Summary
On the dusty trail to Salvation, five strangers meet; A high and mighty hobgoblin brought low by suspicious circumstances, a fierce bugbear warrior estranged from his clan, A mysterious bird-like creature who does not belong on this continent, A friendly warforged with a dark past, and the toast of Sharn: Lucky Stiff the Mechanical Boxer. Taking whatever work they can get in the aftermath of a hundred years of war, these five become salvagers in the blasted ruins known only as the Mournland, and take strength from one another to survive and, indeed, thrive in their new lives.
However, fate and prophesy conspire, and these five strangers will find themselves at the center of a conflict that could plunge the continent back into another hundred years of endless war.
