Me and Five have been having non-stop sex. It might be the newfound hormones that are soaring through our bodies. We are both constantly horny. When Five isn’t working in the perfect equation to get us out of here, he tries everything to get in my pants.
Tonight is supposed to be Valentine's Day. I expect Five to want to work all day, like always. I walked out of the bedroom to find him and Delores talking.
“What’s going on?” I ask.
“Delores wanted to come on your trip today. Right, Delores?” He looks at her.
Oh, yeah! I did say that. Can I come?
“Sure. let me just grab the wagon.” I grab the wagon and Delores and go. Five kissed me goodbye before we left. “So what was that about?” I ask.
Nothing.
“Really? You both were acting strange.”
Ooo, that place looks like it has a lot of good food. She changes the subject.
I look and see what looks like an abandoned grocery store. I hadn’t been in a grocery store in 5 years when me and Five had that fight.
Me and Delores made our way to the grocery store. About an hour later, we finished taking all of the edible food. I packed it all onto the wagon.
“Are you ready to go, Delores?”
First, how long have we been here?
“I don’t know, an hour?”
We should go the long way back to the shelter.
“Why?”
I don’t want to go back to back just yet.
“But I don’t understand why?”
Fine. Let’s just go back.
I'm so confused. Why wouldn’t she want to go back? Is it me? Is it Five? Is it how horny me and Five have been these last few weeks?
I was about to open the door to the shelter when Delores stopped me.
Wait! We should practice screaming.
“Why?”
For when there is finally an opportunity to get out of here.
“I guess that makes sense.” I start screaming.
Ok, ok. That’s enough. Let’s go inside.
“You are so weird.” I pick her up and make my way into the shelter. Once I enter, I look up to see Five standing behind the table. The table was set nicely with candles, wine, and plates full of the good stuff, or canned foods.
“What’s all this?” A smile makes my face.
“I thought I would do something nice for you.” I look at Delores.
“Wait did you know? Is that why you tried to get me to go the long way back?” She nods. “You little sneak!” I hugged her. She laughs.
Please put me in my room so I don’t have to hear you guys having sex all night. Please and thank you. I roll my eyes and do what she says. I then make my way to Five. I peck him on the lips before saying “Thank you.”
“Come on, let’s eat.” He pulls my chair out for me. I sat down. We spent the entire evening talking and joking around.
We were cleaning the table and talking when I had this feeling to say something. I'm a little drunk from all the wine I drank and when I'm drunk I say whatever I'm thinking.
“Hey, Five?” He looks at me. I was sitting on the table. “Can I say something crazy?”
“Sure.” He walks over and stands between my legs. He runs his hands over my legs as he waits for my answer.
“I think I love you.”
“What?”
“I think I love you.” I start giggling. “Oh my god! I love you!” I put my hands on his cheeks.
“Lexi?”
“You don’t love me back do you?” I start to cry.
“No, no, no. I didn’t say that.”
“But you want to.”
“No! It’s just…I don’t believe that you love me.”
“What?”
“Well, you are drunk and we are the only 2 people alive. You don’t love me. You love that I'm your only option.”
“That’s not true! And I'm not that drunk! I do love you Five. You can’t accept that someone could ever love you. Your father screwed you up so badly that the thought of someone loving you is impossible in that head of yours.”
“What if we are both right? And it’s not like I say that much since I have fallen in love with you too.”
“You have?” He nods. I smile and kiss him.
“I love you, Lexi.”
“I love you too, Five.” We kiss.
We did in fact end up making love all night long.
