Summary
Ethan Allen Rogner-Lane never asked to be part of Harry Potter's regularly scheduled chaos. He just wanted to survive Hogwarts, pass his classes and maybe avoid being dragged into whatever nightmare Harry tripped into that week. But when a battle with Voldemort ends with the Dark Lord recognizing Ethan by name (despite Ethan having never seen him in his life) Dumbledore decides there's only one explanation:
Ethan's past hasn't happened yet.
Armed with a Time-Turner and questionable judgement, Ethan is thrown back into the 1940's with one mission: uncover why Tom Riddle knows him. . . and stop whatever future disaster links them.
What he doesn't expect is to accidentally befriend Tom or earn his trust.
Or become the one person young Riddle can't quite figure out - Someone who refuses to fear him, be manipulated by him, or worship him.
Now Ethan must walk the razor's edge between preventing Voldemort's rise and surviving the boy will become him. Because changing the future isn't easy, especially when the future's greatest monster thinks you're his friend.
TLDR: A story about time travel, found family, moral disaster, and the one Chicago kid who managed to piss off the entire timeline.
