Chapter Text
[Alcina POV]
You all decided to take a few hours at looking after Rose each instead of an hour, still following the order of who would watch over her. You, Miranda then Donna.
You chose to allow Rose to roam about in a new baby walker purchased from the Duke. Rose was rather quick for being so young but she loved chasing the girls around. Miranda would just... ramble on about whatever came to mind and Rose would listen... well... listen as well as a baby would. You figured Rose just loved listening to her talk. Donna would read stories and use stuffed animals to tell the stories. The first time Donna looked after Rose, Rose grabbed her veil. Donna froze yet Rose seemed to have no problem with the scar on Donnas face, in fact, she could stop smiling. Guess even Rose thinks Donna looks beautiful without her veil.
Y/N had been out for three days, who could blame her? She was so insistent on looking after Rose alone that she had pushed herself to the point of exhaustion. But why didn’t she come to either of you for help? You had told her she wasn’t alone in raising Rose so... why didn’t she come to any of you?
You listened closely, you could hear Y/N stirring. Perhaps she was finally waking up. Time to go check. You gestured to Miranda and Donna to follow, Donna leaving Rose with Bela.
[Y/N POV]
You turn over, your head throbbing. Where were you? You opened your eyes to find yourself in Alcinas chambers. How did you get here?
...
WHERE’S ROSE? Just as you were about to launch from the bed, you felt a hand gently pushing you back down.
“Calm down Y/N.” Alcina said.
“Where’s Rose?” You asked.
“She’s safe. She's with Bela.” Donna replied.
“I need to go.” You said. But Alcina pushed you back down onto the bed.
“Y/N, calm down. Rose is safe.” Alcina said in a stern tone.
“No. Rose needs me. I need to keep her safe. I can’t let her be alone.” You argued, trying to break from Alcinas hold.
“Y/N, Rose is safe. She isn’t alone.” Miranda said.
“NO. I NEED TO KEEP HER SAFE. I WON’T LET HER BE ALONE AGAIN.... I... I can’t....” You began to cry.
“Y/N... this isn’t just about Rose... is it?” Donna asked.
You shook your head. “I... I don’t want her to be like me.”
“What do you mean dear?” Alcina asked.
“When my parents died... I was taken in but... I was still so alone. My adoptive parents.... they may have given me gifts and fed me, clothed me, put a roof over my head but... there was never any love in it. I was so alone for so many years... then I was given to Nathan and my life became even more lonely. I don’t want Rose to go through what I did.” You cried.
All three Alphas moved and wrapped their arms around you.
“Y/N... Rose won’t ever go through that. She has you caring so much about her. She needs you but she also needs you to take care of yourself as well. Remember what I said, you’re not alone in this Y/N. We’re a family and we can also shoulder the workload. You need to take care of yourself as well as Rose and we can help with that. You just need to let us.” Alcina said.
“But...” You went to speak.
“No buts Y/N. Let us help you with Rose. She's not going to just disappear on you if you let her be with someone else for a few hours. She knows you love her and she always will. But you need to look after yourself as well.” Miranda replied.
“Rose will never be alone. We'll all make sure of it. We'll all shoulder this task, no matter what happens.” Donna added.
You wrapped your arms around them. You didn’t speak, what could you say? They were right, as always.
“Can... can I see her? I won’t... try to run off or anything.” You said.
“Of course. Wait here.” Alcina said, leaving the room.
Alcina soon returned with Rose in her arms. Alcina sat down beside you and placed Rose on your lap.
“Hey baby girl, have you been good?” you cooed.
Rose laughed then leaned forward, grabbing your nose with her tiny hand.
“Yeah? Have you been having fun? Been behaving for your mothers?” You asked.
You heard each alphas breath hitch. Rose continued to ramble, as she pulled at your nose and nibbled on your chin.
Eventually you decided it was time.
“Alright, now you behave for Bela ok? And don’t go pulling any pranks with Dani. I won’t have you becoming a little rascal. One's bad enough.” You joked, earning a chuckle from your alphas.
Bela entered the room and you handed Rose to her. It wasn’t easy, watching her leave the room. But your alphas were right. You needed to take care of yourself. You weren’t alone in raising Rose.
“How long was I out?” You asked.
“Three days.” Donna replied.
You chuckled. “of course I was. Sorry about... How I acted before.”
“It’s quite alright. No one was harmed.” Miranda said.
“Now, how about we go and get some food? I’m in need of some Wine.” Alcina said.
Your legs were a bit stiff until your moved around a bit. You then slowly followed behind Alcina to the dining room. “Black God, I could eat a horse right now.”
“Well we’ll just have to give you a large meal then.” Alcina said with a grin.
Knowing her, she wasn’t joking.
