The planning goes smoothly for the most part, with Jeongin coming out of his shell a little more when it comes to bullying your mutual friend. It turns out your Hagwon are not too far from each other, so you make plans to meet up a few times in the three weeks until the charity to get to know each other. Mijeong is obviously going to be there and Seojun is playing buffer, but the others might just tag along once or twice, just to put names to faces.
You try to suss out why Seojun is so insistent on Jeongin going, but he just makes a lot of noise without actually saying anything. Typical. It doesn't really make that much of a difference to you. If he goes, you have another potential friend there or at the very least a guest your parents can't make you leave alone for too long. If he doesn't, you have to make small talk with a bunch of people who don't care about your opinion or get saddled with your mother's matchmaking attempts.
One of the non-negotiable outings is a suit fitting -- the event is inside the Mipo Oceanside Hotel, which means fancy dress -- and Jeongin nearly bowed out again. You manage to talk Seojun out of buying him a suit outright, so he's going to borrow an old one from your older brother who just returned from the military a month ago and is happy enough to taxi a couple of 14-year-olds around.
(He doesn't trust that Seojun won't just buy one anyway and claim it to be one of his, which you don't blame him for. That guy has too much money and time on his hands.)
It doesn't hurt to know how to use the numerous cutlery during a full course dinner and the chance of that happening isn't high with it being a Korean restaurant rather than a western one, but it is there. The charity isn't that big, all things considered, but your dad thinks the people that are holding it this time are the type that like to pretend importance. The guests are mostly people that you've "known" since you were in diapers and smaller business people that are looking for connections and will write off your entire presence. But for someone that has never been, it might be too much pressure, even if it was just to eat food, so you're doing a full course meal to simulate a similar, if different, atmosphere as the charity.
At that point, Jeongin was annoyed enough with Seojun to eat him out of house and home, so getting him to agree to more free, high grade food was easy.
