    In an alternate universe, when the Waynes are shot down outside that theatre, little Bruce Wayne dies along with them.
    Years later, eight of those he had mentored in countless other universes - eight whom in this universe received no help and no guidance - are hit with a barrage of memories from a different time, from different versions of themselves. Most pressing about these memories is how they end: transdimensional entities destroyed their reality, and are coming for this one.
