Oh wow. This whole fic was just a journey. I enjoyed every single part of it and watching Tom and Harry slowly grow close to each other, watching Tom's manipulations and plans change as Harry changes, watching them both be purely in love with each other..
It's beautiful. I loved how you ended it too with the title in the verse. It's one of my fav ways authors write fics (tying the title in somewhere in the fic and showing how significant it is) and you did it so well.
Thank you also for not demonizing Ginny or Hermione or Ron or Dumbledore. I agree with Death that it's always sad seeing them demonized when it could make a far more compelling (and challenging) story to write if they remain steadfast and loyal to Harry. This was lovely, really, and I love the little Blairon and Remione mentioned on the side -- it shows how even though Harry and Tom are the main characters, the world isn't just put on hold for them, that other characters have their own lives too that they're going through. I also like the mention of Sirius and his soulmate. Really, I like how all the soulmates we've heard so far tend to be unconventional pairs -- often people think your soulmate will be the perfect match but then we get literal enemies, massive age gap, familial ties, and it shows how the soulmate system can have a lot of things that may go "wrong" and it's not always pretty and perfect the way it's painted. Truthfully, I feel like unconventional soulmate pairs can make for a better story due to the challenges it poses.
