It had started with a dare. A mocking really.
“It’s hardly that scary,” Two-Four had sneered. “I mean, the Corries handle it, how bad could it possibly be?”
Vi had even agreed. Everyone knew the Guard had it easy. It was the most common gossip among battalions. Most common complaint too. They had it easy, with their cushy posting, but couldn’t relent a brother a few drinks. It was also common knowledge what the inside of the Guard drunk tanks looked like.
