Work Text:
Minnie takes the last sip of the however manieth drink she's on and puts it on the coffee table. She's drunk. They all are.
The kind of drunk where the lines between friendly touches and actual intimacy get blurred. The kind of drunk where people don't hide that they're lonely and desperately want to be touched. The kind of drunk where your friends either don't notice or don't care that you're getting to second base with Miyeon on the same couch as them.
Yuqi notices, but doesn't waver. "Do you feel good, Miyeon?"
"Minnie feels good. Everything else... eh."
Yuqi closes her eyes and lays her head back, humming softly. Minnie doubts she'd mind anything.
She moves her hand down Miyeon's stomach and thumbs at the edge of her underwear. Miyeon's hand impatiently takes hers and pushes it under. Minnie doesn't need to be told anything.
You can hear everything with no music on: fabric against fabric, fingers against wet skin and Miyeon's amateuristically stifled heavy breathing. It all gets slightly louder every second, encouraging Minnie to move faster, to make more sound. Until it suddenly stops.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Minnie pulls her hand out and pokes Miyeon's face with it a few times for a response. "Hmm... She passed out."
"Oh... Well, better luck next time." Yuqi gives an empty laugh.
Minnie lazily licks her fingers in defeat and lets them rest on Miyeon's stomach.
And maybe Minnie was just a bit envious of Miyeon. She got to give into her feelings and then dip from this world again. What Minnie wouldn't give to be able to pass out at will, to skip over everything she was feeling and wake up with things being okay again; with her feeling genuinely happy; with her friends beaming from the highs of life;
with Soojin there with them.
Minnie reached for Yuqi's half-empty glass and downed it. The world wasn't going to change for her and she couldn't leave. The closest she could get to escaping was blurring her vision even more, hoping reality could completely fade away, at least for this moment.
