Ahsoka was walking towards her chambers in the Jedi Temple after a math class when she heard someone ask her a question.
“You’re Ahsoka, right? Ahsoka Tano?” a voice asked behind her.
She turned around and saw a tall man twice her height—she hated how small she was. “Yeah, that’s me,” she replied.
“Good,” the man replied, picked her up, and started to carry her towards the Temple’s living quarters that masters shared with their Padawan.
‘What the hell is going on?’ she wondered. “Who are you? What are you doing?”
“I’m Anakin Skywalker, and I’m choosing you as my Padawan,” he replied with a fond smile.
“Aren’t you a Padawan?” she frowned, thinking about the Padawan Braid she clearly saw him have. As much as she would absolutely love having the Chosen One as her Master—and having quite a crush on him, but to be fair, there was no hot blooded (nor cold blooded) female who didn’t have one—, she couldn’t help but point that problem out.
“Don’t worry,” he reassured her, “I’ll get knighted at the end of the week. You’ll have a Master who still has all his limbs.”
‘Why is he saying that? Are some people in the Order looking forward to being trained by a Master who has neither arms nor legs? Is there even a crippled Master I’ve never heard about?’ she wondered. “How do you know?”
“Call it intuition,” he answered. “Now, we need to find you an armour instead of how you’re currently dressed. We can’t have you suffer from a preventable injury during the war.”
“What war? There’s no war, is there?” she asked worriedly. Had she missed something on the HoloNet?
“Don’t worry about it. Are you okay with a black and silver armour with a cape? This way you’ll look like me. And before you ask, yes, I’ll have your markings put on your armour,” he told her while entering an empty room, before dropping her on the couch.
She pinched herself. She wasn’t dreaming. “Of course I want to match with you!” she exclaimed.
“Perfect,” he beamed at her. “Bring your stuff here while I’m away. I’ll be assigned to protect my wi— a senator in a few hours,” he instructed her, making his way towards the exit.
“Yes Master,” she bowed. When the door closed behind him, she pinched herself again. The pain confirmed that she wasn’t making this up.
She squeaked in joy. To be picked by the Chosen One to become his Padawan before he even became a Knight? The other girls were going to be so jealous!
