Work Text:
Link wasn’t one for thinking. Especially not for the extensive thoughts that just made his head hurt the more he tried to focus. He just needs to empty his mind and stay on track. Zelda is relying on him. He can’t get lost inside his own head and get distracted. He’s done this before, and he’ll do it again.
His eyes trace the ridge of the mountain till a speck of blue and green swirls came to view. Finally, another shrine. He pulls out the Purah Pad and places a marker right over it. After checking the map, this shrine was wedged between two neighboring regions with no nearby shrines or towers to teleport to that’ll make the journey easier. Oh well, he hasn’t explored this area much yet, so it seems he’ll just have to make due.
One quick whistle later and Pickle came galloping from behind him. Her blue speckled coat flowing as Link grabbed the reins and threw his leg over onto the other side. As soon as he does, the breeze of Hyrule passed through him.
He always enjoyed the feeling.
Wind reminds him of the wild. That it is untamed like a creature and carves a path without any direction. He feels it whisk through his hair. Pushing it back while simultaneously throwing the stray strands against his face.
The sounds of the hooves stomping along the gravel and the proud tunes of the birds ground him.
Link lets a smile onto his face. Closing his eyes and enjoying the sun and the breath of the wild against his face.
Just as sudden as he relaxed, the panicked whine of Pickle brought him out of his trance. She screamed and bucked when a spot of darkness grasped at her hoof and up her leg. Not a second later, Link twisted his body and swung the Master Sword down through its corrupted flesh. The mass shrieked, recoiling from the burn of the blade.
Link’s hands tightened around the reigns. He glares at the darkness till it recedes into the ground. Even with it no longer in sight, Link can’t help but watch the spot where it once was. What was that thing? Ever since Ganon rose from the grave, Hyrule has been covered in this “gloom.” Its evil creating chasms of endless darkness. Encountering the substance brought major side effects to anyone suicidal enough to come close to one. Even Link can admit he feels like the air becomes heavier whenever he enters a gloom ridden area.
After a couple minutes of intense glaring, Link let out a sigh.
Even more reason to find Zelda and eradicate the darkness as soon as possible.
His mouth quirks up a little. He brushes Pickle’s mane and chuckled as she whinnied and stomped her front hooves.
“Sorry girl. I’ll patch you up when we get to a stable. Will you forgive me if I give you five carrots?”
Pickles huffed. Link could swear he could see her roll her eyes as well.
“You’re hard to please, aren’t you? Fine, I’ll compromise on eight and no more.”/p />
The blue-spotted horse nodded in understanding. And started to gallop down the mountain side towards the stable off to the west. Nearly catapulting Link off in her quest for treats.
“Slow down, Pickles! Your back hoof is still damaged,” Link laughed. His thighs clinging for life and hands gripping her mane. Not daring to try and control a horse that has set her mind on food.
Right before reaching the bottom of the cliff, a determined black mass appeared out of the corner of his vision. Link’s eyes widened in recognition. He attempted to grab for the reigns but the speed at which they were descending wouldn’t allow for Link to sacrifice even a hand before being thrown off. He grimaced and watched as the darkness shot in front of their path. Bubbling and waiting for more victims to fall right into their grasp.
They won’t have time to dodge it. At this rate, both him and Pickles are running headfirst into whatever evil essence that is.
What can he do? They’re getting closer and closer, but Pickles is showing no sign of stopping.
Movement. Link’s eyes focused on the mass again. There was something pushing under the cover of the gloom. Like a shark breaching water, a hand shot out of the malice, dripping in its fluids. Soon, more of then followed. Each appendage screeching under exposure of the Hyrulian Sun. The surrounding area darkens as a shadow falls across them. Specks of Malice floats in the air in a mimicry of the Blood Moon. Its spasming slows. The palms turning towards the sound coming down from the mountain.
Their many eyes meet his.
Link’s face turns white.
The eyes pulse at the sight of prey. Screaming into the air and jerking in glee. The malice grows heavier in the air, suffocating the area in a red haze.
-----------------------------------
The gloom knew the human was the target. It’s all too gangly limbs and weird exoskeleton that it seems to swap out every so often. Their master was very clear that this human mustn’t be taken lightly and to dispose of it as soon as possible. But its animal companion with its cries so sweet would surely taste better. They’ve ate so many humans that have ignorantly wondered into their territory they’ve all started tasting the same. It wouldn’t hurt to spice up their pallet occasionally. One shot forward to grab at the animal before a great pain racked through it. It convulsed in shock as electric currents ran through its body. The other hands ignored their fallen comrade and moved towards their target before being met a similar fate.
The human landed on the ground. Brows furrowed in concentration and arrow ready with a yellow fruit attached to the head. The blue-spotted horse disappearing behind him.
They twitched in pain, paralyzed from the shock. The ones who shook it off quicker stalked after the human. Following it up the mountain side.
The bipedal creature jumped off the side of the cliff and shot three more of those shock fruits. Two landed in its eye while the other one whizzed past them into the distance. Another cluster of gloom hands climbed atop each other to reach the human. Gurgling in hunger and pure voracity.
The human noticed their decreasing distance. It pulled out a weird cloth which allowed it to cover more area. No worries, the gloom isn’t in a rush. No prey of theirs have ever escaped be it with their lives or sanity intact.
----------------------------------------
Shit, shit, shit…
Link ran further up the mountain. Heaving with every sprint. Sweat making his clothes cling to his skin. He doesn’t know how long it’s been since he ran out of arrows, but he isn’t risking doing face to face combat against those things. If he can just reach an area steep enough, the monster won’t be able to climb after him. Most creations of Ganon are unusually bad climbers which he prayed these ones were as well. There!
Gripping the slope of rocks, Link began to shuffle diagonally upwards. He can hear the squelches of the gloom behind him. Coming closer. His jaw involuntarily drops as they follow him directly up the mountain, steepness be damned.
Why the hell can these things can scale walls? That is just not fair.
The gloom hands stared at him as their bodies followed his path. Unblinking just so that Link had to turned his head away from being under scrutiny of the psychedelic colors of their eyes.
He can hear then screeching louder and louder and the twisted creaks of their malice bodies inching towards him. Link’s eyes rush to each side of the mountain, scanning for an edge he can rest upon. Looking up, there is a small overhang. But when he tried to climb up, his body betrayed him. Link cussed under his breath. At the most inopportune time, his fingers are growing numb and the muscle in his legs are giving out. He won’t have enough stamina to reach it. Perhaps he can jump and paraglide away.
He can hear his heart nearly escaping from his chest. The whites of his eyes corrupted by red veins of stress and overexertion.
No. He can’t jump off now unless he wants to deliver himself directly to them like a pig on a platter. Link can feel his stamina slipping. His eyes look back towards the ledge above.
They then trail down to the gloom closing in on his heels. The malice nearly licking his ankles.
His teeth grind together. Mouth spread in a snarl. If he was home with Zelda, she would surely stand in the doorway with hands on her hips, shaking her head with a smile on her face. She would say stop pushing yourself so hard. You’re always too serious. And he would be there avoiding her gaze and chuckling.
His eyes widen.
Of course, Zelda. He needs to survive for Zelda. Zelda whom fell and disappeared. Zelda who never forgot him. Zelda who had hope and was so strong.
With each pain and tear, he pulled himself up the steep slope. Blisters are covering the pads of his fingers but it doesn’t matter. The mountains and its rough skin will not deter him. The ledge is where he needs to be and that is where he will go.
Link grunted when his foot slipped. As he tried to find his footing, a gloom hand seized his leg. His fingers gripped tighter onto the stone while using his other foot to kick at the hand. In a perfect swoop, his heel dug directly into the center of its eye, causing it to screech in pain and release his leg.
Link continued upward, ignoring the burning smell of his melted boot.
Judging from the distance, he might be able to make it if he leaped once. But that would use up all his stamina reserves. Yet the gloom has pretty much already caught up if it was able to snag his boot. But if he climbed regularly, he would have enough stamina to reach the top but risk getting grabbed again. Link frowned. Ignoring the blood dripping from his cut-up hand and falling into the malice, sizzling.
Of course, in Link’s dire arrangement, nothing can ever be as planned.
A speck of something wet landed on his nose. Link ignored it and tried to climb a little further before leaping. But then another drop landed on his hand. As he looked, a spot of water sat atop his skin. Mocking him.
Link’s body began to shake.
In a couple seconds those drops turned into a downpour, slicking up the rock and flattening his hair.
This can’t be happening. Link’s breath quickened. His eyes blown and body clinging to the wall not daring to move. The minute he shifts he is going to slide. Slide right into the open jaws of Ganon’s monster. But if he leaped.
Link shut his eyes tight. Water dripping onto his eyelids.
He must make it.
He needs to make it.
With one final push, Link kicked himself upward. But the moment he did, he could feel his foot slip.
His eyes that were facing the wall are now seeing the sky and the clouds above.
His arms are grasping at nothing.
Then he sees them.
Eyes. So many of them. Looking at him.
Link closed his own.
Limbo. A place of in between. No one alive knows what it is and no one dead remembers it. Link would believe it if that were where he was right now. He feels like he is floating. Suspended in air.
Something caresses his face. He leans into it.
Another strokes his neck and over his chest. There is a slight pressure. Almost like it is kneading him.
Link sighs.
Another creeps up his leg, hovering over his supple skin and planting feathery touches along the inside of his thigh.
Link lets out a quiet moan. Gasping when it moves from his thigh to the place behind his balls. Prodding at his hole.
Link shifts. Something is wrong.
The hand on his chest kneading his breasts stroked a finger over his nipple. Causing a shock of pleasure to shoot down to this crotch.
Something is definitely wrong.
He tries to grab at the hands but finds they are restrained above his head. He twists and turns. The grip of the hands turn harsh, as if warning him to stay still.
N-No, he tries to say but finds that no sound was able to come out.
The hands feel almost slippery. Oily and moist as they groped him. Tender where he is most sensitive and rough enough to maintain control. Link moaned, as a sopping wet finger coated his balls and cock. Lubing it up and jerking him off.
It feels…
Link yelped as a finger pressed against his hole. Oh god, he can feel the gloom coat his insides. It rubbed slightly around the rim because pushing viciously inside. The rim of his asshole surrendering to the intrusion. A moan escaped from him. The thrusting didn’t cease as it pulled in and out, slick from the Malice. Link gasped as he felt two more digits enter him. Distracted, two hands groped at his chest, flicking his nipples and pulling on them. Tentative in their motions. Link jerked away but the near searing heat on his skin wouldn’t let away. Parts of his armor have melted off leaving gaps in all necessary areas.
“S-stop! Let me go you mon-mmph!”
His eyes widened as a gloom hand thrusted three fingers down his throat. It’s too much. He gagged on the digits as the Malice fell dripped down his lips.
A few fell onto his tongue. Link winced at the taste. If he was any more coherent, it would’ve been described as death. If death even had a taste./p />
Shit. Where is he? Why can’t he see?
He screamed when another finger joined the first. Scissoring him open. The malice, hot and burning, dripped out of his hole after each thrust. Pretty soon, two fingers felt like nothing. He shifted in their hold. Willing them to remove their appendages from his body. He moaned as each thrust matched the flick of his nipples.
Link then twisted his body to the left as far as he could. Big mistake.
By turning in this direction, it allowed the fingers to push directly against his special spot.
Link screamed. The pleasure making his body jerk. His eyes rolled back, and his mouth hung open. Panting. He tried to move away again, but the fingers knew they found a weakness. No matter how much he bent his body, the fingers followed and struck the spot perfectly ever time.
Links legs tightened together as the hands loosened their hold.
His asshole squeezed the fingers and pulled them back in. Almost as if it was desperate for them.
The pressure in his stomach began to build.
No. I can’t. N-not like this.
His cock twitched. Precum leaking down his shaft and mixing with the gloom covering his dick.
Overwhelmed from the pleasure, Link wasn’t even aware that two more fingers entered him. Thrusting in and out. Filling him up with the gloom.
The fingers shoved down his throat resumed thrusting. Forcing him to swallow the darkness into his body. His nipples switched and sent jolts of pleasure down to his cock. Fueling his inevitable orgasm.
He moaned into the fingers. The force of the thrust throwing him like a ragdoll.
In the midst of Link being fucked, his eyes started to blink. The permanent darkness opened up to a near blinding light.
What…
He looks down and sees them. Using him like a whore. The gloom coating his entire body in an oil like substance. His breath hitched and widened in horror. The outline of the fingers thrust visible through his stomach.
In one timely thrust, Link’s scream was muffled by the fingers. His body spasmed and the loads of cum shot out of his dick. Landing across his chest and over his nipples. Some even landed on his tongue. The fingers retreated from his throat, leaving it raspy and sore.
He felt himself being lowered to the ground. Vision still blurry and overstimulated. He lips his lips, cum and gloom taking a permanent fixture in his mind.
He sees the shape of the hands standing over him. Watching as they appear to be waiting for something.
He moans weakly. Gloom leaking from his ass. Still hot and plentiful.
He sees out of the corner of his eye what appears to be a man. Tall, red hair, green skin.
The man reaches his hand out, and the screams of the gloom is sucked into his open palm.
He clenches his fist and turns his direction.
Link closes his eyes.
