The prince is looking right at him.
“Please, Techno.” he says. There are tears dropping down his face, getting blown off his cheeks by the force of the wind. “Don’t keep me waiting too long, alright?”
The prince glows, brighter than any star Techno’s ever seen. It’s the same glow from earlier- the one that blinded him. The one that caged the darkness. Techno knows it won’t last forever.
His vision goes white as the kid erupts like a supernova, trapping a beast that he had no business fighting in the first place.
He’s too young.
He’s-
“-stop being a bitch and just WAKE UP!”

Techno opens his eyes and immediately chokes on water.

Techno wakes up in a ruined world, 100 years in the future and with no memory of his past. He's been resurrected by an ancient shrine, tasked with saving the kid who haunts his nightmares, the one who everyone said was a brother to him. He doesn't have much time-- Tommy gets weaker with every day and XD's rot only grows.
He really thinks he should be paid more for this. He's just saying-- he deserves a raise.
