Work Text:

James was bored out of his mind. Sure, there were always people coming and going at the Order’s headquarters, but that didn’t mean that anything was really happening. Sirius had dragged him into the sitting room to play a game of chess. James hadn’t been in the mood for chess, but also hadn’t known what else to do and thus hadn’t resisted. James just desperately wanted some action, he didn’t care what kind of action. He hadn’t seen his boyfriend in four days, so no action there. The Death Eaters hadn’t been on a raid in over a week and James had still been recovering from a nasty hex on his leg that time, so he hadn’t been in on that action either. To top it all off, the last muggle hunt the Death Eaters held had been over a month ago. James was sure another hunt was due to happen soon. The hunts were generally used to keep morale up amongst the Death Eaters, and they’d lost quite a few members over the last few raids.

James thoughtlessly moved a pawn forward, causing Sirius to smirk victoriously. Apparently that had been a bad move and he had just handed Sirius the win. Right at that moment, James felt the right side of his robe pull down, as if suddenly weighted down by something heavy. He put his hand in a hidden pocket and felt his fingers brush along a smooth stone with some etched lines. He fought to keep a smile from appearing on his face. He clenched and unclenched his fingers around the stone in excited and impatient anticipation. This was his sign that some action was coming.

“How many moves until checkmate?” James asked.

“Two,” Sirius stated proudly.

“Congrats. Would you feel bad if we called it? I really need the bathroom.” James squirmed a little for good measure.

“Nah, go. I will just bask in my genius for a bit.” Sirius tipped James’ king and leaned back in his chair, affecting an air of arrogance and self-importance. James gave him a playful shove on the way out of the sitting room. The only bathroom was up the stairs and though James desperately wanted to run to it, he casually strolled up to appear entirely normal. Without looking he grabbed the door handle and pulled, only for the door to not budge.

“Just a second,” Dorcas’ voice came from the other side. James leaned against the wall, annoyed and impatient. The stone was burning a hole in his pocket and he really wanted to read it. The muffled sound of a toilet being flushed filtered through the wall. Not a minute later Dorcas exited the bathroom, but closed the door before James could move past her to get in.

“I… recommend a bubble-head charm. I had a few chocolate frogs earlier,” Dorcas laughed sheepishly.

“Aren’t you allergic to chocolate?” James asked.

“Yes. That’s why I’m warning you. It smells in there.” Dorcas pushed past him to take the stairs down, while James cast the charm as a precaution. He opened the door and entered, tightly locking the door behind him both physically and magically. He sat down on the edge of the bath and was finally able to pull the stone from his pocket.

Maestir, Wales. MH – R

James couldn’t believe his luck. He’d been hoping for this. Finally some action was coming his way. He altered the charm to send the stone back to say he was coming as soon as he could. He flushed the toilet for appearance’s sake, unlocked the door fully and cancelled the bubble-head charm right as he opened it. The slight whiff of smell he got from the bathroom had him gagging and he quickly closed the door behind him. He should probably tell people about that, but where would the fun be in that? No, the next person would have to find out for themselves. Downstairs a hustle and bustle had started with doors slamming and people shouting at each other. Somewhere through the din he heard a voice call his name.

“Coming,” he shouted, before he hurried down the stairs. The hallway was suddenly crowded with people, more than had been present in the building when James had gone to the bathroom. In the middle of the crowd stood Dumbledore. James stopped three steps from the bottom to look over the crowd.

“…all over the country.” James couldn’t hear the start of Dumbledore’s sentence, but he could imagine what it has sounded like. “It would appear they are simply after muggles for the fun of it. I need all hands on deck, as they are attacking all over the country. Stop them from murdering the muggles and obliviate anyone who might have seen anything. Alright, two people to Launceston, Cornwall.” Two people directly in front of Dumbledore responded affirmatively, and started to make their way to the exit.

“Next, I need two people to Maestir, Wales.”

“Me,” James said before Dumbledore was done saying the location.

“I’ll back him up, I suppose,” Sirius responded. James raised his eyebrows. This was going to be interesting. He stepped down the last steps and a path formed through the crowd for James to pass through. Sirius also made his way to the exit. They stepped outside as Dumbledore called the next town somewhere in Scotland.

“Ready to kick some Death Eater butt?” Sirius asked. James thought he could hear Sirius literally buzzing with excitement. His eyes had lit up with a excited determination. James was hiding his own excitement for what was coming behind a grim look.

“We have to be careful, Padfoot. Can’t rush in, that will be the end of us,” James tried to talk his friend down into a calmer state. He really couldn’t have Sirius going in wand blazing and spells flying. Collateral damage was inevitable with that strategy and James wanted to minimisecould not use collateral damage; it led to too many inconvenient questions. They gave each other one last look before apparating to Maestir.

James opened his eyes to see Maestir was a collection of about ten houses, maybe even less, which made it incredibly easy to spot the house with the Dark Mark floating above it. It was slightly up the road, away from the cluster. It was a smart play, easier to set up a muggle repelling ward around a solitary house. They apparated to the house with a pop, leaving the rest of the village to their own devices.

The house was dark, from what they could see from the road, but that usually said nothing about whether or not the house was actually empty or not. Oftentimes the Death Eaters hid in the back, setting an alarm on the front to know when the Order arrived to interrupt them. James looked around on the ground and took three steps to a significant rock. He picked it up and tossed it up a little to check its heft.

“What are going to do with that?” Sirius asked, eyeing the stone curiously. James nodded his head to the house, then cocked his arm back and chucked it hard at the window. A loud crash followed, the rock sailing into the room and leaving a hole in the window.

“That is what I was going to do with that,” James shrugged. “Let’s see who’s coming to investigate, shall we?”

The two of them headed to the front door, which Sirius proceeded to blast off its hinges. James was surprised at Sirius’ force, but could appreciate the effectiveness. The hallway behind was dark. On the left, James could just barely make out a door further into the house, most likely the room that was now home to the rock he threw. The door opened and a skinny Death Eater entered the hallway, wand out in front of them. James and Sirius were ready for them though, and both shot a nonverbal stunner their way. They didn’t stand a chance and slumped to the ground. Sirius stepped forward to check the pulse and pulled the silver mask up to reveal the face of the young Barty Crouch. Sirius gave him a thumbs up to show Crouch was still alive. James didn’t really care either way, but less clean-up was always a plus. James pushed the door further open. A thud sounded as it hit the rock. Well, that told James exactly what room was behind the door.

“Honey, I’m home,” James said loudly in a sing-song voice. Sirius’ head snapped up.

“What the fuck?” he whispered.

“It will be fine,” James whispered back. He stepped into the room, not seeing anyone there. Towards the back of the house was another door, from where they heard some faint whimpering. James motioned for Sirius to join him at the door, moving to the side of the door and stretching his arm to the handle. Sirius stopped right in front, ready to step through the moment the door opened.

“Three,” James whispered. “Two. One.” He pulled the door open and Sirius stepped through before freezing in the doorway. James stepped behind him, slightly to the side so he could look over his shoulder. Across the room was a Death Eater with his back to them, standing in front of a muggle tied to a chair. A familiar silver mask was discarded on the dinner table beside them. James would recognise that silhouette anywhere, especially when coupled with the candle light shining on the dark, wavy, shoulder-length hair. Clearly, Sirius had recognised the person as well.

“Regulus?” Sirius asked weakly. The figure turned around to reveal, indeed, a smirking Regulus. His non-wand hand was stained red with what was most likely blood. Behind Regulus a muggle man became half-visible, his face pale and scared and nose bleeding profusely.

“Please, help me,” the man whimpered.

“Hello, brother,” Regulus said, ignoring the muggle behind him. He made eye contact with James for a split second, before focussing back on Sirius. The brief glance was enough for James to raise his wand behind Sirius and wait for the signal.

“Goodbye, brother,” Regulus said, and with that James shot a stunner at Sirius’ unsuspecting back. The two of them watched as Sirius fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes, head making a loud dull thud as it hit the wooden floor.

“I thought you would come alone,” Regulus admonished James.

“I was planning to, but I had barely read your message when half the Order was already arriving at HQ. Someone else on your end is a mole. Dumbledore had a list of all the places. I quickly claimed this one, but no one goes on a mission alone and I can’t exactly get rid of him. He truly is his Animagus form even when he’s human. A lost puppy, trailing behind me, constantly desiring attention.”

James used his foot to turn Sirius to his back, dispassionately checking for any injuries. He then motioned for Regulus to pull up a chair. Regulus took one of the chairs and set it down in front of the couple with slightly more force than necessary.

“Don’t be like that darling. Let’s make sure he’s secured before he wakes, and then I’ll give you a welcome-home kiss,” James responded lightly to Regulus’ annoyance. Levitating Sirius’ unresponsive body into the chair, James held him there as Regulus conjured ropes around the chair and Sirius’ legs, torso and arms. The ropes visibly tightened further than was strictly necessary, but James couldn’t find it in his heart to blame Regulus. After all, he had been spending more time with his boyfriend’s brother than he did with his actually boyfriend the past few months.

Confident that Sirius wouldn’t get out, James reached for Regulus and pulled him into his arms.

“I’m happy to see you, babe. And you brought me a present, which makes me so incredibly happy. You are the best boyfriend I could ever wish for,” James whispered as he showered Regulus with kisses on his lips and cheeks and along his jawline. He ended by sucking lightly on the pulse point just below Regulus’ left ear. Regulus let out a shuddering breath, clearly affected by his ministrations.

“Alright, you are forgiven,” Regulus accepted. “Now, I know it’s been a while, but I really would like some more foreplay before going to the hot action.” James stopped mid-lick up Regulus’ throat at that.

“Are you saying… You mean we have time to…” his eyes flickered between Regulus and the muggle. Regulus nodded. James’ face lit up with happiness as if he was five years old and Regulus was Santa bringing him presents. He grabbed his face and planted a sloppy kiss on Regulus’ lips before striding over to the muggle. The man was eyeing him warily, now certain that no help was coming from James at least, but uncertain what was coming instead.

“You and I are going to have so much fun,” James told the muggle. “What is your name?”

“A-archib-bald,” the man stuttered.

“Archibald. Merlin, that’s pretentious. Reg, this man’s name is even more pretentious than yours.” James looked over his shoulder to where Regulus used to be, but Regulus was gone. He raised his eyebrows in confusion.

“Regulus?” he said again, a little louder this time.

“If you think it’s that pretentious, call him Gary or something,” Regulus drawled from the front room. James walked back to the doorway to find him perusing the bookcase along one of the walls.

“What are you doing?”

“Trying to understand Gary,” Regulus said, as if it was the most normal thing in the world and they weren’t going to leave the man for dead when they were through.

“Why?”

“That way it will hurt more.” James shook his head. This was the difference between them. James liked things straightforward, easy was how Regulus described it usually. Physical violence was the way to go. Regulus liked to do things the hard way. He’d worm his way into their heads, make them think their loved ones were already dead. James thought it was rather boring. Regulus pulled a thick tome out.

“It would appear your present is some kind of healer,” Regulus said, showing James the front cover of the book. James narrowed his eyes to read the gold letters on the red cover.

“Atlas of the human anatomy? This is wonderful! Now I can see what I’m doing.” James grabbed Regulus’ free hand and dragged him back to Gary.

“Hi Gary, we’re back! Good news, we know what we’re going to do. My partner found your atlas,” James explained. Gary looked confused until he spotted the book in Regulus’ arms. What little colour was still in his face drained away. Fear crossed his face.

“No, please. I’ll give you anything. You can have the house, I’ll even transfer all my money to you. I have about a hundred thousand pounds in a savings account,” Gary started babbling, trying anything to get out of this. James and Regulus looked at each other and burst out laughing.

“Oh Gary, we don’t need your money or your residence. We have more than enough of that ourselves. No, we really want to do this,” James told him. “We’re going to need a knife. Kitchen, where’s the kitchen?” James turned around to the only door in the room he hadn’t tried yet.

“James, you’re a wizard! Bloody conjure one!” Regulus said exasperated.

“You’re the one who likes mind games, yet you can’t fathom what a mindfuck it would be, to be cut up with your own kitchen knife? I thought you were smarter than that.” Regulus sighed and motioned with his head for James to get that knife, while he put the book down on the dinner table. James found the kitchen and pulled open a random drawer. It was full of random knick-knacks like rubber bands, paper clips and other stuff he could not use to cut into Gary. The next drawer did have cutlery in it. James rifled through it, seeing if there were any knives he could use. The knife couldn’t be too small. Not because a small knife wouldn’t work, but because of personal preference. Regulus had once said something about him using the knife to compensate for other things, but he had decided to ignore that. He did manage to locate a nice medium-sized knife that was also balanced and comfortable in his hand. It did look a little blunt, but he could fix that. He would alter it anyways, to have it cauterise the wounds immediately – wouldn’t want Gary to bleed out before they were done.

“Found one,” James excitedly said, waving the knife around as he returned to the room. He stood next to Regulus to see what page he had settled on.

“I thought we could start somewhere easily accessible. The thigh looks good. And if you mess it up, we can try again on the other side,” Regulus pointed out. James nodded and took out his wand to prepare the knife. He then moved his wand to his non-dominant hand and took the knife in his dominant hand.

“Alright, first we will clear the area,” James said, as if teaching someone. He waved his wand and banished Gary’s trousers. The man was now only wearing a his boxers and a pair of socks from the waist down.  “Oh, well toned legs. What’s your workout routine?” Regulus snorted at that while Gary kept begging for them to let him go.

James rested the knife on the thigh. Gary stilled as soon as he felt the cold blade touch his skin. The muscles in his thigh became more pronounced as he involuntarily flexed them. James pressed the knife in and drew a line over the top of the thigh from the hip down to the knee. He took care not to press in too hard and to not cut into any of the muscles. Gary’s high pitched wail rang through the room. A smile formed on James’ face, he loved it when they screamed. Regulus however sighed.

“Could you please shut him up?” he asked exasperated.

“What? No! Shit, now I’ve pressed too hard!” James looked at the too deep gash, maybe he could save it, he didn’t think he got to the muscle yet. “The screaming is the best part! It’s such a pretty symphony. It starts high and then as it continues, it gets lower and lower, descending into despair and hoarseness.”

“It’s tedious and annoying,” Regulus argued. James pouted. “No, don’t give me the pout. It won’t work! Ugh, fine! But please put up a bubble-head charm to at least muffle the sound.”

James surged forward and planted a firm kiss on Regulus’ lips. He knew the pout would work, but that meant he had to reward him for his compromise. A groan sounded behind them from the direction of where they had Sirius tied up. They broke apart and looked at Sirius.

“I think we woke Sirius up,” James giggled.

“Excellent observational skills, Potter,” Regulus deadpanned. He turned around to have a look at his brother. James leaned his chin on Regulus’ shoulder, the knife hanging loosely in his hand by his side. “Welcome back to the land of the waking.”

Sirius blinked several times, trying to focus, before settling his gaze on the two of them. James gave a smile and waved, the knife still in his hand. Sirius’ eyes flicked between the two of them, the knife and the shivering and crying muggle behind them.

“What did you do?” Sirius angrily spat at Regulus.

“Me? I’ve barely done anything. Barty broke the man’s nose and James is playing at surgeon. I’m just giving him directions with the help of this wonderful book.” With that Regulus showed him the anatomical atlas.

“What did you do to James?” Sirius elaborated.

“Oh, so much. I’ve kissed him, edged him, pierced his nipples, railed him,” Regulus listed.

“Don’t forget you marked me as yours,” James added.

“Oh right. I should give Bella her knife back,” Regulus mused.

“What kind of spell or potion do you have on him? This isn’t James!” Sirius struggled against the ropes, but they wouldn’t budge.

“Oh, but this is me, Padfoot. Not all those dead animals after a full moon were Moony’s kills. It was also my time to let off some steam. Regulus helped me see that it’s fine to be like this. He invites me to these hunts. The muggles are dead anyways and I get some fun out of it. Unfortunately, we can’t let you go right now. I’ve barely started with my fun –“ a soft, horrified whimper came out of Gary at that statement – “and you can’t return to Dumbles alone. So you’re just going to have to sit tight and be patient.”

“James! Snap out of it!”

“Can I at least, please, shut him up,” Regulus pleaded with James. James considered it, and because he already got his screaming from Gary, he was fine with conceding on this point. He nodded and Regulus pointed his wand at Sirius.

“Regulus, don’t you da-“ Whatever else Sirius was going to say remained a mystery as Regulus silenced him. His mouth kept moving, most likely shouting profanities at the both of them, but it was blissfully silent again. Regulus turned back to the atlas.

“Now, I believe you were searching for the musculus rectus femoris,” he said.

“Is that what it’s called?” James questioned, also looking at the book. “Oh, that’s the one on top that extends your knee! Alright, let’s see if I can find it.”

Gary whimpered, tears streamed down his face and he was breathing heavily from, what James assumed, both pain and fear. James assessed the straight line he’d already carved down the length of the thigh. It was going to be hard to really find anything with just one little slit, he’d need more of an open working space.

“Babe, how do you suppose I can create more visibility? Should I put a pair of tongs in there to keep it open?” James asked. Regulus peered over.

“You could try it. Or maybe go for two T’s? That would mean trying to skin him, not sure how good you are at that.”

“Tongs first. I can always attempt the other strategy on the other leg.” James pointed his wand towards the kitchen and tried summoning tongs. Only one pair flew towards him. He quickly duplicated them and shoved them in the open wound at both ends. Gary howled in pain. James could hear Regulus bristle with annoyance, but he ignored him. It electrified him, silence was way too boring. James tried to reach around the bottom tongs to carefully deepen the cut towards the muscle, but found that it was severely hindering him in his movement.

“Shit! Fuck!” he cursed, moving his hand and the knife left and right. “Option two it is!”

He yanked the set of tongs out again, eliciting yet another high pitched scream from Gary. He added two horizontal cuts from the inside of the thigh to the outside, crossing the ends of the vertical cut he already had. Gary shrieked and begged before suddenly going quiet. Both James and Regulus looked up from Gary’s thigh in surprise.

“He passed out,” James stated disappointed. “Why do they always pass out?”

“That’s what pain does to people,” Regulus explained.

“Not with the Cruciatus. They always pass out afterwards, never during.”

“Hmm, you’re right. We need to study that one day.” Regulus pulled out a notebook and a quill and wrote something down. James assumed it had to do with what they just discussed, but he wasn’t sure as Regulus continued to refuse to show him what he has written in it.

“Rennervate,” James revived Gary. Gary’s eyes opened wide and he immediately gasped in pain. “Now Gary, I really need you to stay awake. If you don’t, my boyfriend over there will have to punish you. Do you understand?”

Gary fearfully nodded his head. James knew he wouldn’t be able to keep his word, but that was just part of the fun. They all knew he would pass out again, they were just all waiting for it to happen. James and Regulus hoped it would happen sooner, while Gary prayed to every deity known to man that it would happen later.

James gripped the knife tightly again and started to carefully cut deeper and deeper until he thought he saw muscle. Gary tried to keep his pained screams in, but his whimpers soon turned into screams again. James tried to pull on the skin to open it up, but something stopped it from moving after about an inch. James wasn’t sure what it was, but he was going to get rid of it. He cut the offending layer away. As more and  more skin fell to the side, the muscle underneath became visible.

“Oh god,” Gary said weakly as he looked down at his leg, before promptly fainting again. James ignored it for a while in favour of finishing his work.

“Reg, he passed out again.”

“I can see that. Move over, I need to be able to look into his eyes.”

“Oh, I can help with that!” James put his thumbs under the eye and pressed in, slowly forcing the eye out. With a wet pop it came out, dangling by its relaxed muscles and heavily extended optical nerve. Regulus pulled a slightly disgusted face.

“I could’ve just pulled his lids up, but alright.” Regulus gingerly took the eye and looked into it. James never really understood what it was Regulus did exactly. He knew it had to do with Legilimency, but that was as far as he got. Gary’s face relaxed and a smile even graced his features. James knew that it wouldn’t last. There always came a moment where that smile would turn into a look of abject horror.

“James,” Sirius whispered. James looked away from the torture Regulus was inflicting.

“What?” he asked, annoyed that he was missing the torture.

“When did this happen?” Sirius had clearly giving up on getting out and convincing James was not this person.

“Define ‘this’.”

“I don’t know. You and Regulus. Your… desire to inflict pain.” Sirius floundered, unable to fully articulate what he was really asking.

“Uh, always really. I don’t really remember a time where I didn’t. And me and Reg happened some time after the first or second full moon of sixth year. His aptitude in Legilimency showed him my preferences. How I would fantasise about the animals I’d killed during the full moon. Usually fantasy was enough to curb my urges, but sometimes I needed to let off some steam on a person and Regulus would take care of that. He’d grab someone for me to hurt and afterwards he’d make sure they remembered nothing.”

“How did you get into Gryffindor?”

“It’s not that I don’t believe in what Gryffindor stands for, I just really want to hurt people sometimes. Like I said, Reg invites me to these, because whether I’m here or not, the muggle is dead. At least this way my desire for pain is satiated for another month.”

James knew that his explanation sucked. He wasn’t good at putting words to his desires. Sirius did look a little confused.

“Noooooooooo,” Gary suddenly wailed. Sirius jumped up as far as the ropes allowed him to, the chair wobbling slightly onto two legs before settling back on all fours.

“What is he doing?” Sirius asked.

“I don’t really understand it. Regulus says that he goes into their mind, finds a happy memory to play out and then slowly starts manipulating it into something horrifying. How, or what, I really don’t know.”

“He used to do that to me,” Sirius whispered. James was surprised by that. He knew Regulus had been doing it since he was young, but that he’d practiced on his brother was news to him.

“I don’t think he did it with the same intentions though. He made me hate him, by twisting certain memories I had of the two of us. I think he did it to make sure I didn’t have any good feelings towards anyone in our family. Clean break and all.”

“I did enjoy doing it,” Regulus suddenly said. He had apparently been listening in on their conversation. “It made it easier to let you go. I just focused on the good feelings that came with the pain I caused you.”

“You ruined all of my good memories of you. Even the ones from before Hogwarts.” Sirius was clearly hurt by Regulus’ actions, but he just shrugged.

“I did it out of love, if that makes you feel any better, but I don’t regret any of it. James, your turn again. I’m bored of the anatomy lesson though. Just have at it.”

“Oh, you sure?” James asked uncertain.

“Yes. Sirius killed the mood.” James sighed and took Regulus in his arms. He leaned his forehead against Regulus’.

“You didn’t enjoy your mindfuck?” James whispered.

“I did, but then Sirius had to add feelings. I am just not feeling it anymore.”

“Do you want to go another round before I finish him off? I don’t think Gary will last much longer to be honest.”

“Maybe we can do something together. You carve into him, and I’ll make him enjoy it.”

“Sounds like an excellent plan. Think you can make him come?” James smirked at his own idea.

“Challenge accepted,” Regulus smirked as well. They broke apart and James pointed his wand at Sirius, silencing him once again. It was at that moment that he wondered when their previous Silencio had failed, but he decided to put it out of his mind for the time being. Meanwhile, Regulus had gotten rid of Gary’s remaining clothes, leaving the man nude in the chair.

Regulus kneeled down in front of Gary so he could make eye contact. James stood behind the chair, casually draping his right arm over Gary’s shoulder, the knife lightly resting against the muggle’s collar bone. Gary’s breathing shortened and he shook his head in fear. What little hope he had gotten from the conversation that had just happened evaporated instantly. James looked Regulus in the eyes, raising an eyebrow in question. Regulus nodded and broke eye contact in favour of catching Gary’s eye. James waited a minute to make sure Regulus was firmly settled in Gary’s mind and in the right place.

“Hi Gary,” James said lowly into Gary’s ear. “We’re going to have one last bit of fun, but don’t worry, you’ll like it too.”

James lightly moved the knife all across Gary’s torso and arms. It didn’t pierce the skin, but it did elicit goose bumps everywhere the knife came. He circled the nipples with a little more pressure, seeing them harden, even if Gary sharply inhaled in fear. James moved the knife back to the collar bones and pressed a little harder, piercing the skin. No blood fell and James remembered the cauterising spell he’d put on the knife. He cancelled the spell while he moved it to the other collar bone. There he again made a shallow cut. This time small rivulets of blood started to trickle down. A small shiver ran through Gary’s body. James smirked, Regulus’ manipulations were working.

“You like that Gary? You like how that knife is cutting into you?” James asked, adding fuel onto the fire. “I can make it feel even better.”

James moved the knife lightly back down to Gary’s nipples, circling them in figure-eights before cutting slightly deeper into the skin around them than he did on the collar bones. Blood dripped down and onto the hardened nipples. A twitch lower down caught James’ eye. His gaze shifted over and saw that Gary’s cock was starting to harden as well. James smirked. He was really enjoying this and they should do this more often. James lightly caressed the knife down along the stomach to Gary’s belly button. From there he pulled it to the side, moving it back up to the armpit. A moan faintly filtered out through the bubble-head charm. Regulus waved his hand and dispelled the charm, causing the moan to suddenly increase in volume. The knife travelled back down in a long, red streak to Gary’s groin. There, James lifted the pressure and lightly moved it up and down his cock. The cock twitched and precum dribbled out the tip. James caught a little on the knife and lifted it up to his mouth. He licked the precum off and hummed.

“You taste magnificent, Gary,” he whispered in his ear. Gary moaned.

“Please,” he gasped.

“Please what? I need you to be more specific there, Gary.”

“Please. More. Need… more.”

James put the flat of the blade back on Gary’s dick, which immediately twitched in response. He slowly applied more and more pressure as well as rotating it to the sharp edge. Gary let out a keen that got higher and higher in pitch as the pressure increased. A drop of blood welled up underneath the blade. James lifted the knife.

“More,” Gary panted.

“Reg,” James said to draw his boyfriends attention.

“Yes,” he responded, not taking his eyes off Gary.

“Death climax?”

“Yes.” Now with Regulus’ permission, James stabbed the knife into Gary’s gut, right through his navel. Gary screamed in both pain and orgasmic haze. White ropes of semen shot out of his twitching cock.

“Thank you,” Gary panted.

“No, thank you, Gary,” Regulus said, finally breaking eye contact. “Thank you for your sacrifice.”

With that, James took the knife out of Gary’s gut, raised it up and roughly pushed it through his throat. Blood immediately leaked out as James cut straight through both jugulars. Gary coughed once, blood coming up. Regulus wiped his face from the few drops that reached him, while Gary slumped forward, dead.

“We should do this more often,” James said. “It was strangely intimate. Next time I want to come too.”

“You’re right. It was definitely hot. Next time we’ll make it the main event. Can you not do the eye again, please. It’s really gross. It just, I don’t know, dangles there? Look, it moves when the jaw moves.” Regulus opened and closed Gary’s lower jaw to show how the popped eye wobbled back and forth with the movement. “How am I supposed to focus on it when it’s all wiggling about?”

“Okay, that is distracting. Fine, I’ll keep both eyes in their sockets next time,” James conceded. “Thank you for calling me. I really needed this. I’ve been bored out of my mind. Being here made me incredibly happy. I would have hated to have ended up somewhere else, where all I would have been able to do was put an end to it.”

“You’re welcome. I’m always happy to make my boyfriend happy. After all, you saved my arse three weeks ago.” Regulus looked around them. “We need to mess up the place a bit. It’s too clean if we want to convince Sirius about a fight.”

“Why don’t we convince him that we’ve been walking around the area all this time because you and Barty didn’t put up the mark? It would explain the time, while not having to mess up the place. We can even leave the chair. You or Barty used it.” Regulus considered James’ idea.

“Yeah, sure. Where is Barty anyways?”

“Oh, we hit him with two stunners and then he hit his head on the floor. We didn’t bother to catch him. He’s probably going to be out for a while longer and have a killer headache when he wakes up.”

“I can work with that. He’ll have had his fun. Which is incredibly primitive and uninventive by the way. Just the Cruciatus curse. That’s all he can think of. Probably good you got rid of him, I would’ve been bored out of my mind. Alright, Sirius first.” Regulus moved to stand in front of Sirius who started to frantically shake his head. He attempted to say something despite being silenced. Regulus ignored it and pointed his wand at him. Two minutes later Sirius slackened in the ropes keeping him bound.

“He’ll be out of it for a minute. Get him up. I’ll see you later.” With that Regulus pressed his lips one last time to James’. James deepened the kiss, wanting that one last taste of him before he had to miss him for Merlin knew how long again. Regulus broke the kiss, more aware of the time than James. He walked out the room and not long after James heard the tell-tale pop of apparition. A groan from Sirius prompted James to get into action. He dispelled the ropes and took Sirius to the entryway of the room. He turned him around to look into the room. Sirius focussed right at that moment again.

“What? Ah fuck, we’re late,” Sirius complained as he spotted the dead Gary.

“What? Shit,” James feigned surprise as he too walked in. “I guess it’s clear why they kept it inconspicuous, they really went to town on the guy. Looks muggle enough, let’s go before the muggle aurors show up.” James pulled on Sirius’ arm. Sirius remained standing in the doorway, so James pulled more forcefully on his shoulder, causing him to lose balance. Sirius stepped back, turned around and exited the house. James gave Gary one last look, before he too exited the house. He found Sirius throwing up against the wall next to the front door. James looked away, disgusted. Blood and gore he was fine with, but he was an empathetic vomiter.

“You done?” he asked Sirius, pointedly not looking at him.

“Yes,” Sirius responded hoarsely. “Let’s go, I need to brush my teeth.”

Before James could even respond, Sirius apparated back to the Order HQ. James shrugged, not as if that was going to be a problem. Sirius could handle Albus. James took another minute, he wasn’t entirely ready to go back to the boredom of HQ. At least his desire to hurt people had been satiated. He hoped he wouldn’t have to wait this long again, he might do something to one of the Order members if that happened. Maybe a raid would happen in a week or two, so he could let loose again. Until then, the memory of Gary orgasming to a knife in the gut would have to be enough. He spun on his heel and apparated back to the Order.
