Bend and Sway

Summary:

Sarah sprawled out further across the couch, laying her head down in her husband’s lap and kicking her feet up over Frank’s thighs. It was almost laughable to think that this was how she was spending her Friday nights now, a married mother of two teenagers, playing kids’ games with a criminal.

Sarah Lieberman recovers a part of herself she hasn't explored since her husband died. Frank Castle is turning to putty in her hands. David, her husband, is happy to go along for the ride.

Notes:

This was inspired by the Tik Tok trend where women were making their partners try to get into various sex positions to see if they could do them. Is it cheesy? Yes. But I wrote it anyways.

Work Text:

“Frank. Truth or dare?” David asked.

“Truth.”

Sarah sprawled out further across the couch, laying her head down in her husband’s lap and kicking her feet up over Frank’s thighs. It was almost laughable to think that this was how she was spending her Friday nights now, a married mother of two teenagers, playing kids’ games with a criminal. Not that she had any complaints– especially when Frank’s steady hands started massaging into the balls of her feet.

“Um… uh,” David spluttered, struggling to come up with something that hadn’t already been asked. “How ‘bout– what’s the weirdest position you’ve ever done?”

Frank’s brow wrinkled in on itself as he thought.

“I guess… when I was real young– before Maria– there was a cheerleader. She could fold up in half. Knees up to her ears, y’know?”

David snorted, setting his glass down on the side table with a clatter.

“Heh. Never pegged you as a vanilla kinda guy, Frank.”

“Vanilla? What d’you mean vanilla? That ain’t– not a lotta people can move like that y’know?”

“Sarah can.”

It was her turn to laugh, rolling her head back into her husband’s lap to look him in the eyes.

“Maybe fifteen years ago, sure. But it’s been a long time since I could do anything that flexible.”

“Really?”

“Oh, you wanna try it for yourself? Be my guest. I bet neither of you boys have thought much about the positions you’ve been making your girls get into.”

Frank made a little noise of protest, but David– who was admittedly a full beer deeper than anyone else in the room– was already squirming off the couch down to lay on the floor. With the loss of his lap as a pillow, Sarah eased herself back upright, ready to conduct the chaos. This was going to be fun.

“You wanna try, too?” She asked Frank, who was drumming his fingers across his jeans awkwardly.

“Nah, that’s… That’s…”

“Come on!” David piped up, tugging on the hem of Frank’s jeans, “Don’t be a spoil-sport.”

He still hesitated for a minute, but even his pride could fall to their combined wheedling. He sat himself down on the floor beside David, legs splayed awkwardly out in front of him. Oh, this was going to be fun.

“Let’s start simple,” Sarah conducted, “On your backs.”

They both went down easily, laying back into the carpet, but Frank still looked fidgety, so Sarah relinquished her comfortable couch seat to kneel next to him instead, rubbing her thumb in slow circles across his knee until he relaxed.

“Good. Okay. Now let’s get those legs up. See if you’re still cheerleader-flexible.”

Her husband (who was used to her little games by now) wasted no time in kicking his legs towards his chin, grabbing himself under the knees and trying to pull them closer to his shoulders. It was more difficult than he expected, and he quickly found himself bicycling his legs awkwardly in an attempt to get leverage. When that failed, he collapsed into a fit of giggles, smushing his cheek against the floor as his legs unfurled in every direction.

Frank was the opposite. There was a slightly sardonic look on his face as he settled his hips against the carpet, slowly lifting his knees up and to the sides. He managed to make it look almost graceful, even if his expression gave away how undignified he felt. Still, Sarah could tell he was holding back.

“C’mon. You can do better than that.”

Gently, and watching his face for a reaction, she placed her fingertips on the backs of his thighs. She expected him to get defensive, to call the whole thing off and go running for his coat. What she wasn’t expecting was the way he practically melted under her hands. His eyes got big and soft when she ran her palms down the underside of his thighs over his jeans, applying just enough pressure to direct his knees up towards his chest.

The sheer trust that Frank had in her unlocked something deep in Sarah’s brain– something she hadn’t had time to search for since her husband had been home. One glance at David told her that he could see it too. He smiled up at her from his sprawl. Not a lazy, drunk smile, but a sober one, one that told her he understood. She took his encouragement and ran with it, devoting all her attention back to Frank.

“Goood. Just like that. I bet you’ve got a little more in you.”

With just a bit more pressure, she got his thighs to splay out to the sides, knees drawing up towards his armpits, the muscles under her hands straining as she held him steady, letting him breathe through the stretch. With one last swell of his chest, she watched the tension leave him, and eased back slowly until his feet touched down on the floor. She only let herself preen a little bit when he smiled up at her, loose and relaxed. It felt good to know he’d released some of that pressure to her steady hands.

“Hey, Lieberman? How come your wife’s lettin’ you off so easy?”

Sarah cut in before he could answer.

“Oh, I think he’s providing plenty of entertainment on his own.”

“Hey!” He spluttered a little at that, but it quickly devolved to heavy chuckles all around.

The two men glanced at each other in solidarity, cheeks pressed to the carpet. It was sweet. But it wasn’t over for them yet.

“Let’s try another one,” she said, smacking at David’s leg to get his attention. “Hands and knees.”

Now that they had a better understanding of the game, they both scrambled to their knees. David was all too happy to turn his back on her– a choice he may live to regret– and went easily onto all fours. Even in position, he couldn’t decide whether to bow or straighten his back, resulting in a sort of awkward twerking movement that made Frank chuckle through his teeth. Unlike David’s raw enthusiasm, Frank sat back on his heels, waiting patiently for Sarah’s instruction.

She took her time, waiting for an opening, and when she saw it, she struck– reaching out to land the flat of her palm flat across the seat of David’s jeans. It wasn’t particularly brutal, but it threw him off balance just enough to knock him to his elbows instead.

“That’s better.” She ran her fingers around the outline of his back pocket, feeling him tense up to keep from squirming. “Frank. You too. Show me what you’d have your girl do for you.”

Feeling bolder now, Sarah slid her hands over Frank’s hips– twisted them into his belt loops to angle his hips as he sank down to his elbows on the carpet. He turned his face to the side, cheek to the ground, so Sarah could see his eyes pinch shut as he pressed his hips back towards her. Gently still, like she was willing him not to startle, she rubbed a hand down the back of his leg, down to the crease of his knee and back to his waist.

“Beautiful,” David said plainly, grinning out from under his mop of curls.

“Can it, Lieberman.”

Sarah chuckled at that, leaning away with one last tap to Frank’s hip.

“Well boys? What’s the verdict? Are you comfortable like that?”

“Oh definitely,” David quipped, “And extremely dignified too.”

He wriggled back upright, climbing over the arm of the couch to grab his beer bottle. Frank moved to lean against the couch by David’s legs, letting himself brush up against Sarah as he went. He made no motion to climb up onto the seat, just let his head roll back onto the cushions to follow Sarah as she stood.

She reached out to run her fingers through the short crop of his hair, missing the way it had been when they’d first met. Now that would be fun to pull on. Still, she used the cup of her palm to lead him down, cheek resting in David’s lap. Her husband caught on quick, carding his fingers through Frank’s hair where it had grown out on top. Sarah smiled to herself, walking a half-step back just to look at them.

“You boys stay right here. I’ll make some coffee.”

A chorus of “yes ma’am” followed her as she turned her back.

Still, she only made it as far as the doorway before David was calling her name.

“Sarah! Hey, Sarah. Do you still have the… the. You know–”

David made an obscene gesture from the waist and Frank– Frank made a very interesting face.

“Not anymore, no.”

As she stepped into the other room, she could still hear her husband’s low voice talking to Frank.

“That’s okay. I can get her a new one.”

“Y’know, Lieberman. That might be the first good idea you’ve had.”
