Wemmbu takes a deep breath that wracks his body. Damn, he is in even worse shape than he had thought. As the adrenaline wears off, he starts to feel the pain from all his injuries and a burning in all his limbs from being pushed far beyond their limits. “Flame… I can’t,” he finally says quietly, forcing himself to make eye contact and smile weakly.
Flame stops and tilts his head down. “What do you mean, you can’t?”
Wemmbu swallows, which hurts. “I’m out of resources, Flame. I have nothing.”
