After the death of her friend Amethyst decided to get a tattoo in memory of her. She went into the shop not expecting one of the artists there to be really freaking cute. Peridot is this tattoo artist and she found Amethyst very refreshing. The problem is the other tattoo artist working at the shop; a very jealous woman with a huge chip on her shoulder and a rough past.

Realising they did not just get pulled back in time but completely changed universes.
They soon get pulled into a world they only lived through stories and fantasies, they decide to use their knowledge of the world to make the best possible future happen where everyone is safe and happy. -

Vessel's fingers traced two small, distinct puncture wounds, his touch gentle, almost reverent. Before Ivy’s very eyes, they closed over, flesh knitting together, leaving no trace but for the slight stain of the blood on his pale skin. He lifted his head and two fangs descended from that perfect line of white teeth.
Then, it stuck him. A moment of panic, of sheer, bone-cracking terror. His breath hitched, his brain struggling to process the monster who had opened him up and fed from his blood. He felt hot tears fill his eyes, yet his body was unable to move.
Vessel’s eyes softened as he took in Ivy’s trembling lips, reddened from his own teeth. “Oh, my pet, none of that,” he murmured, gently pulling Ivy’s lip away. “Your turn is coming. And soon. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to let you out of my sight."

It's way too early, or at least it feels that way, when Sokka wakes up with a start. At first, he doesn't know why, nor where he is. And he doesn't really feel like opening his eyes and forcing himself to wake up for real and find out because, once again, way too early.
In Suki's room, in their shiny new perfect bed!
One mystery solved, he gets cozy again, ready to melt back into the mattress, while enjoying the feeling of having his partners close and then back to the land of dreams. Blindly, he reaches out to feel for them but only finds the still warm bedding. He stretches his arms and fingers more and then finally touches skin, it's Suki's by the feel of it and without consciously deciding to, he scoots over to press himself against her.
And then, two things happen at once; he realizes, that the gap was so big, because Zuko was in the middle when they fell asleep, but isn't in the bed anymore. And the door creeks.
Instantly, Sokka's eyes fly open to glare at the intruder in the doorway.
