Summary
Brotherhood is a two-part fantasy about two immortal brothers, Waltheri and Baldor, who reincarnate as human infants-stripped of their memories-until reaching the age they were once frozen at: 22 and 26. And why reincarnations? I got inspired mostly by Doctor Who in this aspect-I just loved the idea that I could explore many eras with the characters.
And this time, Waltheri was born in modern-day Prague as Lukas, and Baldor in Helsinki as Cyrill. They are hybrids of many creatures as they were reborn in many families that were not always human.
In Part 1, Waltheri's awakening fails, leaving him vulnerable, unaware of incoming threats. The story is opened by Mia, Waltheri's flatmate, who narrates both the beginning and the end of the story.
In Part 2, the brothers face new challenges. It's about family, y'all and all the angst you can get. What unfolds is a journey of forgiveness, memory, and belonging, as a found family begins to take shape across lifetimes.
