Summary
78 years after his first alleged death, and a few weeks after his second, the re-resurrected James T. Kirk has finally been reunited with his t'hy'la. While Jim's stuck under Bones' supervision to recover at Starfleet Medical, Spock chases a rumor all the way out to Deep Space Nine, where a particular item he once thought long lost has resurfaced on the black market . . . just in time for the holidays.
Spock's quest to obtain the perfect gift for his first Christmas with Jim in nearly eight decades puts him at the mercy of an opportunistic Quark, who refuses to part with the item in question until he’s fully taken advantage of the Federation’s current resurgence of James Kirk fever in order to launch a new (and rather salacious) business opportunity. Grudgingly forced to assist in the scheme, Spock finds himself subjected to an increasingly absurd series of favors up and down the Promenade in order to secure Jim's gift.
Will he return to San Francisco empty-handed on Christmas? Or is the power of true love reunited strong enough to withstand the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition, judgy exes, nosy kids, sentient holograms, Cardassian couture, and the most chaotic space station in the Alpha Quadrant?
