Summary
A few years following the marriage and coronation of their Royal Highnesses, Mr. and Mrs. Shrek. (Frog dad is canonically dead; his wife moved to the DreamWorks version of Cabo San Lucas to get some sun and enjoy her retirement, idfk.) What was meant to be a happily ever after has turned out to be a lot more complicated than that, and Shrek and Fiona are forced to navigate neglect, betrayal, and manipulation by nefarious forces keen on witnessing their downfall. As love interests, new and old, enter the fray, and well-kept secrets begin to unfold, the stakes grow high enough to put the entire kingdom of Far Far Away at risk of collapse. Will our chartreuse champions overcome these trials and tribulations, or are they doomed to sink down to the muddy depths of despair? (ew, I can't believe I wrote that. it stays.)
