nearly two years have passed, and i finally finished this fic that appeared out of the blue from my guili and laufey obsession in early 2024.
i've been drowned it joy while writing this, and there were days where simply opening the file was such a hard task for me. i've left this fic for too long and came back with quite the sorry of an excuse final chapter + epilogue, so i'll be ranting a bit here.
- quick update: i finally cut off my toxic friend that i mentioned but later on my friend group split up in the middle of doing a huge project so 🧍♂️ not so great
- I GOT VENTI and i built him as a dps cu of the buff :p
- this fic could've probably been finished over half a year ago if i was actually consistent LMAO from this year alone i've taken maybe a total of 8 month break from writing goddess #procrastinator ✌
- i've been watching a c-drama called "the best thing" and the thing that zhongli did in the final chapter (pressing on his sternum) is inspired by that! in tcm (traditional chinese medicine), the point in the middle of your sternum and on the same level as your nipples is called the shanzong point. pressing/massaging the shanzong point can help relieve stress, anxiety, and breathing problems that may occur when someone is overthinking/under heavy pressure
- around 1/4 of the beginning of the final chapter was written within 3 months. the rest and the epilogue was crammed in a single day. IM ON THAT HOLIDAY GRIND 😛
while making the last chapter, i started reading back on my work and it was then when i realized; the beginning was HORRENDOUS. there was so many things i wanted to fix but, fixing those things might escalate to fixing..... the entire fic, which at this point, i really dont have the energy to do. but seeing my horrible writing was somewhat heartwarming. i've developed. not by a long shot, but seeing that i've improved in something *is* something, isn't it? i can only hope my writing skills will get better over time and start sounding serious lol
all in all, thank you to every one of you who have read, gave kudos, and commented on my work. especially commenters, i love you guys SO MUCH. even asking for fic updates makes me happy enough to start progressing the story. thank you for all the appreciation and enthusiasm you have shown me. love y'all and have a great day/night! <3
