I love you, Nerys. I've always loved you.
For Odo, his counterpart's words changed everything—and nothing.
But what rocked his world, long after that timeline was erased, was the sight of Kira lying in her grave.

Everyone is always wondering what Garak that caused him to be almost killed and exiled when he escaped. It starts with my take on what he did along with rewriting episodes so I can add in characters and change a few things I didn't enjoy. Here's to a long fic and carpal-tunnel.

Summary
The year is 2372. The wormhole is closed, which prevented outright war with the Dominion but spawned political repercussions throughout the sector.
Elim Garak, recently promoted as Deputy Head of the Obsidian Order under Pythas Lok, begins the delicate work of unraveling damage done to intelligence agencies around the quadrant by changeling infiltrators, seven of whom remain unaccounted for (if the Vorta are to be believed).
Julian Bashir, having begun medical studies on Bajor the year prior, enters medical school on Cardassia Prime.
Starfleet struggles to control the Maquis, whose numbers have surged after hundreds of Jem'Hadar and Vorta were granted political asylum and are being housed in the demilitarized zone.
--------
I cannot say that it is entirely necessary to have read the first two installments, which are lengthy, but since this is an AU, I do recommend it because this begins right in the thick of things.

Summary
"Quark," he repeats, "if you're going to say something about my behaviour yesterday I want to remind you that was Curzon doing the talking."
Quark casts him a sharp look over his shoulder and gives him the most sarcastic shrug he's capable of. He waves another glass, as if to indicate vaguely the width and weight of Odo's sins against him.
"Last I heard you'd be fully capable of regaining control over yourself anytime," he says.
"It was different for us," Odo growls. He puts his arms over the bar. "Besides you're used to your customers throwing you about. They always seem to have one reason or another."
---
Post-Facets, Quark still acts as though his feelings are hurt by Odo and Curzon's little prank on him.

Fire screamed. Was that gas or fluid, boiling, superheating? Or the voice Fiendfyre itself, alive and sentient, calling as it fed?
Either that or The Room itself bellowed as it died. She glimpsed Harry flying toward her, above the conflagration. He could never reach her in time. They would die here, together.
Hermione could not allow that...
My AU Deathly Hallows, collides with Deep Space Nine just as “Call to Arms”, the last episode of series five, begins.

Summary
"I need hardly summarize, dear readers, the events of the subject I wish to talk about this week. You need only peek over the shoulder of someone on the tram to see the headlines. It seems there is nothing worth talking about in Dahkur Province but the case, nay, the Tragedy of Odo."
An in-universe Bajoran opinion article styled as a response to the revelations in the episode: "Things Past". Or was it even really a revelation? Journalist Tehanu Kejal doesn't think so and she's going to tell you why.
I originally wrote this piece as a contribution to "Outside In Can Live With It: 171 New Perspectives on 171 Star Trek Deep Space 9 Stories by 171 Writers" published by ATB Publishing. It is excellent and I highly recommend checking out the whole thing!
