Things only get better when he pads into the kitchen to find Dream at the breakfast table, munching on a piece of toast, and—
“Is that my phone?” Hob asks, startled.
“I tired of your battle with the fountain,” Dream replies, not looking up from where his thumb is tapping and swiping away.
Hob laughs, incredulous, and moves around to stand behind Dream’s shoulder. He bends over and presses a kiss to the top of his head, as his eyes take in the sight of Dream matching up little cartoon acorns and pears. “Thank you, dove.”
