Work Text:
Alright, so maybe telling Robin that he’s always thought his house might be haunted wasn’t the best idea Steve’s ever had.
“Since when?! I’m at your house at least two days a week and I’ve never noticed anything even a little off putting,” she says, walking back behind the Family Video counter.
“It’s nothing crazy. Just the occasional lights flickering and cold spots and stuff.”
“Which, again, has never happened to me. Also, why has this never come up before?”
“I’m not about to go around telling people I think there’s a ghost in my house. They’d think I’m crazy.”
“Okay, first of all, I’m not people. I am your platonic soulmate with whom all of your secrets are meant to be shared. Second of all, if you don’t want to talk about it, why are you bringing it up now?”
Steve shrugs. “Eddie made a comment about it when he was over the other day, so I figured maybe I’m not as crazy as I thought.”
“Munson?”
“Uhh, yeah. You know any other Eddies?”
“Hmm,” Robin hums contemplatively.
Steve looks up from the tapes he’s rewinding. “What?”
“Nothing. I just didn’t realize you and Munson hung out without Dustin around,” Robin says thoughtfully.
“We just smoke together sometimes. It’s not a big deal,” he says, punctuating his comment with another shrug.
The bell at the front door rings and the two look up to see Eddie standing there, tossing his cigarette butt on the pavement and crushing it with his foot before walking inside.
“Speak of the devil,” Robin says. “You came just in time, Munson.”
“I always do, Buckley,” Eddie says, sending a wink Steve’s way.
Steve rolls his eyes in response and goes back to rewinding his tapes.
“What am I in time for?” Eddie continues, leaning against the counter.
“Steve was just telling me about how his house has a ghost.”
“ Might,” Steve amends. “My house might have a ghost.”
“Steve, it literally locked us in your room the last time I was over,” Eddie counters.
“WHAT?!” Robin screams, earning her some dirty looks from the older couple searching in the romance section. “Steve’s door locks from the inside.”
“I know, but it wouldn’t even let us turn the knob.”
“It just got jammed,” Steve argues. “It was weird, but it wasn’t the ghost.”
“Really?” Eddie asks incredulously. “And have you had any issues with it since then?”
Steve’s silence is answer enough.
“How did you guys end up getting out?”
“We were just gonna wait it out, but after three hours I had to go to Hellfire Club, so Steve helped lower me out the window.”
Robin gapes and looks at Steve. “How long were you in there after Eddie left?”
“It opened up immediately after he was gone,” Steve admits. “I’m still not entirely convinced he wasn’t just fucking with me.”
“Um, excuse me, Harrington. You tried that door yourself plenty of times. You know that’s bullshit.”
“I’m just saying, I’ve never seen the ghost do anything like that. I mean, the most it’s allegedly done is yank a bottle of drain cleaner out of my hand before I drank it.”
“You almost drank drain cleaner?” Eddie asks.
“I thought it was Gatorade,” Steve snaps back.
“I’m sorry… You are telling me that you had a whole bottled get ripped out of your hands by an unknown force and you still aren’t totally convinced you have a ghost?” Robin asks.
“I was four, Robs. I probably just dropped it. I mean, that’s sure as shit what my mom thought when she whooped my ass for messing up her floor.”
“Steve. I’m going to be honest- I’m pretty confident that you have a ghost. This feels fairly definitive.”
Steve throws up his hands in uncertainty. “It doesn’t really matter either way. There’s no way to know for sure.”
“Well, there’s one way,” Eddie sing songs.
Steve looks at him with an unimpressed glare. “Oh, yeah? And how's that, Munson?”
“I borrow Gareth’s ouija board and bring it over later.”
“Oh my god!” Robin squeals. “A seance! I’m so in! This is going to be awesome. I’m gonna see if Nancy’s in, too. I need some more female energy to balance out you idiots.”
She rushes out from behind the employee counter, almost running into the old couple on her way to the phone in the back.
“Sorry,” she calls during her mad dash.
The couple blink in shock, looking at the door she just disappeared through. Eddie covers his laughter with a cough, while Steve huffs out a frustrated sigh at his best friend’s antics.
“I can help you guys over here,” he says, in his best customer service voice.
They head over to him, still looking wearily towards the back door as Steve checks them out and bags their tapes for them.
“Alright, these are due back by the thirteenth. Enjoy your movies!”
As soon as they are gone, Steve’s faux smile falls and he crosses his arms as he glares at Eddie, who has been hovering nearby this whole time.
“You’re a menace, you know that?”
“Who? Me?” Eddie asks with mock innocence, batting his long eyelashes for good measure.
“You realize if anything even remotely creepy happens, Robin will probably never set foot inside my house again? Are you prepared to have that on your conscience?”
“I’m afraid my conscience has more pressing matters to attend to, Stevie,” he says, leaning against the counter on his forearms.
“Oh, yeah?” Steve retorts, mirroring Eddie’s actions, so their arms lightly brush against one another on the counter. “Like what?”
“That’s between me and my priest.”
Steve snorts. “As if you’ve ever set foot in a church in your life. You’d probably burst into flames if you tried.”
Eddie just grins at him.
“Alright, Nance is in!” Robin declares, bursting back out from the back room.
Eddie and Steve spring apart at the sound of her voice.
“We’re gonna come by at eight, so make sure the pizza is ordered by 7:30.”
Steve rolls his eyes at being volunteered to supply food when he didn’t even agree to them coming over in the first place. “So this is happening then?”
“Oh, this is definitely happening, Harrington,” Eddie says with a wolfish grin.
***
Steve opens the door just in time for Robin to burst past him with a box full of candles in her arms.
“I’m gonna talk to a ghost!” she squeals excitedly as she runs into the living room.
Steve groans affectionately and turns back to Nancy who has been left behind by their friend on the front porch.
“She’s excited,” Nancy explains.
“Oh, I caught on to that fact,” Steve retorts.
Nancy laughs and heads inside, giving Steve a kiss on the cheek as she passes. By the time they make it into the living room, Robin has already set up a large ring of probably fifty candles around the carpet.
“Rob, what the hell is this?”
“It’s a candle circle, Steve. It’s so the ghosts know where we are.”
Steve sighs. “Of course it is. How could the ghosts possibly find us without a hundred candles surrounding us?”
“Exactly,” Robin says, completely oblivious to Steve’s sarcasm.
Nancy huffs out a laugh as she and Steve look at each other with exasperated affection for their mutual friend.
The doorbell rings again and he goes to answer it, finding the pizza guy waiting for him. He pays him and takes the pizza into the kitchen where the girls descend upon it immediately.
“Don’t feel the need to wait on Eddie or anything,” Steve sasses.
“We don’t,” Robin responds, her mouth full of pizza as she talks.
Steve is about to shoo them away from the food, when someone knocks on the door and his attention is redirected. He heads back that way, absentmindedly combing his fingers through his hair before opening the door to see a grinning Eddie standing before him. In his hands is a very worn looking Ouija board box.
“You ready to summon some ghosts, Harrington?” Eddie asks, stepping up close to Steve so their faces are only inches apart.
When they first started hanging out, Steve wasn’t prepared for how tactile Eddie could be. He used to lean away and gently nudge him off when Eddie would get in his space like this. But he’s learned to expect it and doesn’t even flinch at the close contact now. In fact, he hardly notices it now.
“As I’ll ever be,” he says, his eyes roaming Eddie’s bright, beaming face. “Pizza is in the kitchen. You hungry?”
“Starving,” Eddie moans, before taking a step out of Steve’s space.
Not a moment later, there is a loud banging sound down the hall that has them both jumping out of their skin.
“Oh my god!” Robin screams from the kitchen, running into the entryway with wide eyes. “Please tell me that was one of you guys?”
Eddie opens his mouth to respond, but nothing came out.
“It was probably our mop falling in the cupboard,” Steve reasons.
“Okay, Steve. I know you aren’t the most scientifically-gifted, but objects don’t move unless acted upon by an external force and, last I checked, the only people in this house that are able to apply said external force are nowhere near the cupboard. Which means the only plausible explanation is paranormal activity. The ghosts are active. We’ve got to take advantage of this. EVERYBODY TO THE LIVING ROOM! STAT!”
She grabs Steve and Eddie by the arms and drags them after her.
“Can we at least grab a slice first?” Steve pleads, trying to reach for the pizza box as they pass through the kitchen.
“There’s no time for that, Steve! This is literally the first sign of life- or, well, afterlife- that I’ve seen from them and I don’t want to miss our chance to communicate just ‘cause you’re hungry.”
Steve just groans instead of arguing further, having seen Robin on a warpath enough times to know there’s no point. He does share a meaningful look of annoyance with Eddie, though.
When they get to the living room, Nancy is lighting the candles with one hand, while holding a slice of pizza in her other hand.
“How come she gets to eat?” Eddie whines.
“I’m just finishing my slice,” Nancy argues. “I’ll be done by the time we start.”
“You two are taking this way too seriously,” Eddie grumbles, as Robin tugs the two boys down onto the carpet on either side of her.
Despite his protests, Eddie opens the lid on his box and takes out a wooden board with the alphabet printed on it, along with the words “yes” and “no” in the top corners and the word “goodbye” on the bottom. He sets it in the space between them as Nancy sits down in the empty space beside Steve. Her pizza is gone, but she’s still chewing on her last bite.
“So how exactly does this work?” she asks Eddie, who is sitting on her other side, after she’s swallowed her food.
Eddie grabs a little rounded triangle looking thing with a glass circle in the middle from his box and holds it up. “This is a planchette. We place it in the center of the board and touch it with two fingers each and the spirits will use it to deliver their messages through us.”
“And it really works?” Nancy asks, skeptically.
Eddie shrugs. “Depends on who you ask. Gareth swears up and down that he had a ghost named Matilda call him a ‘milksop’ before.”
“What the hell is a milksop?” Robin asks.
“Apparently it’s a nice way of calling someone a pussy.”
“Huh. Interesting,” Robin remarks with genuine curiosity. “Steve, hit the lights,” she orders.
Steve sighs and stands up to head to the light switch. “I can’t believe we’re doing this,” he grumbles under his breath as he goes.
“Believe it, Steve!” Robin calls back.
He groans and flips off the light switch. Immediately, the room goes black, the only light coming from the candle circle. It casts his friends’ faces in eerie, flickering shadows. A chill fills the air, causing Steve to shiver as he sits back down in between the girls.
“What now?” Robin asks.
Eddie sets the planchette over the “G” on the board. “Now you are each going to take your pointer and middle fingers and lightly place them on this little guy.”
They all tentatively place their fingers on the planchette and look at Eddie for further instructions. The metalhead has his eyes closed, the candles causing tendrils of his hair to make swirling shadows dance across his face. He takes a deep breath in, his chest rising with the action.
“We call upon the spirit world and invite any good intentioned spirits to speak with us,” he announces. “Are there any such spirits with us now?”
Steve startles when the piece of wood under his fingers begins to shift.
“Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod,” Robin starts chanting rapidly.
“Eddie, this is not funny,” Nancy snaps, her eyes wide in alarm, Robin still stammering in the background.
“It’s not me, Wheeler,” Eddie insists.
“Then, who is it?” she hisses.
“I’m guessing it’s the ghosts.”
Nancy opens her mouth to argue further when the planchette stops and they all look down to see it’s landed on “yes.”
“It said yes! It said yes!” Robin screeches, causing Steve to wince at the volume.
“Robin, not in my ear, damn,” he huffs.
“Sorry,” she says, much quieter than before.
“No way this is real,” Nancy protests. “One of you moved it.”
“It wasn’t me,” Eddie repeats.
“Or me,” Steve agrees.
Robin just shakes her head, too flustered to even speak.
“Alright,” Nancy resigns. “Fine. If there’s really a ghost talking to us, then what is your name?”
The planchette moves again-
C-H-A-R-L-I-E
“Charlie?” Eddie reads. “Alright, Charlie, are there any messages you’d like to pass along from the spirit world?”
F-U-C-K
“Fuck?” Nancy repeats.
I-D-I-O-T-S
“Idiots?” Robin reads aloud.
“Fuck idiots?” Steve ponders.
“Does it want us to go out and find some idiots to fuck?” Eddie interprets.
The planchette begins drifting across the board again. They watch it move, looking at one another inquisitively, before it stops over the word “no.”
“Do you think that it means we’re fucking idiots?” Steve asks.
The planchette shifts to the “yes” and then back to the “no” in quick succession.
“Yes and no?” Nancy interprets.
“Maybe it means, like, fuck comma idiots,” Robin suggests.
Before anyone can comment, the planchette starts to move again. They all watch it shift in anticipation. Slowly, it hovers over the “yes” and stops.
“Yes, you mean fuck, idiots?” Robin asks.
The planchette moves in a little circle before falling back over the “yes.”
“Why would the ghost say ‘fuck, idiots?’” Nancy retorts.
The four of them look at each other quizzically. Nancy and Steve’s eyes linger curiously on each other, considering they are the only ones in the group who have, in fact, fucked before. But there is no interest in either of their eyes. Any tension that ever existed between them has faded away in the moments since.
Steve blinks away from her, his eyes automatically moving to Eddie. He finds the other man trying very hard not to meet his gaze.
“Who exactly do you want to fuck who?” Robin asks. “Because personally I’m not really interested in fucking any of the people here. No offense, guys.”
“None taken, Buckley. You are not exactly my type either,” Eddie says.
The planchette starts moving again.
Steve’s heart about jumps out of his chest when the ghost starts spelling out S-T-E… It doesn’t help that everyone’s eyes start peeking up at him. But, then, when they are all expecting a V, the planchette shifts a little to the left and finishes with D-D-I-E.
“Steddie?” Nancy repeats back.
“For a second I really thought it was talking about me,” Steve comments, sighing in relief at not being the subject of this ghost’s unsolicited attempt at matchmaking.
“But it spelled Eddie’s name, too? S-T then Eddie,” Nancy points out.
“Is it trying to say Eddie is a saint?” Steve asks.
“As sweet as that is for you to suggest, Stevie, I don’t think anyone in the spirit realm would ever accuse me of being a saint.”
“Guys,” Robin blurts suddenly, her eyes wide. “Steve, Eddie. Steddie! It’s your names combined. The ghost is talking about both of you.”
Steve and Eddie gape at each other in disbelief.
“I think this ghost really wants you two to fuck,” Nancy deduces in shock.
In response, the lights in the room begin to frantically flicker on and off.
Robin startles at the action, but she doesn’t react further. The lights shut off again and the room becomes uncomfortably quiet. Steve can feel Nancy and Robin’s eyes on him, but he’s looking contemplatively at Eddie.
Does the ghost really think they should fuck? They seem really invested in it, actually. Weirdly invested. I mean, you get the chance to say anything you want to the mortal realm and your first thought is that two guys should fuck each other? Creepy.
But now Steve understands why there is so much activity when Eddie’s around and none when Robin is here.
And… oh. The bedroom thing makes a lot more sense now, too.
But, why?
Okay, so, maybe they both get into each other’s personal space a lot, but Eddie is just a tactile guy and Steve has learned to match his energy. And, sure, they cuddle sometimes and Steve is comfortable enough to admit that Eddie is attractive, but he’s never had any desire to be with another guy in that way.
…has he?
Eddie looks back at him, his big, brown eyes soft and warm in the candlelight. Steve tries to picture it- his big, ringed hands wrapping around him… His long tongue tasting Steve’s skin… His wild curls fisted tight around Steve’s hand while Eddie-
“You know, I just remembered I forgot to mow my lawn,” Robin declares suddenly.
“Me too,” Nancy agrees, following Robin up.
“We’re supposed to say goodbye first,” Eddie tells them before they can get too far.
“I’m sure you and Steve can handle it from here,” Nancy says, backing out of the room with a mischievous gleam in her eye.
Steve and Eddie glance at each other for only a moment before bashfully looking away.
“I’ll walk you out,” Steve insists, chasing after them.
He opens the front door for them and they both give him a half-hearted wave before dashing to their car.
He turns to head back in when he hears Robin calling his name. He looks in her direction just in time for her to throw something at him. It bounces off his chest and onto the ground and when he looks he sees it’s a condom.
“You might need that!” Robin calls as Nancy pulls out of the driveway.
Steve blinks after them, watching them through the front window as they squeal and laugh before zooming down the street.
With nothing left to do, Steve braces himself to head back inside and face Eddie. (And, okay, maybe he takes the condom with him, but only because he doesn’t want to have to explain its presence to his parents when they get home).
When he gets to the living room, the lights have been turned back on and Eddie is blowing out the candles.
“Hey,” he says, his voice casual, but his shoulders tense. “I finished the session, so we’re all set.”
“Cool,” Steve responds, moving to help with the candles.
They work silently until they get to the last candle at the same time and blow it out before realizing the other man is there. Their faces are an inch away as they glance up and meet each other’s eyes, the smoke from the snuffed candle dancing through the small space between them.
Steve gives Eddie a tentative smile. “So that… didn’t go how I expected it to,” he jokes.
Thankfully, Eddie laughs, rubbing the back of his neck as he does. “Yeah, super weird.”
“Guess they’re probably desperate for entertainment,” Steve posits. “Being stuck in a house forever is probably boring.”
“Well, they should really get a life.”
Steve laughs.
Eddie smiles back and he’s got that look in his eye, the one he gets when he’s starting to get revved up. “Don’t know how they died here when clearly they belonged in a nuthouse. I mean, seriously? Us? That’s insane.”
Steve bites his lip nervously, afraid to disclose his earlier revelation if Eddie doesn’t feel the same.
“Isn’t it?” Eddie asks, when he notices Steve’s hesitation. Steve sees a look in his eye, dare he say, a hopeful look and it spurs him into action.
Steve shrugs, looking deep into Eddie’s eyes as he says earnestly, “maybe it’s not that crazy.”
The air between them is charged as they stare at each other, like the moment before lightning strikes. Then, between one breath and the next, they are clinging desperately to each other, their lips coming together in a greedy kiss.
Eddie tastes like cigarettes and Mountain Dew and Steve can’t get enough. He licks hungrily into his mouth, wanting more of the flavor that is so Eddie he can’t stand it.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe this is happening,” Eddie groans against his mouth.
“Neither can I,” Steve admits. “But I don’t want to stop.”
“No, don’t stop,” Eddie agrees. “God, I want you so badly, Stevie.”
The lights start to flicker again and the two boys pull apart to watch.
“I think they’re excited,” Steve laughs.
Eddie chuckles. “Better give them a show, then,” he retorts, waggling his eyebrows. Then he’s slowly, seductively taking off his shirt and Steve’s own eyebrows are in his hairline.
“This okay?” Eddie asks when his shirt is up and off.
Steve nods, too busy looking at Eddie’s lithe, tattoo covered torso to respond verbally. Eddie grins wide enough to show his dimples and Steve wonders how he ever thought he and Eddie were just friends.
When the metalhead touches him again, it’s soft and gentle. He brings one hand up to comb through Steve’s hair, while the other slides up his back.
“Have you ever done anything with a guy before?” Eddie asks delicately.
Steve shakes his head. “No, I’ve never even considered it until you.”
Eddie’s eyes light up and he gives Steve a quick peck on the lips. “So how far are you comfortable going? We don’t have to do anything more than kiss if you aren’t ready.”
Steve considers it. It would probably be wise to take this slow. After all, he thought he was straight not three hours ago and rushing things seems ill advised. But the more he thinks about it, the more he thinks that maybe they aren’t rushing anything. Maybe every squeeze of the shoulder and brush of the arm has been a subtle form of foreplay between them, carefully inching them towards this inevitable conclusion.
Steve takes his own shirt off in lieu of responding, watching proudly as Eddie’s eyes slowly rake down his broad, hairy chest. “Let’s give these ghosts a show,” he says, pulling Eddie in for another bruising kiss.
They kiss and they kiss until they somehow end up on the floor, the Ouija board forgotten beside them. Eventually, their pants come off until they are left with nothing between them but the thin material of their boxers hardly covering the straining erections pressed against each other.
The sensation of another man’s dick against his own is foreign to Steve, but he finds himself rolling his hips into the other man’s, desperately chasing the wave of pleasure that the movement sends through him. Eddie’s hands are everywhere, mapping out Steve’s thighs and chest and ass like an explorer. It doesn’t take long for his mouth to start exploring too, going from Steve’s lips to his jaw before taking his sweet time nipping and sucking at Steve’s neck until he’s moaning like, well, a ghost.
Eddie moves down further, kissing down Steve’s chest and licking at his nipples until Steve arches his back with a loud whine. As he makes his way down Steve’s chest, his hands both make their way to the elastic of Steve’s underwear, fidgeting and tugging at it, but not moving it down. After licking along his happy trail, Eddie pulls away to look Steve in the eye.
“Can I take these off?” he asks.
Steve nods, a moment of insecurity bubbling up before he realizes that it’s Eddie he’s baring his body for and he’d trust the man with anything.
Eddie smiles and bites playfully at Steve’s belly while he pulls Steve’s boxers down and off. Steve gasps as his cock springs free and slaps heavily against his stomach.
“Can I blow you?” Eddie asks, his voice deep.
“Um, yes,” Steve breathes. “You can definitely do that.”
He’s expecting Eddie to get right to it, that’s usually how it goes with the girls he’s been with. But instead Eddie starts by grabbing his balls and rolling them around in his fingers while his mouth bites at his thighs. Steve gasps at the sensations as his hips involuntarily thrust up towards Eddie’s face.
“Eager, huh, Stevie?” Eddie teases.
“Just hoping you’ll get on with it ,” Steve sasses back.
“Get on with what, Steve? What do you want?”
“Want you to touch me,” Steve whines.
“I am touching you,” he retorts, squeezing his thigh and hip for emphasis.
“My dick! Touch my dick,” Steve groans.
“Ooooh,” Eddie hums. “You mean like this?” He lightly drags the tip of his pointer finger up the underside of Steve’s cock. Steve jolts at the sensation, his breath hard and panting.
“M-mouth. I w-want your mouth,” he pleads.
“Good boy,” Eddie praises. “Asking for what you want. I think you deserve a reward.”
Before Steve even has an opportunity to be excited by the prospect of a reward, Eddie is wrapping his lips around his head and lapping at his slit with his tongue.
“Oh my, fuck,” Steve shouts. They’ve only just begun and already Steve thinks this may be the best blow job he’s ever had.
Maybe even the best sex he’s had, period. (No offense, Nancy).
And it just gets better as Eddie sinks lower until he’s swallowed down Steve’s entire dick. The metalhead moans around him like Steve’s the best thing he’s ever tasted and Steve kinda can’t believe his fucking luck.
It doesn’t take Eddie long to build up a rhythm, bobbing his head up and down like he’s done this a million times before. Shit, maybe he has. He’s certainly talented.
Steve is helpless but to stare at him as he sends him closer and closer to the edge. He even gets to fulfill his earlier fantasy when he pulls back Eddie’s long waves and holds them tightly in his fist. Eddie groans at the action, doubling his efforts appreciatively.
“Eds. Eds, I’m gonna-“ Steve warns, pulling lightly on Eddie’s hair to get him to pull off before Steve blows. Eddie just sinks down further and sucks until Steve shoots his load down his throat.
“Holy shit,” Steve gasps as he comes slowly down from his high. “You’re really good at that.”
“This ain’t my first rodeo, sweetheart,” Eddie rasps before kissing Steve lightly on the cheek.
It’s so endearingly sweet and innocent compared to what he’d just been doing that Steve can’t help but swoon a little.
He looks down at where Eddie’s dick is still trapped by his boxers, a dark, noticeable wet spot staining the material. He reaches down tentatively and Eddie’s body jerks when the younger man’s hand rubs against his straining erection.
“Can I return the favor?” Steve asks, nudging Eddie onto his back as he hovers over him.
“Steve, if I ever say no to having your mouth on my dick, perform an exorcism, ‘cause that ain’t me talking.”
Steve laughs and pulls down Eddie’s boxers to reveal his hard, red cock. Steve just looks at it for a moment. It’s thicker than his own, but not as long, and he isn’t entirely confident he can comfortably fit it in his mouth. Then he thinks about how confident and capable Eddie had been and suddenly the task feels a little too daunting.
“Hey,” Eddie says softly, placing a hand on Steve’s chin and guiding his gaze back up to his face. “It’s okay if you aren’t comfortable with this. I’m good, okay?”
“But I want to see you come,” Steve pouts.
Eddie smirks and shrugs. “You can use your hand if you want. Something tells me you have plenty of experience with a hand around a dick,” he winks.
“Jackass,” Steve snarks, with a playful shove to the other man’s shoulder. But despite his attitude, he takes Eddie’s advice and wraps his fist around him and squeezes a bit.
It wipes the smirk off Eddie’s face real quick.
Turns out, Eddie was right, too. The angle may be different, but Steve knows exactly how to get Eddie moaning and gasping with nothing but his hand. He watches with rapt attention as Eddie bites his lower lip and squeezes his eyes shut in ecstasy. His dick is leaking a steady stream of precum and he eyes it curiously.
Feeling bold, Steve bends down to lick the precum from Eddie’s tip at the same time as he reaches his free hand down to grab Eddie’s balls.
“Shit!” is all the warning Steve gets before his face is suddenly painted with Eddie’s creamy, white spend. Eddie’s groans are followed by heavy silence as they take in what just happened. Steve blinks at him, he’s staring horrified back at him.
“I am so sorry,” he says. “It hit me out of nowhere.”
Steve can tell by the contrite look in his eyes that Eddie is genuinely worried he may have ruined everything. But he didn’t. He couldn’t. And Steve bursts into raucous laughter to prove it. Eddie gapes at him for a moment in disbelief before he hesitantly starts laughing along. Pretty soon, the two are hysterical.
“You know,” Steve says, licking his lips. “That didn’t taste as bad as I thought it would. Maybe I should have just given the blow job thing a shot.”
“Next time,” Eddie suggests with a bashful smile that Steve can’t help but return.
“Next time,” he agrees.
Eddie leans up and kisses him, his chin getting sticky with his own drying cum, which has Steve howling.
He’s never laughed like this during sex before. It somehow makes it feel all the more intimate.
“Come on, let’s go upstairs and clean up. Then, we can cuddle… if you want,” Steve suggests.
“That sounds perfect,” Eddie says.
Steve gets up first and helps his… boyfriend (?!) to his feet. Eddie happily takes the help and uses the momentum to pull Steve into a quick kiss. He grins at the action, physically restraining himself from giggling like a little schoolgirl over how enamored he is.
As they’re walking out, Eddie turns back to the room, his eyes roaming the empty space as if expecting a person to be hidden in plain sight.
“Happy now?” he asks the room, jokingly.
Steve laughs giddily, grabbing him by the arm and dragging him out. Eddie lets himself be dragged easily, switching the light off as they go.
In the dark room, no one sees the planchette slowly shift from its spot over the word “goodbye” all the way up to the word “yes.”
