Summary
Lance misses Keith.
Way more than he’d like to admit- not even because he’s embarrassed of missing his “rival,” but because he’s ashamed how much he’s affected.
He had stopped taking depression meds years ago, even before the Garrison, after he’d been so elated as he grew closer to achieving his dream. Too focused on being good enough to be sad.
He’d left his anxiety medication when he’d left Earth, and never looked back. He didn’t even think about it until weeks later, when the excitement had mostly settled.
And he was fine, he was fine (fine enough), until now. Keith was gone. The missions were more serious now. He took things more seriously now.
So he worried, worried, worried so much.
(Keith left for the Blades of Marmora, leaving Lance with deteriorating mental health. He hides how he’s feeling from the team. When Keith returns, he becomes Lance’s lifeline)
