Summary
Fog, sea, and lightning close around a brutal fight between Kyryll, a lightkeeper bound to the lantern's flame, and Rerir, the abyssal sinner whose heart fragments burn inside it. Drawn by that shared tether, Rerir comes through the wreckage and fog to reclaim what was taken, wearing Kyryll’s shape before breaking it apart. Every strike feels like drowning, every breath like a stolen reprieve, yet Kyryll refuses to yield the light. When Rerir tears the lantern from him, a lightning strike from the lighthouse surges through the glass, searing both fae and sinner. The explosion of power drives Rerir back into the fog, half undone but unbroken. Kyryll is left bloodied and shaking on the shore, clutching the dimming lantern that holds both their hearts, knowing the bond still burns and that Rerir will return.
