“I wasn’t trying to move,” Pete mumbles - but his complaint is half-hearted at best. For a moment, he lets the weight of his head rest on Patrick’s hand, and then he shifts back to a more correct posture, and lowers his shoulders. “Anyways - back to how you were totally in love with me in high school-”
It tumbles out like a joke, like Pete’s not being serious at all so it shouldn’t matter - Pete wouldn’t laugh if he knew, so - Patrick’s long-held suspicions were right, and Pete, in fact, does not know.
Pete asks Patrick to braid his hair before a show, and the chat that happens while Patrick's playing with Pete's hair brings about some long overdue confessions.
