   By midnight, Keith was still there. Silence palpable as he took in the last of Lance’s words. Food long forgotten. Gone cold in the chill of the air-con.

   Just as the silence was about to turn deafening, Keith leaned forward. Breaking it with just six words, swallowing hard.
