“We need to break this bad habit of yours, pup,” Sir said, patting his thigh and calling his puppy to his feet.
Pup cocked its head, crawling over obediently and then sitting up, paws curled under its chin and its legs spread.
Bad habit?
It whined its question, and Sir chuckled, ruffling its hair and then busying himself with unwrapping the packages that sat next to him on the couch.
“Yes,” he said, his voice tilting up into that sort of half baby talk you usually reserved for a baby. Or an animal. “Yes, your naughty little habits. Come here, paws.”
