Summary
Delilah Morgan is a forensic pathologist working for the DPGC, beginning the autopsy of the latest victim of the serial killer known as the Reaper, the man who has been terrorizing Gotham city, when she is attacked by him.
It was that night that she encountered true fear ── death itself and its faithful companion ── and survived to tell the tale. Now, she recognized the rot of humanity, as broken as she was, and in a way, identified with it. There was a rooted evil there, rooted in her, something that cried out for justice and needed freedom as much as their corrupted souls could bear, yet something blocked her mind.
In the quest to uncover the true identity of the Reaper and put an end to the series of extended murders, Morgan finds an unlikely ally in billionaire Bruce Wayne. Both are obsessed with the case, both are willing to do anything to reach the end of the investigation, and both would risk everything they had for it.
And that's what brought them together.
