Henry notices the box of Cornettos on the counter. He picks it up, shakes the box, then peers inside.
It's empty. Bollocks.
He looks up and spots Alex, who's holding a Cornetto he's just unwrapped in his hand. He comes closer and walks around him, wrapping his arms around his waist from behind and resting his chin on his shoulder. “Love, that's the last Cornetto. You know they're my favorite- if you loved me, you'd let me have it. We won't be going back to England for months, and I can't keep asking Pez to ship them. International shipping is expensive.”
Alex sighed. “Trust me, Cornettos are closer than you think.”
The next week, Alex surprises Henry with a month’s supply of Cornettos for his birthday, and reveals that they were hidden in the back of their freezer for weeks.
Henry's never going to believe the Cornettos have run out ever again.
