Everything was faintly blurry, Bloody amethyst marks were left wherever Purpled’s hands touched, it seemed he was bleeding from everywhere. Their body was in pain, tiredness weighing his body down, making him want to lay down and finally fall asleep.
He knew he could not sleep or slow down, they promised their crew he would survive, they had sacrificed their lives for him, he had to escape. He could hear the echoing of heavy bodys moving around the ship, he still did not stop, he had to get to the escape pods.
They could feel warm liquid slipping down his face, he couldn't tell if it was his blood or tears.
Onces he made it to the small hall, lined with pods, one for each crew member. He slammed into the closest one, pressing the escape code into the small keypad. The doors opened with a hiss, and the young alien crashed into the cold, metal pod.
He was now aware, sitting alone in the small cold pod, how badly they’re body was shaking, fluffy tipped tail wrapping around his legs. Tears were slipping down his face as the pod was launched out into space. Everything was gone, everyone was dead and he’d most likely die, just not honorably next to them, but out in space.
Nobody will remember them, or their crew. What they set out to do will be forgotten.

Purpled snapped awake, surrounded by fluffy and warm material. They shot out of the cocoon wrapped around them, their breath heavy, every breath almost hurting to take in. They raised their hands to their head, fingers gripping at the soft tipped antennae, gently tugging at them.
The pain that shot through their skull was grounding. Taking a deep breath they could finally feel themself level out and calm. They could open their eyes now, assuring themself that they were safe, not dead. They were in a human room, it was dark as the roof light had been shut off but his marks glowed from the stress, illuminating the small room.
He could remember the night of his crash, about the kind human who saved him and healed him. Punz, the human man who taught them about Earth, had opened his home for the alien.
Purpled slowly slipped off the comfortable fluff, creeping out of the room and down the long hallway. All the roof lights had been turned out, Purpled learned this was something common and all roof lights could do that and all humans do it to save energy. It didn’t matter to Purpled, they had their own light to guide down the dark hall to the human’s room.
He pushed the door open slowly, the hinges squeaking. He could faintly see the figure laying on the bed, side slowly rising and falling. Purpled crept closer to the figure, poking at his legs.
Punz made a sound, shifting around, sitting up on his elbows to face the alien. His blue eyes stared at purple eyes. He moved to sit up properly.
“Purpled? What's up?” Punz asked quietly, voice ruff from sleep.
“ I woke up, bad memories, I wanted to make sure you were okay” Purpled said in his native language, not sure how to say what he was thinking in human english.
Punz looked confused, he couldn’t understand Purpleds language “Are you okay?”
Purpled didn’t say anything, thinking, he wasn’t hurt, he just felt hurt. He nodded his head.
Punz frowned “Come here, where are you hurt?”
Purpled crawled on his bed, sitting next to punz “ I’m not physically hurt to inform you.” they said, knowing Punz wouldn't understand him, only looked at him with more confusion “Body, not, hurt.” He said, voice chopping speaking the foren language.
Punz’s frown only deepened, Purpled felt worse for making Punz upset. They looked at his hands in his lap, ringing them together. They were silent until Punz grabbed the aliens' hands in his.
When Purpled looking up, he could see Punz smiling at him.
“Do you want to stay here for the night?” He asked, rubbing the back of their hands with ruff, calloused hands.
Purpled stared at the man “ I… I think I would enjoy that…” They mumbled in their mother tongue, nodding so Punz could understand him.
“Alright.” The human hummed, tugging the alien closer , releasing one of their hands to gently push them into a lay position “relax, I got you.”
Purpled melted into the man's touch, shifting closer to him. Punz was warm and welcoming, wrapping an arm around him. Purpled closed his eyes, aware his marks were glowing dimly, fluffy tipped tail wagging under the covers. Punz didn't mention anything about them, Purpled could hear a quiet chuckle in his chest.

Purpled fell asleep fast after curling up into Punz’s side. The man couldn't help but smile, after a while of living with the alien he learned that the marks on the young aliens' face glew brightly when they were scared, but now they were only a dim glow, hardly noticeable now.
