12:08 PM.
Cutting to Yang, she is currently wondering around the island to look for her sister or anyone but all she found was vegetation such as trees, bushes, etc and some rocky terrains. She even went as far as raising her voice to call out for anyone while ignoring the consequences of doing so.
Yang: "Hello, anyone there ? If this was a game of Hide & Seek, you guys are really good at it." But there was no sound of any human except for birds chirping and a gentle breeze.
Yang: "Ughhh, I'm so bored. I've been walking for so long and I found nothing. Well, I've got no choice but to do this."
Raises the volume of her voice then she originally did.
Yang: "Ruby, Gary, Tina, Eddie, I'm over here, can one of you you hear me ? Talk back if you can."
This change in volume proved to be effective as the blond woman heard some rustling from behind the trees at her left side. She was expecting someone behind the shadow of the trees however this proved to be false as she heard some large thumping from the ground and when the source revealed itself, Yang eyes widened as she recognizes the dark creatures in front of her.
It showed two giant silhouettes standing at around 9 feet, with grotesque facial features, abnormal anatomies and large weapons with each one of them carrying a single tool used for heavy melee. One was using a log with a pointed tip and the other used a similar trunk in size except it had sharp branches as if it was replicating a mace. These beings were called Ogres and just like the Barghest they were black in colour with some traces of white across their heads and had red eyes. Even though there were some details that made them slightly different from each other such as teeth placement and size of heads they were still dangerous as despite having lower levels of intelligence they are identified as one of the Brute class in the nation.
Yang: "Sorry to bother you guys but have you seen my sister and one of my friends around, we're in a an entrance test and I would really need your help for directions."
But instead of an answer one of the ogres charged at her by swinging his mace-like while roaring with a deep voice but the blonde dodged its attacks and then did a back flip to create distance between them.
Yang: "Jeez, you don't have to get aggressive you could have just asked point me to the directions and I would have..." However this was interrupted as she saw a few strands of yellow hair floating down to the ground and it was no mistake it was from her own (since she's the only one in the area with blonde hair). This sight unleashed a beast underneath the woman with her lilac eyes turning eyes turning red, her gauntlets fully activating by covering her forearms and a whole different personality.
Yang: "You piece of SHIT ! I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THAT !"
With this battle cry, she rushed to the brute that caused it. During so, she dodged its mace again but when she came in close proximity a horde a punches was unleashed on to the stomach area followed by explosions on contact that were more powerful than the ones she previously used to maneuver her landing while falling causing it to do more damage while leaving burn marks. 7 seconds later, she delivered the final blow and with it, the body flew in a straight line with the back-side receiving the damage by destroying tree trunks along the way thus covering a range of 73 meters ultimately killing it. The other ogre roared at the aggressor but it didn't do anything.
Yang: "You want a piece of me, huh ?!"
Shortly after this question, the other beast tried to attack by charging with its pointed trunk like a battling ram but before doing so. *Shlit* A blade pierced the backside of its mouth and it continued to split its upper area till it left. When it came down, the person who did this was Blake shaking her weapon to remove any essence of the monster she slaid. While so, Yang was still in her rage mode until she remembered an advice her parents gave and in doing so she took a few deep breathes while shifting her thoughts to something more calmer. After a while, her eyes turned back to lilac with her body posed in a less aggressive manner and her mood returning back to normal.
Upon both of their eyes meeting. Yang was the first to respond.
Yang: "You know I could have taken care of it."
But the bow wearing woman had doubts as she saw the destruction committed by the brawler by leaning her head to the left side.
Blake: "Uh huh ?"
12:10 PM. Back at Unst island where Beacon Academy is located.
??????: "(Takes a deep breath) Okay let's go, time to prove myself."
As the last launch proceeded, the curly haired person soared across the secondary island and when his body was approaching the soil his gauntlets activated as it turned into a large pavise shield by combining both gloves as one and used it to reduce the impact and landed in a small open area. Shortly after, the wielder was okay and his gloves returned to normal in the form of hand pavises for each arms. However, he was still anxious due to the present dangers.
??????: "Just think happy thoughts, just think happy thoughts. Okay, all I have to do is find a partner, support him or her, find a relic and complete the trial. Yeah, that should be easy, I guess."
Among the thick vegetation, a Barghest appeared and was ready to strike the human in front of its sight. And when it did, it ran with great speed and was about to unleash its jaws to rip the flesh of the prey from behind but luckily he fought back by deflecting its jaw in just a short time with his right gauntlet while turning around.
??????: "Oh my goodness ! I did that, right ? I'm starting to think these are not as scary as I thought. Okay, lets do this."
With this new found confidence, he was ready to take out the beast in front of him. Even though he was still slightly shaking, he stood his place and was preparing to use the spikes that were already implanted on both shields for offense capabilities.
The monster he deflected earlier stood back up on its feet and was now more determined to rip him apart. It started barking loudly but the sound wasn't anything like a dog as it sounded something more demonic. As it rushed again, it tried to jump with a great distance but was halted as the momentum was interrupted since the head made an impact to the left pavise as it expanded its length along with a bit of width. However, the black canine didn't retreat as it continued ravaging the shield with its claws while banging its head against the metal. While doing so, the shield barrier took this opportunity and proceeded to stab it multiple times with the spike from his other shield to the left side causing it to have injuries with multiple holes at its left side. Shortly after, the Barghest took a few steps and tried to deal the wounds but it proved to be its biggest mistake as its head was stabbed in both sides with great force thus killing it.
??????: "Yes, Yes I did it ! My first kill. Wow, that felt good. Maybe I need to improve some things, more specifically my fighting style."
However, this short victory was interrupted as multiple black dogs started appearing out of the vegetation with their target located in their eyes.
??????: "Oh no no no no, I forgot. Barghests travel in groups. I need to run now."
While starting to take action, the curly hair person starting sprinting in the opposite direction of the the pack and into the forest with large tress. Using, the available path, he attempted to maneuver around the trunks as an attempt to lose his pursuers but it proved futile as they were still in trail. This went for a while with the prey being almost out of breath but all of a sudden *Thud*. Just as the chase was interrupted the one who getting pursuit turned his around to the left side to see the source of the noise and what he found not only took his mind off the chase but so did the Barghests as they were distracted by what they saw.
They saw a person standing on top of a Barghest but it was laying down with limbs twitching and it's chest was crushed by the legs implying that he fell from a tree branch. However, the person who did it showed no sign of pain from the impact and instead took off his maroon hoodie and said this.
??: "Hey dumbasses. Didn't someone taught you that waking someone from a nap is bad manners even if you are doing it indirectly ? Oh wait, your just Grimm. Guess I don't have to feel bad about killing your friend."
While stretching his body for a short while, he took out a scimitar from the lower back of his right side and the other from his left side but it was located at the upper area next to the shoulder.
??: "(yawns) Lets make this quick."
After this, he fought the remaining pack of Barghest on his own while facing 7 of them. The person behind was thinking that he should support him but after seeing how he fights he is having second thoughts. His fighting style is described appropriately as a wolverine fighting a pack of wolves except the mustelid kills them instead of fending them off by being angry all while enduring the attacks received. Unlike an ordinary Huntsmen where they waits for the Grimm to attack, he charges at them and when in close distance he slashes them with his blades violently. While doing so, his left arm got bit while taking out another one by slicing across its face. Despite this, he endured the pain and fought back by attacking its eyes making it blind causing it to lose its grip while howling in pain. This continued on for a while but it was clear that the longer he fought the more injuries he received as blood starting flowing down from his body after getting bit and clawed many times but there wasn't any sign that he was faltering as he already took down 3 of the canines but the curly haired guy felt like he couldn't watch him get another wound as the sight of blood made him slightly tremble.
As another Grimm was about to charge at the dual blade wielder, the target was about to strike back by placing his left foot behind his body as he took a stance to give a strong kick to the head but before doing so the shield barrier interrupted the process by ramming it with his combined pavises to its left side knocking it back with a short distance. With this, both of the fighters stood back to back to avoid getting attacked from behind or any vulnerable areas. As attacks were proceeded, the Huntsmen fought back by taking out one Barghest at a time by striking them at the perfect time. This continued until the last one remained, but instead of running away it howled with great volume that can be heard in a 200 diameter but during this, the scimitar wielder rushed to it and switched to his claws in which, three long blades which sprung out of the areas in between the knuckles on each glove and stabbed them to the head to disturb the call. Even though the beast was trying to fight back he proceeded to stab it multiple times until it stopped moving.
When the scene calmed down, the light wavy haired guy did some stretching despite his injuries and when he turned around his brown eyes were met with a pair of light purple eyes and when they first made contact the latter spoke.
??: "Hey, thanks for helping me out, you okay ?"
....
??????: "I'm o-okay ? Look at you, your body is covered wounds and your bleeding, I don't think your Aura will be enough to heal these j-just give me a moment and I'll patch you up."
??: "Oh, about that...."
??????: "Just stay there and r-remain calm. It's gonna take me a while a-and...."
??: "You don't need to do anything, I can just...."
??????: "And while I'm patching you up, just stay still because it cause more blood loss along with...."
??: "Are you even listening ?"
??????: Just continued monologuing till the topic changed about his training as a healer.
??: Stares blankly at him for a while but decides to snap him out of it by kicking him in the chest with his right foot.
??????: "Oww ! What was that for, you could have just told me to stop or something that doesn't involve hitting me and then I wouldn't have...."
??: "Dude, shut up and take a look." After closing his eyes and lifted his arms he took a deep breath and shortly after maroon Aura started glowing across his body, more specifically on the injuries, and they started stitching back to its original state as if the wound never happened in the first place. And after it was done.
??????: "Wha-What was that ?! Not even Aura from inexperienced Huntsmen can heal major wounds like this."
??: "That's one of my abilities from my Semblance."
??????: "Oh. Wait, did you say one of them ?"
??: "Yeah but I'm not gonna explain it since I'm really tired." Rubs eyes with his fingers from his left hand.
??????: "But you fought these Grimm as if you were running a marathon."
??: "They ruined my nap, besides we have to leave, more Barghest are going to come here now that one of them has alerted the others."
??????: "Oh right."
??: "Gimme a second." Stretches his body again for a couple of seconds.
??: "Done, now lets leave."
??????: "Wait, I didn't get your name."
Al: "Al, you ?"
Hubert: "Hubert."
Meanwhile somewhere else....
A woman with chuck hazel eyes was wondering for quite some time with only her mızrak at her side and so far she hasn't found any people, relics or even threats ever since her first step to the island. She was wondering for a while until the sound of something alive but unnatural being in pain and it came from the right side of her side. When she approached to find the source, it had the same vegetation as she saw before except there were a couple of Barghests in front of another woman who was holding an axe with both of her hands. Upon her appearance, she doesn't show any sign of fear as instead she seems to be very serious by keeping a sharp eye on the Grimm and was prepared to strike back. When one of the beast charged at her, she swinged hard to the left side of its head and it received a nasty makeover thus killing it. Another one pursued but the tomboy reached for a pistol with her right hand and shot two rounds to each eye making it go blind and was eliminated as its head was sliced above by her her left hand but shortly after the blade was attached to body making it difficult to remove it. Unknowingly to her, one of them silently circled around to strike at the back. And when it attempted to leap....
*Shunk!*
When this sound was made the axe wielder turned her head around and saw a Barghest impaled through its chest with the blade sticking to the ground while its limbs were twitching. The person who threw the mızrak came out of hiding and asked a question.
?????: "Are you okay ? I thought I might help, since I was thinking you wouldn't have the time to react unless I stepped in." Picks up her spear from the corpse.
???????: "I'm fine. I thought I would handle that but you came in earlier. Thanks."
?????: "Lets gets rid of them and then introduce to each other, shall we ?"
???????: "At least, I finally found someone who can watch my back."
Shortly after, the duo handled the pack by eliminating them with their might and coordination one by one with their weapons in melee form. Despite this, they received minor wounds such as scratch marks but continued to fight against the beast.
As the last one fell to the ground, both fighters took a moment to breathe and rechecked their weapons. While so, the spear holder checked on the axe wielder with her chuck hazel eyes seeing a pair of deep green eyes when the woman in front of her was checking on the blades of her axe.
?????: "So, I've been meaning to ask, you shot those eyes of a Barghest perfectly, did you had any, well, training with your pistols ?"
???????: "Yep and I got the highest accuracy score out of my class."
?????: "Wow."
???????: "I know and a there are other things I'm good at nice."
Şirin: "I'm Şirin, nice to meet you."
Marcail: "Marcail, you too."
