To Aymeric, she was an enigma. As a man who could swiftly differentiate between deeds, words, and beliefs, she was meek and held no ulterior motives toward him. Yet all the same, she was unpredictable and capricious.
To Shira, he was unattainable. To desire to be more than his friend would no doubt invite scorn from reactionaries. For him to safely usher in a new era for Ishgard, she knew she could not stand by his side.
