Chapter Text

The second Wilbur saw him he threw his arms around the captain. Quackity squawked in surprise and his wings flew out to their full length, but he calmed down after realizing who it was.

“Hey Wil, you doing alright?” He asked.

Wilbur scoffed. “Am I doing alright? You’re the one who almost got your face slashed off!”

Quackity laughed nervously. “Is it that bad? I can’t really see it,”

Wilbur winced and quickly backtracked, “No I just meant you scared me- You were bleeding a lot so it probably looked worse than it is!” He waved his hands like that would secure his point.

Quackity just sighed. “Well I’m here, didn’t you want to see Earth again?”

Wilbur’s brain short circuited for a moment. He waited for his thoughts to load before he nodded slowly, “Yeah. We’re on earth, we’re actually here,”

Quackity carefully grabbed his hand and led him out into the living space. They were immediately surrounded by the rest of the crew wondering if they were okay, but Quackity ignored them and pulled Wilbur towards their current working exit; the gap between the broken parts of the ship.

The others shared a look before silently following behind their captain and the human.

Wilbur squinted as they walked out into the harsh light, but once his eyes adjusted he gasped in awe.

Quackity watched Wilbur look out in shock. He himself wasn’t paying attention to the planet he was now on, he was more focused on his friend's expression. But seeing Wilbur smile and tear up he finally found it in him to look away.

Quackity gasped as he looked out at the massive lake in front of him. It reflected the color of earth’s blue sky, small birds swimming around in the liquid. What Quackity assumed was a fish jumped out of the water and scared off the animals, making them fly off across the trees.

They had crashed right on the edge of a forest, thick green trees with leaves that looked like needles towering up in the sky behind them. It mostly hid their broken ship, which would help in the case of any other humans showing up. Beyond the lake though was miles off rolling plains, and Quackity swore he could make out a tiny outline of a town in the distance.

Quackity leaned against Wilbur, and was glad they crashed where they did, because with the state of their ship and the lack of supplies to fix it, they wouldn’t be leaving earth any time soon.

Notes:

Feel like this ending could have been better.

In other news I definetely want to make a sequel to this where Wilbur and the gang get into earth shenanigans
