Summary
Shinsou Hitoshi has an important assignment. He is to go undercover and bring a dangerous activist group to justice. The Commission was wary of them, they were gaining supporters at an astonishingly quick rate and were spouting some dangerous ideas. Ideas like Heroics should be more exclusive and even more frighteningly, hero high schools shouldn’t exist. They were led by an enigmatic figure, a woman with a powerful mental quirk, one that could convince people to do her bidding. The group was making waves around universities Japan-wide. Heroics, a job that had been oversaturated for as long as it had existed was in danger of becoming understaffed.
Shinsou Hitoshi is conflicted. As he learns more about the organization he starts questioning everything he had been taught. What makes a hero? Who gets to decide when people are deemed heroes and when they are villains? And more damningly, were heroes even helping anyone? Or were heroes simply a product of an unjust society, one focused on punishment rather than redemption?
Shinsou Hitoshi is a hero. But he isn't so sure what that means anymore.
