts to play, Luz scrunched her face a little before starting to relax.
It took a minute before her the music started to relax her instead of making her head thump as if her brain was trying to break out of her skull. She scoots a little closer to Raine. Resting against their lap as they play. Her features softening more and her body following the train of relaxation. Espesually when her parent started singing one of the Spanish songs she'd taught them. The words flowing out as if it was something Raine had always spoken. Once Raine finished the song luz had almost fallen asleep, giving a kiss to her forehead and setting the violin to the side they try to stand up. Only getting whines from luz and begs of them to not leave. After trying to get her to fall asleep so they could go finish some chores didn't work. Raine sets Luz on their lap and wraps the blanket around the two. Standing up and tightening the wrapping. Luz cuddles more against them. Mumbling about how nice the warmth is.
After testing the security of the wrapping and making sure Luz wouldn't fall while they work they start going about doing their chores, if anything carrying Luz around seemed to keep the sickness at bay. Allowing luz to have a peaceful sleep, how she wasn't waking up from the Merengue Luz called it if they remember correctly softly playing and the sometimes jumping from Eda having put something to high or ducking under things to get a dust mite. Luz slept through it all. Having luz on their chest did make cleaning a little more difficult but it did help to be able to pet her hair here and there while cleaning, picking out an occasional mushroom.
Luz didn't wake back up until she heard Amity call from the front door.
"Luz! Others- I didn't see her at school today so I came to check on her"
Luz tiredly whisper shouts "Ami!" Her voice cracky and rough. Coughing a little before cuddling back into Raine who rubs her back a little. Walking into the living room to greet their child's little girlfriend.
"Hello, Amity. Welcome home. Eda and King are out on a mission, Luz is sick that's why she didn't go to school today. "
"Oh. I see, is..she doing okay? She seems...comfortable" Amity makes a small face, Luz leans back and rubs her eyes before reaching out for Amity. Raine undoes the blanket keeping Luz tied to themselves, setting it to the couch and hands Luz to Amity to takes her with a small grunt.
"She didn't want to be left alone. Or even put down really. She said i remind her of home, maybe it's because I'm warm. I'm not sure" Raine gives a small shrug smiling at the girls flustered look as she adjusts Luz to a more comfortable position and sits on the couch.
"I wonder if all humans are this cuddly when sick"
"Thats a good question. It might just be a Luz thing"
"Yeah. You might be right "
Such a shame Amity worked so hard to cool her blush cause as soon as it disappeared Luz yawns and stretched. Kissing her cheek and saying
"I'm glad you're here! I missed my wife!"
