Work Text:
Mingyu would like to say that he currently has things under control, but that would be a lie. And while Kim Mingyu is many things (overworked, stressed, and deeply in love with his boyfriend), he is not a liar.
The thing is that his issues don't necessarily have anything to do with being overworked or stressed. School, for the most part, is going fine. So are all of his projects and various freelance jobs around Seoul. No one was lying when they warned him that the industry was cutthroat, but he never expected to end up as a fucking PA. Though that’s a whole other issue.
No, Mingyu's current problem is his boyfriend. And he’s not sure what to do about it.
Wonwoo is a senior, now, and he’s knee-deep in work and final-year projects. He’s juggling editing for other people’s thesis films on top of editing his own thesis film, and the amount of hours he’s been staying in the studio outside of class is frankly starting to get worrying. Working hard is one thing, as being overworked as a senior in University is only inevitable, but Wonwoo had some kind of end-of-uni crisis over the summer and has since been convinced that he’ll be a failure if he doesn’t do as much work as he possibly can.
(“Portfolio pieces, Min!” He insists.)
It’s gotten to the point where Mingyu has started telling people in their major that he’ll work as a PA for free as long as they don’t ask his boyfriend to edit their films. And now Mingyu has a long, long list of people wanting him on set come winter.
Which, like, is worth it, as long as it means Wonwoo isn’t working himself into the grave. But Mingyu has a feeling that his boyfriend will find a way to do that anyways.
For example:
Mingyu is coming out of his experimental media class when he gets a text from Hansol. Which isn't unusual in itself, except for the fact that it reads:
Haha hey I just went into the color lab and Wonwoo was in there. Which is fine but he was also in there when I left at 3 AM last night. Do you think he slept or….
Not that I need the room but I’m wondering if I should check on him or not because he seems kind of in the zone and like the film sunbaes are all asking me if it’s okay to bother him but honestly I’m not sure…
So. Herein lies the problem.
This week alone, Wonwoo has clocked 30 hours in the fucking color lab, staring at three Davinci Resolve monitors and not eating. Mingyu knows this because he’s the one bringing Wonwoo food at 2 AM, when Wonwoo texts to ask if he’s awake and if there’s any way he could bring over some ramyeon. Which Mingyu does every single time, because if he’s not already awake from working on his projects, he’s pacing the length of his bedroom over his anxiety about if his boyfriend is eating or not. And he usually isn’t.
Mingyu comes to a stop in the middle of the hallway. Reads the texts again, rubs at his temple. Groans to himself.
Sends to Hansol: I’ll check on him. Thanks.
Something needs to be done about this.
Because it’s normal for seniors to be clocking in all nighters, sure, but it’s not normal for Wonwoo to be doing it. Wonwoo, with his peculiar eating schedule and fussy sleep times and the fact that he, very often, makes Mingyu go to bed with him at 11 PM sharp when they sleep over at each other’s apartments. Which is fine, because Mingyu wants nothing more in the world than to appease the love of his life, but it confuses him why Wonwoo is so willing to eat like shit and barely sleep all for the sake of goddamn portfolio pieces.
It’s gotten to the point where he gets texts like this daily. Not just from Hansol, but from everyone in their department. Sunbaes saying hey Mingyu, is Wonwoo okay? and classmates coming up to him with can you ask your boyfriend if I borrow the post lab, because he’s been holed up in for days and I’m too scared to approach him and even an advisor, once, pulling Mingyu from his studio to ask if Wonwoo was eating or sleeping.
How the hell she knew about him and Wonwoo’s relationship is beyond him. But this can’t keep going on.
Mingyu has a relatively free afternoon, so he postpones the stack of film papers he’s supposed to read for homework and books it over to the goddamn color lab. Grabs a coffee for himself and a sandwich for Wonwoo on the way. The post-production studio is usually deserted at this time of day, so he doesn’t even knock at the door, just pops in. And then heads to the back room, where he already knows his boyfriend is sitting in the dark, muttering to himself about secondary corrections and control points.
Sure enough, Wonwoo is sitting at the single desk in the room, parked right in front of the three monitors. Headphones on and his hair going in every which direction. The fact that the dark room is only illuminated by the monitors and a single white strip of lights on the wall certainly doesn’t help things.
How he’s even able to differentiate colors after working for so goddamn long, Mingyu has no idea. If you stare at a project for too long, you’ll get lost in white balances and gain controls, because after enough time, your eyes just naturally adjust to the colors you’re seeing, and then you won’t be able to see the image as accurately. Even a post-production powerhouse like Jeon Wonwoo isn’t immune to things like science.
Mingyu sighs, and knocks on the frame of the door and says as sternly as he can: “hyung.”
Wonwoo, to his credit, jumps in his seat. Mingyu feels a little bad for scaring him when Wonwoo turns around and looks at him with wide eyes, taking his headphones off, sheepish expression on his face.
“Oh, Mingyu-ah,” Wonwoo croaks. Takes off his glasses, rubs at his eyes. “You’re here. Are you done class?”
Mingyu suppresses the overwhelming desire to start nagging. Just walks over to his boyfriend and sets the sandwich down in front of him. Calmly pulls up an extra chair. “Just finished,” he says. He’s trying to keep his voice as even-toned as he can. “Hansol said you’ve been here since last night so I came to check on you.”
Wonwoo avoids his eyes. He knows how Mingyu feels about his new routine, and they’ve gotten into petty squabbles about it more times than he can count. “I’m just trying to finish this one project so I can send it off,” he says, looking blankly off at the monitors. “And then I have to do Kihyun’s film, and then Miyoung’s…”
Mingyu sighs. Frustrated. Wonwoo hangs his head and it makes him feel bad, but there’s no actual way to put this many hours into work on top of being a full time student without killing yourself in the process.
“You can’t work on color for more than a few hours at a time, hyung, you know that,” Mingyu tells him. The exhaustion bleeds into his voice and he doesn’t know how to stop it. He reaches over to click through Wonwoo’s resolve timeline. “Look, these edits aren’t even consistent. You can’t know what you’re doing if you don’t sleep.”
It’s a little harsh, and he knows it. Because Wonwoo is the most dependable post-production worker on their entire campus - he’s everyone’s go-to in the department when it comes to all and any things editing - and he takes immense pride in his work. And for a good reason: he’s fast and he’s good at what he does. But he can’t even send these corrections off if they’re all over the place, so what’s the point?
Wonwoo looks away. Pokes at the sandwich.
“Did you even sleep last night?” Mingyu tries not to sound accusatory. As stubborn and bull-headed as his boyfriend is, he’s more skittish when he’s sensitive. There are times when instead of meeting Mingyu jab for jab as he normally would, Wonwoo tries to shrink away and pretend like nothing’s wrong. “Or even just a nap?”
Wonwoo bites at his lip. “I have an answer,” he says. “But I have a feeling that you’re not gonna like it.”
Mingyu inhales, exhales. Tries not to explode. Wonwoo is as stubborn as they come, and pretty fucking obsessive when he wants to be, despite the usual passiveness he exudes. And even though Wonwoo is pretty much a I’ll do it my way or not at all type of person, he usually listens to Mingyu when Mingyu is being reasonable. Which, okay, isn’t all of the time. Mingyu can admit that sometimes he’s not the most mentally sound guy Wonwoo could be dating. But he usually listens when it matters.
Like when he’s sick, and Mingyu is in charge of spoon-feeding him kimchi jjigae. Or when he needs feedback on a rough cut and Mingyu has a few ideas that Wonwoo may or may not want to hear. Or when he’s tearing his hair out, trying to get some money together so he can submit to festivals, and Mingyu has to massage the tenseness out of his shoulders.
Wonwoo’s normally willing to compromise, at least. But he’s being completely and unreasonably hard on himself for these projects, clocking in more hours working in Premiere than he is sleeping, and Mingyu has no idea why.
“Hyung,” Mingyu says. Tries to be so, so gentle as he says it. “You’re not sleeping unless I make you. You’re not eating unless I bring you food. You’re not taking care of yourself even a little bit, and it’s making things difficult for me because I’m worrying about you all the time.” Wonwoo, at least, looks guilty. Eyes downcast. It’s hard to not just cave and say hyung, I’m sorry, I’m not mad at you, but he can’t, because then his boyfriend will just keep working himself to death. The bright lights of the monitor only emphasize his eyebags more, and it’s driving Mingyu fucking crazy, because he feels like he’s watching the person he loves the most in this world deteriorate right in front of his very eyes.
Mingyu takes a deep, deep breath. Counts to ten in his head for he speaks next.
“You know I love you, and you know how much I love how passionate you are, but these are student films, hyung,” Mingyu reminds him. “We’re not submitting to Cannes. This is Daesung’s film about flesh-eating zombies, and it’s kind of bad.” Wonwoo’s lips twitch into the ghost of a smile. “I’m proud of you for working as hard as you do, but none of it is worth it if you end up killing yourself over a film that won’t even make a festival circuit.”
That, at least, gets Wonwoo to close his eyes and digest what he’s saying. Wonwoo sighs. He takes off his glasses and sets them down on the desk, and then leans to the side to bury his face into Mingyu’s shoulder.
“I know,” he says, voice muffled. “Some of these are really, really bad. They’re not even worth the portfolio.”
Mingyu reaches an arm out to stroke his hair. “You’re already overqualified for every position you apply to, hyung. You don’t need to do more work.”
He can just about feel Wonwoo pout against him. The only thing his boyfriend hates more than being wrong is when Mingyu is right. And it’s only because Mingyu respects Wonwoo as both his significant other and his sunbae that he doesn’t say a bratty I told you so. That, and because Wonwoo would probably kick him in the dick if he even dared.
Feisty, that one. Between the cute aggression and the occasional anger issues, Mingyu has a lot of Jeon Wonwoo-isms to be worried about.
“I know,” Wonwoo grumbles. Okay, definitely pouting. “But it just feels like graduation is coming up so fast, and it’s so fucking hard to find jobs, and I don’t know what to do other than work.” He groans, digging his face into Mingyu’s hoodie. Well, actually it’s Wonwoo’s hoodie, but whatever. “I feel like I’m going insane, Min, I can’t tell you how many internships I’ve applied to this week.”
Mingyu makes a soft noise of understanding. Because despite how much he likes to whine and moan about their program and all the projects he has to do, Mingyu doesn’t know a single person in their major who works harder than Wonwoo does. Especially not someone who’s also so good at what they do.
It makes his heart hurt to see his boyfriend waste away all because of this stupid industry, though both of them were well aware of what they were getting into when they decided to go into film in the first place. Mingyu smooths his hand down Wonwoo’s back.
“I’m sorry, hyung,” he says. “I know you’re really stressed. But it’s also really hard to see you work yourself to death over these projects. It’s hard to sleep, knowing that you’re in here not sleeping. And I’m getting all these messages from everyone, asking if you’re alive or if you passed away in the studio…”
It’d be a lie to say that he isn’t upset right now, still, but Mingyu keeps his tone as gentle as he can manage. “Hyung, it’s not the end of the world if you turn down some projects. You’re the best we have, people are gonna offer things to you no matter what.”
Wonwoo picks his head up and stares up at Mingyu. Eyes a little watery. It’s alarming, because Jeon Wonwoo is not a crier (he didn’t even cry during Everything, Everywhere, All at Once like a heartless bitch), so it’s only just occurring to Mingyu how much his boyfriend has been stressing himself out. To the point where he’s grinding all nighters every night, tearing up at Mingyu’s words, and letting Monster Energy drinks pile up on the desk. The pile that Mingyu is only just now noticing, and even though it doesn’t surprise him even a little bit, his left eye twitches at the sight.
“Mingyu,” Wonwoo says. He looks like a cat that’s been abandoned on the side of the road with those big eyes and no glasses. His voice is dripping with sweetness. “You are way too good for me, and I love you dearly.”
Mingyu blinks at him. His boyfriend may be prone to affection, on occasion, but usually he saves the love confessions for either post-coitus cuddling or special occasions.
“Are you okay?” Is what Mingyu says. For some reason. “Did you get cloned while I was asleep? Is everything alright in there?”
Wonwoo laughs as Mingyu raps his knuckles on his temple. It’s nice to see him smile. He’s fucking beautiful. “I just realized how lucky I am, is all,” Wonwoo says. “I won’t bother you with my insanity anymore. I really appreciate everything you do for me.”
Mingyu breaks into a wide, wide grin. “Aw, babe,” he says, pulling Wonwoo in for a hug, not really caring if he wants one or not. “Of course I’m gonna take care of you, you’re my little old man.”
Almost immediately, like a switch has been flipped, Wonwoo’s voice goes stern: “Oi-”
“I’m just helpless against a gorgeous man needing my help, you know I’d drop anything for you,” Mingyu laughs, ignoring Wonwoo’s very verbal complaints about his earlier comment. “Through health and sickness and all.”
Wonwoo huffs. “We’re not married.”
Mingyu smacks a kiss on his cheek. “I’m just waiting for you to propose, hyung.”
That makes Wonwoo chuckle, at least. Deep and low and wonderful. Mingyu squishes his boyfriend against his chest and takes in all the affection he can get, because even if Wonwoo develops healthier work habits, he’s still gonna be spending most nights grinding in the studio regardless. Mingyu misses having his handsome boyfriend in his arms every night.
“I’ll try for you, Min-ah,” Wonwoo says when he finally pulls away. Laces their fingers together. “I’ll try, I promise.”
Mingyu grins. “I’m holding you to that, Jeon Wonwoo-ssi.”
Wonwoo rolls his eyes, but a promise is a promise.
-
A few days later, Mingyu wakes up to another text from Hansol: I think your boyfriend has been here for at least 12 hours. Is he alive?
Mingyu turns his phone off and groans into his pillow. So much for trying.
Despite their heart-to-heart in the color lab, Wonwoo keeps up his insane work schedule - the only difference is that now he has stopped asking Mingyu for food entirely, and Mingyu doubts that he’s even eating at all. Mingyu tries to keep his boyfriend fed, but Wonwoo just shoos him out of the studio every time.
Stubborn. Bull-headed. Liar. He promised and everything!
Mingyu lets this go on for a week before he concots a new plan.
After over a year of dating, him and Wonwoo have a pretty solid system of keeping up with promises. If one of them breaks a promise, they get punished. In a sexual way. It’s simple and it’s fun and it’s usually over something insignificant or nothing that means anything in the long run, like Mingyu forgetting to pick up a new thing of lube from the store or Wonwoo taking too long to respond to a text. Anything more serious than that results in an adult conversation from boyfriend to boyfriend, and the only time that’s ever had to happen is when Wonwoo forgot about their six month anniversary dinner.
(Okay, yes, maybe there were punishments involved with that too - the sexual kind - but not until the matter was resolved in a mature way, thank you very much.)
Punishments normally lie in Wonwoo’s hands, since he usually takes on the dominant role in the bedroom, but Mingyu is plenty capable of enacting a punishment himself. He sits on the idea for a few days, just because he wonders if maybe this is a more serious issue he should try to resolve like an adult.
But then he thinks about how already did that, and Wonwoo is still hiding out in the post studio anyways, and Mingyu figures that fucking it out of him instead is actually a very adult thing to do.
It takes a while for him to get into the headspace, to get out of the mindset of being Wonwoo’s little puppy and into Wonwoo’s outrageously buff boyfriend, but all he needs is a few days of planning (would Wonwoo prefer spanking? Sensory deprivation? Something else?) and pleading with the whole department to not use the studio on a Friday night (not a hard ask, apparently everyone was all too eager to get on Mingyu’s good side) and asking the head of post if the lab is soundproof or not (it is).
So Mingyu lures his boyfriend into a false sense of security, leaves him alone for exactly 48 hours, and strikes when he’s least expecting it.
“Hyungie!” Mingyu announces his way into the color lab where Wonwoo is, once again, staring blankly at three monitors and jumping at the sound of Mingyu’s voice. Wonwoo stares at him, as Mingyu sets down a bag of fried chicken on the desk. Purses his lips.
“I told you I can feed myself,” Wonwoo says, though he shows his gratitude by saving his project on Resolve and turning the middle HDR monitor off. He’s looking at Mingyu with wide eyes. Hungry eyes.
(For the chicken. Though Mingyu is fairly certain he can make him hungry in other ways.)
“Sorry, maybe I just missed you,” Mingyu says. As a way to ease into things, he tries to keep a stern edge to his voice. Wonwoo probably thinks everything is fine, and it’s not, but Mingyu doesn’t want to just spring things on him. He scoots the chicken bag away from Wonwoo’s grubby little editor hands and says: “Talk first, chicken later.”
Wonwoo makes a face. The very subtle kind of pout that he doesn’t do around anyone except for Mingyu, because he knows that it sends Mingyu crumbling. Mingyu pointedly ignores him.
“Chicken while talking?” Is Wonwoo’s idea of a compromise. Too bad Mingyu isn’t compromising today.
“No,” Mingyu says. Doesn’t pull a chair up, just stands there with his arms crossed. He knows his biceps look bigger, more intimidating this way - he forfeited his usual hoodie for a tighter t-shirt this evening, just for the occasion. “Chicken is for good hyungs, and you’ve been a bad hyung.”
Wonwoo blinks up at him. Eyes widening just the tiniest bit at the familiar tone of Mingyu’s voice.
An almost sinister, dark, deep curl of satisfaction settles into Mingyu’s stomach. Wonwoo is exhausted, a little dazed, but he’s giving Mingyu his full attention. Fingers playing with his hoodie sleeve as he looks Mingyu right in the eyes.
“Oh,” is what Wonwoo says. “You need me to be a good hyung?”
He’s tired, but he’s looking at Mingyu with rapt attention. Probably calculating, mind racing, as it tends to do when Mingyu takes the lead. A Wonwoo who isn’t in control is a careful Wonwoo. But there’s something in his eyes that makes it clear that he’s well aware of where this is going.
Mingyu never makes it hard to put the pieces together. Their scenes, agreed upon prior or not, are never meant to be confusing. Mingyu leans down, puts both hands on either armrest of Wonwoo’s desk chair, and cages him in.
“You know,” Mingyu says very, very slowly. Voice as smooth as molasses. “When hyungs are bad, they ought to get punished.”
He knows how he sounds when he says things like that. Dark, commanding. Unfortunately for him, Jeon Wonwoo is no easy target. He doesn’t back down like most people would. Wonwoo puts his hands on Mingyu’s wrists and squeezes. Smiles that evil little smirk, like he knows something that no one else does.
“What are you gonna do, puppy?” He asks. “Spank me? Call me a bad boy?”
He grins as Mingyu exhales very slowly. You can always count on Wonwoo to be damn-near total exhaustion and yet still rise up to any challenge Mingyu throws his way. Not that he was expecting Wonwoo to be easy today - not even a little bit - but he thought that maybe he’d be a little less determined to bite right back.
Mingyu knows what Wonwoo’s words mean: either put me in my place or I’ll take yours.
Mingyu smiles.
“Well, since my precious little hyungie has been neglecting me, we’re gonna play a game,” Mingyu says. Leans down more to say it low at his ear. “I thought long and hard about what I’m gonna do to you, and all I want is for you to cockwarm me til you’re done work for the day. And if you come before I do, you’re coming home with me and it’s over. Deal?”
It was the best thing he could think of: Wonwoo is easily overstimulated, Mingyu has no problems with sitting a pretty boy down on his cock, and it’s something his boyfriend would be easily agreeable to. Sure enough, Wonwoo blinks at him, and then his eyes are darkening.
Mingyu has hooked him in, and it was the easiest thing in the world.
“That’s it?” He asks, faux innocence dripping from his voice. Wonwoo grins that stupid, cock-sure smile of his. “That’s all you have planned for me?”
Mingyu has to hold back his own smile. Of course his silly, horny boyfriend wouldn’t be able to say no to a challenge, even if it means cutting tonight’s editing session short. Wonwoo probably thinks that he’ll simply be able to work until 4 AM with Mingyu snug inside him.
(Not that Mingyu would oppose the idea of getting to be warmed all night by his favorite person in the world, but he’s pretty sure his dick would fall off if they did it for that long.)
“That’s all, hyung,” Mingyu says, keeping his voice low and even-toned. “If you make me come before you, I’ll even be nice and leave you alone for the night.”
As if Wonwoo wasn’t hooked already, his eyes light up in excitement. It’s kind of scary. Mostly because Mingyu knows what he’s capable of, knows all of Wonwoo’s tricks and stupid little phrases that can make him come before he’s even realized. Part of planning for this whole thing was spending the past few days jerking off like a madman to every possible thing Wonwoo could throw at him - everything he could say, everything he could do. Mingyu highly doubts that his preventative measures will actually be effective, but he’s banking on either (1) getting Wonwoo so fucked out that he gives up on editing anyway or (2) making it through this whole thing on spite alone.
Either way, he’s bringing Wonwoo home with him tonight. He’s sure of it.
“Let’s do it, then,” Wonwoo says. Stands up, pulls Mingyu to sit down at the desk chair. Sits down on Mingyu’s lap. Wonwoo straddles him, grinning, hangs his arms over Mingyu’s shoulders. “You’re so easy, Mingyu-yah. This is hardly a punishment.”
Mingyu smiles back at him. As sweet as he knows how. “You think so? Do your worst, hyung.”
And just like that, the game’s on.
Mingyu is distinctly aware that he’s already got a half-chub from sheer proximity and the way Wonwoo is looking at him, but then Wonwoo is grinding down on him.
“Could make you come like this,” Wonwoo says vaguely, contemplative. “You’re so easy for it.”
Mingyu pretends like he didn’t hear him. Mostly because it’s true. “Pretty sure I told you to sit on my cock, hyung.”
Wonwoo stops. Frowns. In the dramatic, over exaggerated way he rarely does, just because he knows it’ll piss Mingyu off. “A little frottage never hurt anyone. Where are you hiding the lube?”
Mingyu keeps his face stoic. Digs through the chicken bag, pulls out their usual bottle.
Forgetting their scene, Wonwoo makes a face, scandalized. “Kim Mingyu,” he says, almost offended. “I was looking forward to eating that.”
Mingyu loses it and grins. Hauls Wonwoo closer by the hips and says: “far from the grossest thing you’ve eaten. I’ve seen you eat my cum out of your hole, babe.”
Wonwoo frowns at him. Snatches the lube bottle. But ultimately, does not disagree.
After that, they get back into things. Wonwoo turns around on his lap, Mingyu’s chest to his back. Discards his sweatpants and boxers under the desk and is left in his socks and hoodie. Mingyu plays with his half-hard cock while Wonwoo spreads his thighs and sinks one finger into himself.
“You didn’t wanna open me up?” Wonwoo asks. Letting out the tiniest, breathiest sigh. “So you can make sure I can fit you inside?”
Mingyu runs his hands up and down Wonwoo’s sides. Just feeling skin. Knows that Wonwoo likes the way Mingyu’s hands dwarf his waist.
“I’ll make it fit,” Mingyu says right in his ear. “I know how well you take me, hyung, I already know that you’ll open right up for me.”
Wonwoo, as quietly as he can, groans. As infallible as he appears, the way to get him to cave is simple: flaunt the size difference that really isn’t as big as Wonwoo insists it is. Surround Wonwoo with himself, make him suffocate on Mingyu’s presence. Use the dirtiest, filthiest words he’s capable of. If he’s not going to be Wonwoo’s dumb little puppy, he better be the meanest he can be. That's how Wonwoo likes it.
Mingyu’s hands tighten on his waist as Wonwoo squeezes another finger in. Says, “look at you, so easy for it. You missed this, right, hyungie? You missed something inside you?” He reaches a hand down and presses on Wonwoo’s perineum, delighting in the way he gasps. Wonwoo can be a brat all he wants, but his body is so, so easy to play with. “You’ve been so cooped up in your little studio, you’ve forgotten what it’s like to be full. ‘M gonna fill you so good.”
“Mingyu,” Wonwoo says. Voice wobbling the teeniest, tiniest bit. Mingyu presses down harder. “Mingyu, stop being a jerk, you’re not even in me yet-”
“I thought you could take it, though,” Mingyu says, smiling despite himself. He backs off. Technically the punishment hasn’t even started yet, but he’ll take any opportunity he can to get Wonwoo whining for it, crumbling his defiance down to nothing. Wonwoo always makes him work for it, but Mingyu has no real complaints about that. It’s a unique kind of satisfaction, to break his boyfriend down to nothing and then put him right back together.
“Just wanna get your pathetic cock in me so I can get back to work,” Wonwoo says, voice edging on a whine as he puts a third finger in. That’s rich, coming from him, ‘cause Mingyu’s pretty sure his favorite thing to say during sex is look at you, puppy, fucking your hyung with your big cock, so deep inside me. But whatever.
He’ll get him begging soon enough.
“Funny, cause last time I checked, you loved my pathetic cock,” Mingyu says. He scoots Wonwoo forward so he can wrestle with his zipper and get his straining dick out. “Look at it, hard for you, baby. Don’t you want it inside?”
“No,” Wonwoo says, even as he’s pulling his fingers out and lining Mingyu up with his hole.
“No?” Mingyu asks sweetly, giving Wonwoo the briefest second to breathe, before he’s slamming him down as hard as he can.
“AH- no!” Wonwoo cries out, like noise had been pulled out of him. “No- I- fuck.” He’s panting, fingers digging into Mingyu’s thighs as Mingyu grinds up into him and spreads him wider. “Fuck you.”
“I am, honey,” Mingyu grunts. Wonwoo is so fucking tight and warm inside, it feels like fucking heaven. “I know you can feel me fucking you.”
“Mingyu,” Wonwoo says. It’s almost a moan, almost a groan. He’s not desperate, yet, but when his voice starts having that whiny quality to it, Mingyu knows it won’t take too long. No matter how much of a fight he puts up, Wonwoo is sometimes just so easy. “You’re such an asshole, I hate you.”
Mingyu just huffs out a laugh. He feels a little desperate himself, from how good Wonwoo feels around him. God, he’s so tight, and Mingyu just wants to fucking pound into him.
“Well, I love you, hyungie,” Mingyu coos. “Love you and this nice, tight hole. You’re taking me in so well.”
He’s teasing, really. But Wonwoo lets out a low noise in his throat and it takes everything in Mingyu to not say fuck it to this whole thing and take him against the desk, make him scream for it. But they have an agreement, and even though Wonwoo is clenched so sweetly around him, Mingyu reaches over to turn the HDR monitor back on.
Wonwoo makes a noise of complaint as he’s jostled around. Has clearly forgotten the stipulations of their agreement. Mingyu pats firmly down on Wonwoo’s thighs.
“Back to work, hyung,” he says. Rocks up into him just once, pulling Wonwoo’s hips down as hard as he can manage, then goes still as Wonwoo whines. “Project isn’t gonna finish itself.”
Wonwoo sends him a glare over his shoulder, but the angle is so awkward, he looks more like an angry kitten than anything else. Mingyu feels lucky knowing that Wonwoo can’t complain, at least, not when he’s already agreed and he’s spent the past week putting these dumb films above everything else - including his own boyfriend. And even in a fucked-out state, Wonwoo isn’t going to give Mingyu any excuse to say I told you so.
Especially when he’s fucked out. Wonwoo could have gone through the best orgasm of his life and still have a single-minded focus on proving Mingyu wrong.
Mingyu watches, privately amused, as Wonwoo’s grip on him tightens and he lets out a little exhale. Huffing out, annoyed. But there’s the dazed quality to him, as his hands slowly move back towards the control panel, which lets Mingyu know that very slowly, but surely, his boyfriend is getting there.
If Mingyu plays this well, he’ll have Wonwoo crying for him in no time.
Wonwoo clenches around him and goes back to what he was working on before they started this whole thing. Some stupid dream sequence, from the looks of it. High exposure and cool-toned. Mingyu keeps his touch light and sparing, like he’s not even there. An experiment of sorts. Something to keep Wonwoo on his toes.
The thing about dating an enigma like Jeon Wonwoo is that you always have to play your cards right. You have to keep things unexpected, because otherwise he’ll think that he’s in control, and that’s not how things like this work between them. Mingyu knows that he has to play the long con tonight, which is why he sits very still and only lightly squeezes his hands on Wonwoo’s hips rhythmically, not moving. Sometimes trailing up to his waist. Sometimes petting over his stomach. But his hips stay firmly still. Not even grinding.
Wonwoo probably wants him to move. Is expecting him to move.
Mingyu knows better than to just give him what he wants.
Wonwoo wants stimulation. Wants to use his pleasure against Mingyu. Wants Mingyu to milk his prostate and make him moan, act like this wasn’t meant to punish him. Because Wonwoo knows that Mingyu’s favorite fucking thing in the world is to see his hyung lost in his own desire.
Unfortunately for him, even Kim Mingyu can exhibit self control every once and a while. He just has to be patient.
After a few moments of nothing but the mouse clicking and dials turning, Mingyu starts like this: “what are you working on, hyungie?” He keeps his voice sweet, light. Does not move at all.
“It’s-” Wonwoo starts, and then clenches around Mingyu minutely. Probably trying to get him to move. “It’s, uh, corrections. For Miyoung.”
Mingyu hums. Keeps squeezing Wonwoo’s hips.
“Have you started coloring yours, yet?” He asks, as if they are talking about the weather, as if they are in a completely normal situation.
“Not yet,” Wonwoo mutters. His hips twitch, the tiniest bit. “I’m- ah- I’m… I’m still editing.” Mingyu can almost hear his jaw clench. “I’m working with Doyoung on sound design.”
Mingyu coos. “My hardworking hyung,” he says. “Look at you. So obedient, just working on your little films.”
Wonwoo clenches again, his breath hitching. “Mingyu,” he says. Partially as a warning. A warning for what, exactly, Mingyu isn’t sure. Mingyu ignores him anyway.
“I’m all snug in you and you’re still working your fuckin’ serial nodes, god, look at you,” Mingyu says. “You’ve been such a bad hyung, but you just wanna be good so badly, don’t you?”
Wonwoo squirms. Clicks through color parades and does adjustments like a professional, but his grip on the mouse is wavering. He moves from one still to the next with shaky hands.
“You let me inside you in the fucking post studio, like you want all of your little editors to come in and see how well you take me,” Mingyu says. His tone is still sweet, but his voice has dropped, and it’s taking on that mocking edge that always gets Wonwoo going when they do things like this. “In the color lab, hyung, so naughty. So desperate for me that you’re just sitting on it.”
“Shut up,” Wonwoo whines. His voice breaking a little. “You made me.”
“I didn’t make you do anything,” Mingyu laughs. “I offered you a punishment, and since you’re such a slut for my cock, you just had to take it. You’re begging for it.”
Wonwoo whimpers, but says nothing. Because it’s the truth. Mingyu says all of this in his gentle, low, honest tone. Like he could never lie to his precious Wonwoo hyung.
Slowly… surely…
Mingyu grinds up, just the slightest bit. It’s a tiny movement but Mingyu knows Wonwoo’s body as well as he knows his own. Knows that he’s pressed up right against Wonwoo’s sweet spot, which is confirmed by the sudden moan Wonwoo lets out. Dirty, guttural.
“Min-” Wonwoo mewls, voice tiny. “Min-”
“Doesn’t it feel good?” Mingyu asks. Voice dripping with honey. “You know that I always make you feel good. You know that no one else can make you feel like this.”
Wonwoo clenches. His handle on the control panel slipping, turning the dial too far. Has to reset the correction with both hands, but then he makes the same mistake again.
Mingyu is honestly impressed that he’s still attempting to work. He thought it’d take less than this.
“Hyung,” he says. “You feel so good. So fucking tight. It’s like your hole missed me.”
Wonwoo’s breath stutters and clenches, unclenches. Fluttering around him. Mingyu sinks his fingers into Wonwoo’s hips, hard enough to bruise, and bites back a groan of his own. He’s getting worked up, he knows distantly, but it’s hard not to when you’ve got a gorgeous man on your cock, obediently working on a thesis film just ‘cause you told him to.
“Mingyu,” Wonwoo says. Voice wobbling. It’s insane how quickly he always goes pliant when Mingyu gets like this. Far cry from his usual cocky self.
Mingyu kind of wants to make him cry.
“Your puppy,” Mingyu mutters, “is so deep inside you.” He presses down on Wonwoo’s lower belly, and Wonwoo trembles. Hands shaking as he messes with the dials of the color control board. “I’ve missed you so much, hyungie, missed being inside you. Just wanna live in your guts forever, keep me warm.”
He can feel Wonwoo shiver in his lap. Those broad shoulders shrinking into something small, subdued. Mingyu nips at the back of his neck. Reaches an arm up to play with Wonwoo’s nipple, the other snaking around his waist, holding him snug. Sucks a mark just under his collar.
“Did you miss me too, hyungie?”
It’s been a while since they’ve messed around properly, weeks now, and it’s obvious in the way Wonwoo gives in. As he says, “yes, Min, missed you so much-” voice going breathy and his handle on the mouse getting more sloppy, trembling from his head down to his toes.
Mingyu inhales, exhales. Smiles into Wonwoo’s back. He’s got his hyung right where he wants him.
“If only you hadn’t been in the studio all week, neglecting me,” Mingyu says, almost cooing. “Your favorite cock has been waiting for you, hyung, but you’ve been cheating on me with the fucking Adobe suite.” He bites at Wonwoo’s ear. “You’re never gonna feel better than when I’m in you, sweetheart, I’ve been waiting-” he grinds up into his boyfriend “-to take you apart.”
“Mingyu,” Wonwoo says. Voice wrecked, somehow, though all he’s doing is trembling in Mingyu’s arms. “Mingyu, you’re so fucking big-”
“I know, honey, and I’m so deep inside you,” Mingyu mutters. He holds Wonwoo’s thighs open with one hand, reaches down to trace at where they’re connected with each other. “Does it hurt, hyungie? To be filled after being empty for so long?”
Wonwoo whimpers as Mingyu plays with his rim. It’s wet and pulsing and he gives the slightest hint of pressure; a warning. It wasn’t a part of their agreement tonight, but it still makes Wonwoo shake nonetheless. His hyung’s cold, hard exterior shattered and broken down by a cock in him and fingers playing with his hole.
Mingyu sucks bruise after bruise into Wonwoo’s neck, idly, as he caresses thighs and Wonwoo’s sensitive perineum and delights in the way he trembles in response. It’s not easy to get Wonwoo so uncharacteristically quiet and obedient, but the thing that sets Mingyu ablaze is knowing that no one else would ever be able to do this.
It’s only Mingyu who can turn the infallible Jeon Wonwoo into such a weak, pulsing thing. Into something so desperate. His composure would never falter for anyone else, and it makes Mingyu want to eat him alive.
“Mmm, look at you,” Mingyu says. Pulls at Wonwoo’s nipple and plays with his hole. “You were made to take me hyungie, you’re so easy for it.” And then when Wonwoo gasps and the wireless mouse slips out of his hand: “Careful, baby,” Mingyu says. His tone sharp and condescending, just to play with him. “Look, your offset’s too warm. Watch those vectorscopes.”
Mingyu smiles, vaguely delighted, as Wonwoo makes a wounded noise and goes to correct his mistake. Jeon Wonwoo - notoriously bossy, stubborn, a know-it-all - just sits in his lap and blinks blearily at his screens, trying his best to keep working all because Mingyu told him to.
“God, I can get you dumb just with my cock in you. All you need is something big inside you and you forget how to use your precious programs,” Mingyu says, voice near a growl. The kind of power Wonwoo has put in his hands is making him light-headed with arousal. Any sort of obedience from his boyfriend turns him into something that makes him feel more powerful than any other man on earth.
Wonwoo’s further gone than he thinks, because he says nothing. Just writhes against Mingyu’s chest and keens.
This is so much better than Mingyu could’ve ever hoped.
“I’ll make it good for you,” Mingyu coos. “I’ll make you come so hard, and it’ll feel so good. And then I can fill you up, yeah? Get you nice and full and take you home, eat the stupid chicken-”
“Mingyu-” Wonwoo pants. “Shut up, I don’t wanna-”
“But you do, honey, you fucking do,” Mingyu growls. “You want me to fill you up nice and good, you want me to keep you full, you want my cock more than anything else.” Mingyu thrusts up into him, sharp and firm, right where it feels the best.
Wonwoo is trembling, trembling, trembling. Eyes sliding closed and head lolling back and his grip on the control board going slack. So, so tight and warm, so easy for it, so fucking good-
“You want to come already, I can fucking tell,” Mingyu says, mean, in his ear. “So pathetic, hyung, drooling for your puppy’s cock, just taking me in your cunt like a good, good hyung-”
Wonwoo suddenly sobs, shaking, hands flying up and off the keyboard and mouse to clutch onto Mingyu’s arms, as Mingyu rocks right into his prostate once, and then twice. So reactive to just that, Mingyu all snug inside him, filling him up nice and good. So, so different from his normal Wonwoo hyung, who is always so level-headed and in charge. Mingyu thinks, distantly, about Wonwoo’s usual tone. The familiar who do you belong to, puppy? as he grips Wonwoo’s hips vice-tight and rolls his hips right into his sweet spot.
“‘M yours, hyungie,” Mingyu mutters. “‘M yours and I’m gonna fuck you so good, fill you up so nice, remind you who you belong to ‘cause you’ve spent the past week ignoring me like a bad, bad hyung-”
“Min, please,” Wonwoo moans as Mingyu holds him open with one hand. Under his thigh, holding up behind the knee, while his hips fuck up into him. “‘M sorry, Min-ah, I’m sorry-”
“Is it so hard?’ Mingyu growls. “To let me just take care of you, fill you up nice and good, keep you full?” Fuck the cockwarming, he grips Wonwoo’s thighs open and holds him up while he pounds steady, firm thrusts so deep inside of him. “You made me have to punish you, ‘cause you can’t just let your puppy take care of you. You had to push, and push, and push-”
“Mingyu-” Wonwoo gasps. “Mingyu-”
“All you’ll ever fucking need is me and my cock inside you, honey, look at you,” Mingyu rambles, lost in his own pleasure. Lost in the need to make Wonwoo come, make a mess. “My hyung is so, so desperate to be filled that he lets me do it in the fucking color lab, lets me fuck him dumb, lets me so deep inside him.” Wonwoo mewls. “Your cunt is so fucking tight, I can barely fucking fit, jesus christ-”
He lets go of one of Wonwoo’s thighs to tug at his cock. Wonwoo clings onto his wrist with both hands, fingers slipping, gasping for air. He’s dripping wet, he’s taut like a live wire, he’s so close that Mingyu can taste it.
“I’ll take care of you, baby,” Mingyu growls. “I’ll take care of you, just let go.”
“I-” Wonwoo chokes. “I’m-”
“Come, hyung,” Mingyu tugs his cock and thrusts into him at once. “Come for me, make a mess, show me how fucking good you are-”
Wonwoo comes with a sob. He’s shaking like a fucking leaf, trembling, as ropes of white paint his chest and land a little bit on the desk in front of them (Mingyu should feel ashamed that this is a communal space and they’ve defiled it, but instead he feels an odd sense of pride that’s too much to unpack at this current moment in time). Wonwoo’s fingers are digging into Mingyu’s arms, scratching.
He lets out a long, warbled moan. And: “god, fuck, so deep, feels so good-”
“Gonna take you home with me,” Mingyu pants. “Gonna feed you, force you into the bath.” Wonwoo keens through the overstimulation, as Mingyu chases his release. “Gonna keep you in my bed, keep you as full as you want, let me fucking take care of you and love you and keep you away from this stupid fucking color lab-”
“Mingyu, please,” Wonwoo sounds broken. “Need you inside.”
“I am inside, so deep in your fucking guts,” Mingyu growls. “‘M gonna fill you, as long as you listen, as long as you let me take care of you-”
“I will!” Wonwoo sobs, squirming. “I will, I will, I will-”
“I love you, hyung,” Mingyu moans. “Love you so fucking much.” And then he’s coming.
After being warmed and hard for what feels like hours, reaching this kind of high feels damn-near like nirvana. He thrusts into Wonwoo as hard as he can, keeping him open and spread wide, and makes a wounded sort of groan as he finally gets to fucking fill his boyfriend up. Wonwoo clenches, unclenches. Whimpers.
Mingyu pants as he comes down, as his vision goes from white to back to dark. Wonwoo writhes, and Mingyu pulls out.
Aftercare is a blur. Wonwoo slumps down onto the chair and Mingyu presses kisses to his hair and mutters in his ear, just give me a second, and he cleans up as best as he can. Hopefully no one ever uses a black light in here. He saves the Resolve project (he doubts that any viable edits were made during their scene but it’s better safe than sorry) and ejects Wonwoo’s hard drive and packs up his stuff with his own.
Swings both of their backpacks onto his shoulders, his back internally complaining about their heavy-ass laptops. Wrangles Wonwoo up, gets him out the door with the promise of food. The chicken might still be salvageable, who knows. Mingyu has hamburgers waiting for them at home just in case.
“Home?” Wonwoo asks. Not completely disoriented, thankfully, but considering that he was already exhausted before their scene, it’s a miracle that he’s still on his feet. Mingyu will bundle him up, get him in the bath, get him through all the proper aftercare steps once he’s able to.
“Home,” Mingyu confirms. Keeps his boyfriend tucked in his side. They stay like that the whole way.
-
Two hours later, things are sorted. Wonwoo, the fiend, had eaten both the chicken and hamburgers, though Mingyu suspects that has to do with the fact that no one has been feeding him recently. He runs a bath and forces Wonwoo into the tub (“stinky hyung!” Mingyu had said. “Stinky hyungs take baths!”). He gets him wrapped up in his favorite hoodie of Mingyu’s, curled up in bed, and now they’re watching David Lynch TikTok edits on Mingyu’s laptop because his boyfriend is a little cinephile weirdo.
God, Mingyu loves him so fucking much. Obsessions with weird directors and all.
Sleepy and more subdued: “I’m sorry, Min,” Wonwoo says at one point. “I’m sorry. I know I promised that I’d stop, and then I didn’t.”
Mingyu knew that the apology was coming, as it always does, but he thought he wouldn’t hear it until morning. But Wonwoo looks sheepish, a little shy. Probably still feeling the remnants of his earlier headspace, because Wonwoo’s never shy around him anymore (even when he really should be. Shameless, that one).
Mingyu just smiles. Leans his head on Wonwoo’s shoulder.
“Yeah, I know,” he says. “I’m not upset about it anymore, but it’d be a lie if I said that it didn’t make me pretty frustrated.”
Wonwoo purses his lips. Contemplative. “Sorry,” he says again, voice small.
And, well, that’s not really what he wants to hear. Only one apology is ever necessary, as long as he means it. There’s never a reason to kick each other when the other is already down.
Mingyu huffs and leans harder into him.
“I’m not happy about it, but at least you learned your lesson, right?” And when Wonwoo says nothing, he leans back and looks at him and stares: “Please tell me you learned your lesson.”
To his credit, that makes Wonwoo act more like himself, as he rolls his eyes. “Oh no, my boyfriend had super kinky sex with me, what am I gonna do about it?” Wonwoo says, monotone. “Looks like I’ll have to misbehave again-”
“Hyung-!”
“I’m kidding!” Wonwoo breaks, laughing. He grins into the crown of Mingyu’s head. Mingyu tries not to pout. “Hey, stop that. I know what I did was shitty and I’m not gonna do it again. My corrections sucked anyways.”
Mingyu frowns. “They didn’t suck…”
“I literally don’t think I could distinguish a single color if you asked me to right now,” Wonwoo says. “Like, seriously. I’m just gonna ask Chaeyoung to take over the other ones. She told me that apparently everyone in my year thought I died in the color lab.”
Mingyu smiles. “Yeah, everyone kept asking me if you were still alive.”
“It’s kinda embarrassing,” Wonwoo groans. “I have a reputation to maintain, you know.” And then he makes a contemplative face, as if something is dawning on him for the very first time, and says, slowly: “But getting fucked in there was kind of hot…?”
Of course the kinky loser would think that. Of course.
Mingyu laughs, pushing him away. “Yah. We’re never doing that shit again, not at school.” And, well, he means what he says, but he would also not say no to doing it again.
Wonwoo wiggles his eyebrows. Like the menace he is. “But when I get signed to a big studio you’ll be down?”
Ugh, What a loser. “Your big ego!” Mingyu complains. “See, you’re gonna get a job! There’s no need to live in the goddamn color lab, there’s a whole world out here!”
Wonwoo just smiles. He pulls Mingyu back in, wraps him into a hug.
“I know, you were right.” He says. All soft and gooey and sappy. “I should’ve listened and let you take care of me but I was stressed and an asshole.”
Mingyu smiles, a little smug. Look at his hyung, so self aware. Stubborn, sure, but self aware.
“‘S okay, cause I love you, and I just want you to be healthy and happy,” Mingyu says. Pauses. And then because this is the perfect time to say it: “But also, I told you so.”
Just like that, the perfect bubble of a moment is popped. Mingyu laughs as Wonwoo pushes him away, offended.
“YAH!” He yells. Takes a pillow, hits him over the head with it. “Kim Mingyu, you fucking brat-”
Mingyu giggles, leaping off the bed, running away from his boyfriend’s ire. They’ll get noise complaints later, but who fucking cares. His boyfriend is back to his maniacal, evil self, and it’s Mingyu’s job to start annoying him again.
The balance has been restored.
-
“Oh, shit!” Mingyu wakes up, later, at 3 AM. he turns to Wonwoo, shakes him awake. “I forgot to text Hansol to tell him that you’re alive!”
