   Aslan said not a word. The majestic, wise lion had nothing else to impart in that moment, his presence no longer needed, and left the King to mourn what could have been, the love of his life.

   Or in other words,
   Edmund returned to Narnia, filling Caspian with an immense feeling of happiness that they get married right away. Of course, not everything is as it seems.
