"So Y/n, do you ever had a crush on someone?"
"Nope."
"Really? Not even once?"
"Before but it didn't hit me..."
AroAce can be complicated to people but it's really not that hard to understand. You're just not sexually and romantically attracted to a certain person.
People will call you emotionless but you can be happy by different things, not only romance and sex. There's so many different things that can make a person happy than romance and sex.
Robin and Chrissy fully understands and Steve? A little but he respects who you are. Eddie you're best friend since Freshman has a thing for you and you know, it was obvious recently but he doesn't know that you are AroAce.
It worries you that he might confess to you at any moment and you have tell him that you are like this.
He's your best friend, he respects you that you respect him too. You two would have fun with each other. He would tell you stories about his encounters with different customers with his drug dealing business, you would visit his concerts with his band, you would even watch him play D&D with his club members, you two would discuss your interest with music, films and movies etc, basically you two were incapable of breaking apart.
Dustin told that Eddie likes you out of nowhere leaving you flabbergasted, you are worried of how you'll tell Eddie about your sexuality. Will he be disappointed? Will he leave you? Will it destroy your friendship?
You really love Eddie but as a best friend way. You feel comfortable around him and Eddie is the type of person that you would tell your deepest troubles and he would understand but about your sexuality? Things might go in trouble.
You didn't want to lose Eddie. But he has to face the truth.

Eddie is out by the flowershop looking for a flower to give for Y/n. He would be confessing to her tomorrow after school. Suddenly Dustin comes into the shop but Eddie doesn't notice
"Eddie?" A voice calls him out and saw Dustin "Hey dude, I'm just looking some flowers for Y/n" Dustin awkwardly scratches his neck
"Is this too cheesy? Do you think this is too cheesy dude?" He sighs and looks around the type of flowers displayed
"Oh no, flowers is a good impression for a confession" Eddie nods slowly
"Also what are you doing here?" Eddie asked
"Oh uhhh..im Ermm" Dustin looks at the side and takes a wrap of flowers
"I'm buying flowers for my Suzie Woozie" Dustin awkwardly laughs making Eddie eye roll with a grin
"Sure okay man, Oh, she might like this" Eddie picks up a pack wrapped of Tulips. Eddie goes to the cashier pays for the flowers.
"Alright see ya tomorrow mah dude" He says his goodbyes with a wave and Dustin gives him a smile with a nod
"She's so fucked." Dustin worriedly says

You took a deep breath and decided that you're going to come out to Eddie today
"Surprise to see you here Chrissy" Robin's says as Chrissy chews on her food
"She's my friend too Robin" You said while opening a Twinkie
"Not gonna argue about that" Robin shrugs
"So Y/n, are you gonna tell Eddie about your whole no sex no romance fiasco?" Robin asked
"Yup, today actually" You said with a worry "Are you sure you're okay with it?" Chrissy asked
"He has to know, the guy is incredibly obsessed with me which there's nothing wrong about it. God I hope it won't break our relationship apart" You sigh as you take a bite with your Twinkie
"I'm sure he'll understand, sure the guy can be a bit um..." Robin begin to think for the word "Sensitive?" Chrissy said as you both look at her
"Close but sure I'll take it, yeah a bit sensitive" Robin says "Wait how do you know that" You asked Chrissy
"Back in middle school, I used to be his classmate. He got into a fight with a boy since he made a joke about his reading skills" Chrissy says making Robin laugh and you snorted
"That's so Eddie. I really love the guy I'm gonna say that but not in that way obviously" You look at the side without moving your head and saw Eddie looking at you then looked away talking back to Gareth
"Well whatever happens, I'm hoping he won't be such a pussy about it" Robin says and Chrissy agrees with her.
The bell rang, you stood up and cleaned yourself up. Robin and Chrissy went in their separate ways as you say your goodbyes to them. A voice yelled for you when you turn around you saw Eddie coming after you
"Hey!" Eddie greets "Hey man, what's up?" You smile at him
"You know where Lovers Lake is, right?" You nodded "Perfect! I want you to meet me there after school sharp! " He says with his usual enthusiasm
"We always hang out after school Eddie, of course I would come" "Oh right ehe yeah but please do come" He awkwardly shuffles
You chuckle "I will I will don't worry, I gotta dip for class" You wave at him making him wave back, You walk into History class and sat beside Robin
"Did he ask you out?" You grinned your teeth "You have no idea.."
"You'll be fine. You better tell him the truth, the man can't live up lies itself" Robin points at you while her elbow is on the table "Suuuureeeeeee" You sigh and leaned back into the chair
Class went smoothly, assignments were due next week. You walked out of the school and saw Eddie immediately ran to his van then drove off in a fast paced almost hitting a car
"You'll be okay.. " Chrissy puts her hand on your shoulder "Im sure I will but him, I don't know"
"You got this" She smiles at you for couragement, you take a deep breath and exhale it out "Okay I'm going. See you tomorrow Chrissy" You said your goodbyes to her as she goes inside the school for her Cheerleading practice
You took your bike and went to Lovers Lake safely. Rick Reefer greeted you by his porch and asked if you wanted any drugs, you denied and went to the back.
Eddie was there waiting for you looking by the lake. You walk behind while the sound of the leaves crunches below you grabbing his attention
"Glad you came" He greeted you with a sweet smile "Psh when do I ever deny our hang outs? "
"Never did" He says bringing out a wrapped of tulips that he hid form his back giving it to you, you gasp with a spark on your eyes "Ohh Eddie..You shouldn't have, thank you" You grab the flowers and smell them, it smelled so nice.
"Bought it with my own money" He awkwardly chuckles "Listen i got something to tell you, if you don't mind" He shuffles his feet
Here it comes "Sure what is it?" You said making him tense a little then calms down again "But before I tell you, mind if I take you on a boat ride my lady?"
He shows the boat and he sits downs activating the boat "Come on sit down with me" You nodded and sat on the boat. The boat moves slowly and now you two are in the middle of the lake
"As I was saying.." Eddie grabs your hands and holds them warmly "You were saying?" You shot a teasing look making him blush
"Ever since I got to know you, I begun having this thing for you like...something sparked in me that other girls wasn't able to do. I liked girls because I just want to be with them because they were attractive.."
"But to you, yeah you are attractive but it makes me feel like that I want to do more things with you, things that friends aren't able to do. You were on my mind whenever you came up and how safe you make me feel about myself, you truly understand me" He stutters
"What I'm trying to say is that, I like You Y/n. I want us to be more than best friends. I want you to graduate with me as we make a great future together" He finally said it
"I really really like you so much" Silence went by in seconds "So what do you say?" He asked in a low voice
Those words he says to you made you speechless. That has to be one of the sweetest things that a person ever said to you.
You were on the edge of crying but you didn't let yourself do that. Another silence went by "Y/n? Please answer me.." He says worriedly gripping your hands a little
"Eddie, can you promise me that you'll never leave my side?" You said making him nod "Okay..." You sigh and got ready to get hit by the blow of hurting his feelings
You gulp "You are one of the most reliable person I have ever asked for, what you said are also the things I felt for you but not in that type of way" You saw a spark on his eyes but it slowly fades away after you said the last part
"What do you mean?" Eddie asked letting go of your hands "You know how Robin is a lesbian?" You asked making him wide his eyes "Are you a lesbian too?"
"What? No no no. I'm not" You said quickly "So what are you saying?"
"The thing is that Eddie, I'm AroAce" You said to him leaving him confuse "AroAce? What- What does that mean?"
"Meaning that I don't feel sexually and romantically to a person. I never had a crush on someone and I just don't feel that way about you" You said. Eddie unwiden his eyes and looked down
You were tensed since Eddie wasn't a speaking for a half minute, he lifts his head up and turns around sitting on the other direction, not facing you as he activates the boat again
The boat arrived by ground and he still wasn't looking at you "Eddie, Eddie please look at me" Eddie stands up and leaves the boat
You quickly stand up and left the boat going after him "Please just let me explain, I like you Eddie I really do but not romantically. Eddie please.." Your voice broke as he ignores you and he was close going to his van
"You aren't like this Eddie. Eddie fucking look at me please" You beg as he stops mid part away from his van, he turns around with a sad look on his face
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He asked "I just didn't wanna hurt you"
"What does that make a difference that you didn't told me sooner? If only you told me before I began having feelings for you" Eddie had a little voice crack making him verge into tears
"G-God fucking damn it.." He sniffs and grips his hair
"I just didn't know how to tell you-" Eddie puts away his tears with his hand "Eddie I'm so sorry, we can still be best friends-" Eddie stops you
"Just stop it. Alright, Just stop!" Eddie goes into his Van and activates his engines "No no no! Eddie I can't lose you! You can't- Eddie please!" You cry out banging his window
"Please let me explain! I never hated you! Open this fucking door Eddie!"
"Eddie you fucking idiot open this door!" You tried opening the door harder as the engine goes loud and his Van quickly moves making you fall on the ground
The van goes away to the distance as you stand up and tried to go after Eddie's van. You shout at him to come back as tears slowly comes out of your eyes, your heart raced making you slow and tired from running after him
He went away since you couldn't see his van anymore. You slowly dropped down to your knees and began crying, tears were dripping rapidly. You grip to the flowers he gave and you shout a cry.
