Summary
After the Telmarine war, the Pevensies stay in Narnia to help rebuild—but the magic of the land has its own ideas.
The newly awakened trees take one look at Peter and promptly adopt him as their favorite former king, showering him with leafy crowns, overprotective rustling, and relentless affection.
Unfortunately for Peter’s dignity, the trees also develop a very specific rule:
whenever he feels even a flicker of sadness, they must fetch Caspian.
Immediately.
This leads to Caspian being dragged out of meetings, guided through hallways, and occasionally dropped directly in front of a very confused, very flustered Peter… much to everyone’s amusement.
While Peter struggles to understand his place in this new era, and Caspian tries to stop being magically kidnapped on a daily basis, the trees remain delighted with themselves.
After all—Narnia knows what its High King needs…
even if Peter absolutely does not. -

Summary
“Caspian,” Peter says, and it comes out softer than he plans. Caspian startles lightly, nearly shies away like his own steed before realizing it’s only Peter beside him. Immediately, his tension eases. Destrier settles. The hollow in Peter fills.
“Yes?” Caspian asks. The slanting afternoon sunlight renders his eyes to gold. A petal from the fistfuls the cheering crowds threw into their path is caught in the ends of his hair, and his crown is still askew.
Without really meaning to, Peter reaches up and nudges it carefully back into place with the very tips of his fingers. Caspian is utterly still under his touch, eyes wide as he stares at Peter, and probably at least one of Peter’s siblings is watching them right now, but Peter finds he doesn’t care.
“Your crown was crooked,” Peter tells him, and brushes a stray strand of Caspian’s hair from his face as he lets his hand fall away, because he is suddenly more than a little bold.
(or, peter’s never been very good about letting people in, but he’s trying. he is.)

Summary
Aslan said not a word. The majestic, wise lion had nothing else to impart in that moment, his presence no longer needed, and left the King to mourn what could have been, the love of his life.
Or in other words,
Edmund returned to Narnia, filling Caspian with an immense feeling of happiness that they get married right away. Of course, not everything is as it seems. -

Summary
“Your hands. They’ve been shaking since you fought my uncle.” Caspian isn’t sure why he feels out of place pointing it out. He doesn’t expect Peter to snap at him like he used to, but just because he isn’t as volatile doesn’t mean that he and Caspian are friends now. Caspian is painfully aware of that.
“Oh,” Peter says after a long moment. He doesn’t seem too bothered by the fact. “I hadn’t noticed.”
“I did,” Caspian says plainly, then regrets it immediately. He cringes a bit at his words, then speaks again. “Are you alright?” is what he decides on.

Summary
“My uncle sent soldiers to kill me in my sleep. It is…difficult,” Caspian admits, brushing his thumb across the skin of Peter’s inner wrist, feeling him jump and shudder faintly, “to sleep there. When I remember.”
“You’re going to have to eventually,” Peter says, because even now it seems he retains his irritating habit of saying inconveniently truthful things, things Caspian wishes not to confront on his own. It’s another one of the things Caspian misses about him, along with his courage, his insight, his smile.
“I know,” he whispers, because he does. “But this is a dream.”

Summary
“What are you doing here?”
Peter tilts his head, a tenseness filling his body, as if going into a defensive stance.
“What do you mean?”
Caspian fights the urge to laugh. “What do you think I mean? You left, Peter. All of you. Susan said you were never coming back.”
—
The day after the Pevensies leave Narnia, Caspian wakes to find them back, with no one but him remembering what has happened. The day ends, and it happens again, and again, leaving Caspian alone and desperately seeking answers—and a way to escape the cycle for good.

Summary
It has been nine months since they returned to their world and Caspian has not been the same since. Even knowing he has the love and support of the Narnians ruling alone has been painfully lonely in a way he had only just started hoping he could be rid of. The wardrobe had been a desperate bid, one he expected nothing from after Aslan’s decree, still he wouldn’t have been able to forgive himself or move on if he hadn’t tried. But something must have changed because one moment he was stumbling through trees and the next he was tangled up in coats as he fell right through the doors and into a strange wooden room.
He hardly believed it could be real until the housekeeper had stumbled upon him screaming.

Summary
The vision of Caspian on his knees, kissing his groin and tasting the sweat dripping from his inner thighs, made Peter feel like the luckiest man in all Narnia. Right in front of him, there was the most divine creature he had ever met, with golden, tanned skin, raven hair falling over his face like a black, silky veil, and eyes dark as the vast night sky.
"And he's all mine" Peter heard an angel choir singing from afar, echoing that one single thought flowing through his mind "All mine".

Summary
Caspian squeezes his eyes shut but the tears escape anyways, hot and wet on his cheeks as his chest shudders, the tightness making it impossible to breathe properly. Both Susan and Edmund's hands settle on his shoulders but he can’t tear his eyes away from the uneven rise and fall of Peter’s chest, his eyes closed. The lack of response makes it feel terribly like he’s losing him already.

Summary
“Turn out the lights,” Peter groans.
“I’m afraid the sun is beyond my ability to command,” Caspian replies. Peter endeavors, rather sloppily, to take the blankets back. He frowns. “Are you all right? How much wine did you have last night?”
Peter glares half-heartedly out from under his crooked arm, squinting with his entire face against the morning light.
“Less than you,” he rasps, “because you got carried away with the Dwarves like I told you not to, and then Your Majesty saw fit to throw up nothing but lager twice on the walk back.”
“Oh,” says Caspian, recalling this with a wince, “yes. I suppose I did.”

Summary
You are crowned in a grassy field just north of the river Beruna, wide and open to make way for the centaurs, trees, naiads, and other creatures not so fond of the idea of “indoors”. You have no stone podium yet, no throne to sit upon unmarred by the seat of traitors and the blood of what have become your people, only a grassy knoll speckled with bright wildflowers.
