“What,” Dick says, then puffs out a shaky breath. He tries again. “What do you want?”
There’s a trace of petulance beneath the blatant confusion, a peevishness that automatically gets Jason’s hackles up before he consciously lowers them, along with an outward calming breath. “You called me, dickhead. Twice.”
“No. No, I didn’t – I.” Dick stutters before there’s a complicated sound, as if he’s dropped the phone. The tumbling motion abruptly halts, but even from whatever distance away, the receiver can still pick up stilted muttering.

Dick's acting weird. Jason is going to find out why.

INCREDIBLY good.
Dick and Jason, where Dick calls Jason to come help him while Jason is running on low sleep and exhausted. Mysterious strange sickness that’s happening to Dick. Keeps spacing out/freezing up/losing time. Jason is written brilliantly. Especially like the way the author writes Jason’s thought processes/logic and thoughts on himself. Very good take on whatever the lazarus-emotion-monster-thing (“creature”) in his chest.
Prose is very very good
