Suzie finally convinced her family to let her visit Hawkins. It took a lot of begging and some lies she’ll have to repent for later, but she did it.
When she arrived, Dustin greeted her with a hug and what she likes to call a very romantic kiss. He then insisted she go meet his friends. She didn’t have the heart to tell him she’s already met Mike and Will a year back.
They quickly went over to the wheelers.
“Why doesn’t everyone go to your house to meet up?” She asked confused.
“Mike’s basement is like the hangout spot for The Party.” Dustin summed up with a shrug.
“Oh, okay.” She said, still being a little confused, but then again she knew something crazy always happens here which means it would make sense to have a designated spot to all join up at.
Once they made it to the Wheelers, she was surprised to see dustin just walk in and down into the basement without so much as a hello to who she assumed to be Mike’s parents. She waved a small wave to them, but followed the boy without a word. She was confused that they didn’t ask who she was, having been a stranger walking into their home.
“Guys! This is Suzie!” Dustin said as he entered the basement.
Suzie was surprised to see so many people down there. She guessed it was because she was visiting and they wanted to meet her, but she didn’t expect there to be so many of them.
“Hey! I’ve heard a lot about you! I’m Max.” The redhead said with a smirk.
“All good things I hope.” Suzie replied nervously.
“With how Dustin has been praising you, I’m glad we finally get to meet you. I’m Lucas!” Lucas said with a smile from where he sat next to Max, making sure to introduce himself.
Dustin then went around introducing everyone else to her so she could know their names.
When he got to Eleven, she gasped loudly.
Everyone turned to look at her in surprise.
“Oh my god! You look just like Will! Are you guys twins?!” Suzie said in astonishment.
Mike froze, turning to look at Will before quickly looking away, face going hot. How had he never noticed the similarities before?! Everyone else’s eyes widened with recognition, having also not realized it before, but now they can’t unsee it.
“He is my brother, but we are not twins.”Eleven said with a smile, happy she looks like Will, even though she’s not biologically his sibling.
“That’s amazing! You guys look almost identical, only you’re like the female version of him.” Suzie said.
“Before they found me, a lot of people in town thought I was him while he was missing.” Eleven said, forgetting Suzie wouldn’t understand.
Mike thought he was going to melt with how embarrassingly stupid he felt. How had he not noticed? Is that why his attraction seemed to fade when she started growing out her hair?
Is he attracted to Will?! Mike wished the floor would open up underneath him and swallow him whole.
Robin, on the other hand, was a smiling mess, seemingly knowing something the others hadn’t caught onto yet. Steve nudged her, whispering, “have I missed something?”
Robin shot him a ‘you’re an idiot’ look before motioning to the reddened Mike and flustered Will, who of which were both making it a point not to glance at the other.
Comprehension dawned onto Steve’s face as his own smirk formed. He felt dumb for never noticing something between them. It was so obvious now. He wonders if the others had ever noticed.
