Chapter Text
Author note: warning, this chapter is gonna talk about sexual topics, if it makes you uncomfortable don't read it
*It was the next day after the last chapter, and we see Pyrrha getting one of her wishes coming true. After she became champion her old friends stopped inviting her to do stuff like this, to hang out, and just try out clothes for the heck of it. But right now? Pyrrha walked out of the dressing room and gave herself a twirl for her friends to see and judge the new outfit she had picked for the audition.*
Pyrrha: What do you think of this one?
Blake: I don't know Pyrrha, I liked the eighth one but the sleeves were a little much. What do you think Nora?
*Blake asked as she looked at Nora who was busy ogling the mule boy, aka Ren that she had made wear a collar and she had the rope. Nora turned her head and looked at Pyrrha telling her to give her another spin. Pyrrha did so with a happy smile as she showed what she was working with, she gave a small glance to Jaune, hoping that he appreciated what God and an ungodly amount of workout and dieting had given her. Unfortunately for her, Jaune was busy trying and failing to flirt with Weiss. Nora gave a serious nod as she shared her opinion on the outfit.*
Nora: Hm.. the sleeves were a little much but I found them cute. Although I liked the shoes with the third one. They were nice.
Pyrrha: You think so? What about you Ruby?
*Pyrrha asked as she looked at Ruby, who was busy looking at herself in the mirror with a shirt she thought was cute in front of her. It was surprising to see. Not Ruby trying out a dress no, that's the whole reason why they were here, but the fact that Yang wasn't hovering next to Ruby, instead she was in the corner chair next to Blake. Ruby turned her head and looked at Pyrrha, pursing her lips a little as she thought about what would look best for Pyrrha, the outfit she had now was fine, but it just didn't scream "Pyrrha Nikos."*
Ruby: Maybe. Maybe if you take the accessories you planned with the fifth one and combine them with the shoes of the third one they could work quite well.
Pyrrha: ok, I'll try them out.
*Pyrrha said with a very happy smile as she turned around and almost skipped inside the dressing room to try the combination that Ruby suggested. This really was just the best day for the invincible girl, since she was feeling a lot less "invincible" and a whole lot more "girl" and Pyrrha loved it. Back to the outside, Ruby at the end decided against the shirt, it was a little too short for her taste, her belly button would show if she lifted her arms a little. She concentrated on her two teammates and spoke to them.*
Ruby: What about the two of you? See anything you may like?
Blake: Yes. I got myself this nice little black dress, it's perfect to go clubbing with Yang tonight.
* Blake said as she showed the dress to Ruby, Ruby nodded as she looked at the backless dress, which would definitely bring attention to Blake's toned back. The introvert might spend a lot of time reading, but she definitely wasn't lazy as many may think because of her cat genes in her DNA. No, she worked out just as much as the rest of them. Ruby started to look for another shirt that struck her fancy, while having this conversation, going to a club on a Saturday was cutting it close, but as long as they were fine on Monday then Ruby didn't care.*
Ruby: clubbing on a Saturday? Personally, I would've gone yesterday but to each their own I guess.
Yang: Wait. What do you mean by that? You're underage.
*Yang suddenly asked, finding her voice. Ruby didn't even spare her a glance, which made Yang frown a little at the action or lack thereof. But Ruby didn't much care, Yang had been ignoring her for the last week, no shit Ruby was gonna be petty and ignore her right back, until she heard an apology. But since they were all in a group, Ruby did respond to Yang so as not to create any tension between these groups. This day meant a lot to Pyrrha and she wouldn't be the one to ruin it.*
Ruby: The age for clubs is 21, so last time I checked so are Blake and you Yang.
Yang: Ok, but like you're more underage than us.
*Yang said as a pathetically weak excuse, feeling a bashful blush grow on her face for being called out like that. So ok, they are all too young to go to a club and they have fake ID cards to get in. But that's different, they were all older than Ruby, Ruby was just a kid, her brain was still developing, she shouldn't go to any club period, in Yang's very correct opinion. Ruby shrugged as she grabbed a shirt that had a cute horse print on it, it wasn't her style, but Pyrrha might appreciate it.*
Ruby: By a couple of months sure, but it's not like I'm 15 or something, I can have fun in a club just like anybody else.
Blake: Really? Then is this a way of making us include you?
*Blake asked with a bit of a tease in her tone, watching Ruby come back to them and putting a shirt with a horse print on the pile of clothes that Pyrrha had yet to try out. In the background, Jaune paled seeing somebody adding to the pile of clothes, they've been here for hours, he looked at Ren for some support, but Ren was gone. His body might be here, but his brain was dissociating from his body. Back to Ruby she shook her head and kept looking, she found some nice shoes, a pair of 2 of heels, and some pants, but she was missing a good shirt or maybe a nice blouse.*
Ruby: No. Besides, I'll be otherwise unavailable, with studies, workouts, and my sleep schedule. If this invite had been on time, then I could've moved some things around and joined you, girls. But since it's last-minute, I simply must decline.
Nora: Fine, more party for us!
*Nora said with a big grin as she looked at the outfit she picked for tonight, unlike Blake, Nora went with some pants, a shirt, a jacket, and some shoes instead of the high heels of Blake. Nobody but Ruby saw Yang becoming uncomfortable, for what reasons Ruby didn't really know, and she cared even less so she kept the conversation going with her teammates. Having some fun is ok, it's good, since sometimes you just need a break from work and just have a night out the town. But everything in moderation.*
Ruby: party with restrictions. If I find out you all cause a disturbance or something crossing the line of decency those in my team will be appropriately punished.
Blake: That's fair. But next time we'll be sure to include you.
*Blake said with a nod, she would like to see what her partner is like in a club. Ruby nodded, she's sure it'll be some fun nights, but for now, she kept searching for that elusive final outfit pick that Ruby knows is somewhere here. In the background with Yang, she was still frowning, not because her little sister was going to a club and it wouldn't be her first time, though that part does upset her. But the fact that she realized that Ruby is so organized, because of the autism. But of course, Weiss had to interrupt everything by saying her opinion.*
Weiss: Excuse me? We are all underage, none of us should be in a club in the first place.
Ruby: If that's you're opinion then that's your opinion, but I'm not gonna force my team not to have fun, unless they give me a reason to make them stop. For the moment they haven't, clubbing hasn't affected their grades or performance so I see no reason to ban them from having a good time on the weekend.
*Ruby said with a shrug, since Ruby wasn't strict and critical, only to herself since Ruby is a perfectionist, she always strives to be better than the Ruby of yesterday. But for the rest of her team? Ruby is willing to be a lot more lenient, since they have all shown they are responsible enough to be allowed some freedoms. Well at least Blake and Pyrrha, but Ren keeps an eye on Nora so Ruby lets it slide. Weiss who acted like a boss even though she was nothing but a teammate, not a boss, and definitely not a leader, crossed her arms and spoke harsher than what some people in that room liked to hear.*
Weiss: Of course you wouldn't, I wouldn't be surprised if you had a body count a mile wide.
Yang: Hey, don't you say that about my sister, you should be thankful that we even included you in this.
*Yang said in a glare and her words came out harsher than Weiss's words. Ruby remained calm as always, but internally she was a little annoyed that Yang interfered, for the wrong reasons, since Ruby knew that Yang only said something because Ruby had autism and now she's started to think that she needed help with everything, even defending herself in her stance of things. Ruby still refused to look at Yang as she kept looking Weiss in the eyes keeping up her prolonged eye contact.*
Ruby: Yang, I appreciate the concern, but I can fight my own battles. And Weiss you are correct that I do have a body count, but I wouldn't call 2 a mile wide.
Yang: yeah 2 is not... wait... the fuck you mean 2? You've had... relations with people?
*Yang asked in a shocked tone as she looked at Ruby's emotionless face for a response. Yang wasn't the only one who was in a state of shock, all the other girls were as well, hell it was such a shocking admission that it made Ren come back to the real world and look at the leader of Nora surprised. Ruby feeling all the eyes on her kept talking, seeing no reason to lie about something so natural. Yes. She had sex. She was not a virgin flower and that was ok.*
Ruby: Before leaving my island to come to Beacon yes. It was a matter of safety.
Pyrrha: Safety? How is having sex a matter of safety?
*Pyrrha asked behind the curtains separating the changing rooms from the rest of the store. Ruby closed her eyes and heard a different tone from what was essentially the same question. With yang, there was anger, accusation, judgment, mixed with overprotectiveness in her words. With Pyrrha, there was no judgment, her words were soft spoken but firm, they were a question of curiosity, not a demand or accusation. So Ruby moved her head and instead of looking at Yang who is the person who has the most to say about this topic, Ruby looked at the curtain as if she was looking at Pyrrha and responded to her.*
Ruby: Because better to do it in a safe controlled environment than risk having it taken by you by force. Mother wanted to make sure my first time would be under control, instead of the worst happening to me outside the island.
Yang: That's insane.
*Yang said softly, but again it was so different from when Pyrrha spoke in a soft tone. There was a sharpness to Yang's words, like a sleeping dragon that was waking up and realizing that somebody had come and stolen some of their treasure. Not a lot of it, but definitely the dragon's favorite piece of its collection. Ruby hummed, as she went to look for the final piece of her outfit, giving everybody here a reminder of the truth. It was a dark world and those who made it so dark are the ones in charge.*
Ruby: There was a report not 2 days ago of a woman being assaulted by some degenerate. It's not insane. It's insurance. It was to make sure my first time wouldn't be a traumatizing experience.
Nora: So the youngest of us is the only one with a body count?
*Nora asked leaning more towards Pyrrha's tone of voice than Yang's. Since there was no accusation in her tone, there was no judgment, just a question that sounded more like a statement. Which surprised Ruby a little, she would've surmised that Nora and Ren had already crossed that line with each other, but apparently, they still haven't done everything together. Oh well. Not like it bothered Ruby to see that she was the only one here with experience in this group, better to have it than to be forced to learn and never forget it.*
Ruby: I wouldn't say it like that. But unless anybody here wants to admit that they're not as pure as they claim, then I guess so.
Yang: I mean. I'm not a prude, but the most I've done is some hand and mouth stuff. I still don't like this. You shouldn't have done that so young.
*Yang said as she stood up and started to walk to Ruby, but Ruby took steps back acting like she saw a shirt that she liked, when in reality she didn't want Yang close right now, until she heard those words that she is owed. Also even if it sounds cruel, Ruby doesn't really care if Yang doesn't like that fact, it happened, Ruby took it and she doesn't regret it. Those were important memories for the other female blonde of the group, she will not be ashamed of them, since at least her first time was something that she chose to give instead of somebody taking it by force.*
Ruby: better that it was done now, than
Yang: Yes. Yes. The risk of somebody forcing themselves on you, but like... come on, you can't tell me that doesn't sound insane.
*Yang said as she couldn't properly explain why what Ruby did was a horrible choice, she was too emotional to talk rationally, and her mind was filled with different thoughts about what she just heard, how could Raven allow this? Did she allow this? If she didn't know how poor a caretaker she was that she allowed Ruby to do this under her nose. Yang was so emotional right now that she forgot the part where Ruby said that it was Raven's idea. Ruby shrugged, as she fought for her side of things, since her first time couldn't have been done better.*
Ruby: I did it in a safe environment, in a location I felt secure, with people I trusted. Which part of that is insane?
Pyrrha: Well, while I have never done anything, past hand holding, so I have no room to judge, but it does seem that Ruby and uh, her mother went through with this prepared.
*Pyrrha said behind the changing room curtain, with her hand on her heart the idea of doing that, of giving herself to somebody she trusted, it was enough to make her cheeks flushed since you can take a guess who she would like to give that piece of herself to. Ruby for her part nodded and finally looked at Yang, giving her a sharp look before Yang ruins this day for Pyrrha by screaming something like "that bitch is not her mother!!"*
Ruby: Yang don't ruin this by saying it. And yeah, we did. We talked a lot before and after, and it's even how I found out that I was a lesbian. While having sex with a male partner was.... fine. Doing it with a female partner was a lot more pleasurable, and made me climax a whole lot harder.
Weiss: This is disgusting, why are we even having this vulgar conversation?
* Weiss said with a tone of disgust that they were even having this conversation in the first place. The barbarian is also a sexual deviant, in other breaking news the sky turned out to be blue because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. Weiss isn't even surprised that a barbaric thief has so few morals and so little respect for herself. Ruby moved her gaze away from Yang who was pursing her lips tightly and with her arm crossed and then looked at Weiss without any emotional expression on her face.*
Ruby: Vulgar? There is nothing vulgar about something so natural in the human experience. Sex isn't something to be ashamed of.
Yang: Tell that to those "YouTube bros"
*Yang said with a roll of her eyes. Ruby knew who Yang was referring to, those red pill weak-willed men who need the validation of a sex trafficker because they were never loved as children and now they are making that everybody's problem. Ruby hates those people, since they're so weak that they blame everything on everybody else and never really look inward to the real problem since their too much of a crying baby to admit that maybe the problem is them. Ejem. Safe to say Ruby has some opinion on those people.*
Ruby: With pleasure. That always bothered me. If a man sleeps around he's a player and the woman should accept that he has a big body count. But if it's the other way around? The woman is called a slut, a whore, and many other names in the book, and is viewed as undesirable. How is that fair?
Weiss: simple, because it's our responsibility to be responsible with what we give to the world.
*Weiss said and then she felt everybody's eyes on her including the worker who was putting the clothes they weren't gonna buy back on the rack. All of them were looking at Weiss as if she had said something absolutely stupid. In Ruby's opinion, it was stupid and harmful, since let's see if Ruby understood, it's their responsibility to watch what they wear, act, speak, and to always save themselves, but the guy? In Weiss's logic, they were free to get away with it because what? That's just the way things are and it's the woman's fault for wearing something a little revealing? Ruby didn't like that.*
Ruby: No. It's a double standard. In my opinion, as long as both parties are free from disease, the number shouldn't matter.
Weiss: That may be you're opinion but it's not society's opinion.
*Weiss said with a roll of her eyes, she wasn't surprised that the barbarian didn't understand, how could she when how low class she and people like her are. Ruby rolled her eyes and showed some emotion on her face, she showed annoyance. Since it's her fault she dresses this way, right? It's not the fault of the parents who never taught their children to respect women, it's not the fault of the men in power who feel like they can get away with it all since they built the perfect system to get away with it and make the victim feel like she's at fault, Weiss's mother is the perfect example of that. If that were society, then just like when Jack Sparrow freed the slaves from that ship and got branded with the letter P for pirate, Ruby would rather be a violent barbarian any day of the week just like Jack sparrow would rather be a pirate any day of the week than giving into his society's expectation that people are just a different type of cargo.*
Ruby: Right, like society is never wrong. You can judge me as much as you want, I'm not gonna be ashamed that I gave my first time away when I felt I was ready and I knew I would be safe and could go at my own pace. Nobody is gonna make me ashamed of that.
Later
*It was nighttime, the 2 teams minus Ruby were out in the town having a good time and enjoying their youth. Ruby was in her home, a cup of tea in front of her with a small sandwich as a snack, and a book in her hands. While her team gets their chance to get rid of their stress, Ruby was spending her night studying and getting ready for the exams that are to come. Or she would he if somebody wasn't knocking on her door so loudly if she had neighbors they would be bothered. With a deep breath, Ruby stood up from the couch and walked to the door, opening it and seeing who was interrupting her schedule.*
Ruby: Mrs. Rose. Mrs. Goodwitch. Is there a reason you're knocking on my door so loudly this time of night?
Summer: Don't you dare act like you don't know why we're here Missy! You are in a lot of trouble!
*Summer yelled, her face flushed with anger as she looked down at the girl who never showed emotion. Ruby slowly blinked and then turned her gaze to Glynda, since unlike Summer who looked like she was ready to give the punishment of a lifetime, Glynda looked calm and professional. Which works just fine for Ruby, Ruby prefers to speak with Glynda anyway.*
Ruby: Uhu. Mrs. Goodwitch, care to be the adult in the room?
Glynda: Yang told Summer about you're... activities, and we just wish to have a conversation.
*Glynda said in a calm tone, as she held the collar of Summer's shirt before she walked into Ruby's home uninvited. Ruby already had such a little amount of a relationship with Ruby, she didn't need to make it worse by invading the girl's privacy without permission. Ruby gave a slow nod to her head, having a good idea of what this was referring to. Apparently, Yang's favorite character in Red Dead Redemption 2 is Micah since she's a rat just like him. Honestly, does she not understand the meaning of a private conversation?*
Summer: a conversation?! Oh. No. No. No. We are far past that!
Glynda: As you can see, I'm here to keep her in check. May we come in?
*Glynda asked Ruby in a calm and respectful tone, to show Ruby that she respects her and the dignity of her home enough to ask permission even if as teachers the two of them could come in uninvited, if they had a good reason. Ruby sighed, knowing that she should pick her battles, and she guessed this was the battle that she'll be taking. Ruby moved to the side and allowed the two older women inside.*
Ruby: Very well. I just made some tea. Let me get you both a cup and something to snack on, while you get Mrs. Rose to calm down and collect her thoughts.
