Dick POV

Dick woke up feeling drowsy and quite frankly a bit disoriented. He found himself lying on something soft and warm yet firm. Everything was also a lot bigger than usual, but it didn't take too long to realise that he was at the manor.

Dick noted that his vision changed. The last time he'd been in this room, the colors had been rich and beautiful. Now everything was mostly in shades of blue and green. His field of vision was also much larger than before, making everything feel slightly disorienting, but he soon found himself getting used to it.

He jumped slightly when suddenly something heavy yet gentle and warm settled over his back. He hadn't noticed Damian was sitting right next to him. In fact he was actually lying in his lap which… okay, that was new. Since when was he small enough to lay in Dami's lap? Dick turned his head up to look at his babiest brother and quickly sat up. 'Since when did Dami become a giant??' His heart was beating fast, and he could feel himself shivering slightly in shock.

That same warm and gentle hand started petting him again, and he could feel himself calming down; Dick cocked his head at Damian as if to ask what is happening.

''You got turned into a Rabbit on patrol. We were fighting against a magician and a spell was about to hit me, but you jumped in front of me and blacked out,'' Damian gathered Dick's ears and gently stroked them. ''We quickly disposed of them and got back to the cave. You began shrinking in the Batmobile.'' He started stroking Dick's back ''The JLA magician said the spell would probably wear off by itself in a couple of weeks, so I guess we will just have a bunny for an older brother for a while. I did not expect you to turn into such a huge breed of bunny though.''

Dick was confused. What did Dami mean by huge breed of bunny? That's when he realised that he's basically been scrunching himself as small as possible. He relaxed his muscles and oh wow, okay Dami wasn't that much bigger than him after all. Had he turned into a Flemish Giant???? Dick stood up on his hindlegs and found himself looming over Damian. Okay, so evidently he was now a giant bunny rabbit. Alright, this was his life now, nothing he can do about it.

Damian POV

Damian had a small problem, well okay the problem in question was not exactly small but it was not anything serious is what he means, Richard had been turned into a bunny, a Flemish Giant to be specific, the problem with that was that he wanted to be carried and cuddled;

''Richard, you are nearly 30 lbs at this moment, now i am of course very strong and it isn't even your weight that is the problem; but you are a rather big bunny at the moment and with all your squirming i cannot get a proper grip on you!'' Richard huffed and his ear twitched ''Richard i cannot carry you, you will have to hop along.'' Damian sighed.

*stomp* Richard thumped his hindlegs, pouting cause he wanted to be carried, he pushed his head against Damians legs before hopping up and putting his front paws on Damians shoulders.

''Ugh fine, i will carry you but do not complain that i'm not holding you correctly, you are moving around too much and you are very slippery.''

Damian thought that he probably made a funny picture, walking in the hallway carrying this giant squirming bunny but i could hear Richard's teeth clicking together in contentment and there was nothing he would not do to make sure his big brother was happy, so he continued onwards to his room.

Dick POV

Dick wanted to be carried, he somehow had more energy than ever and no energy at all, his body felt weird; it didn't move how he was used to, hopping along to Dami's steps that now felt miles long, felt somehow both completely new and yet so foreign and tiring.

He stretched up on his hindlegs, pawing at Dami's shoulders, nosing at him, his Dami smelled so comforting, and Dick hated to admit it but he actually felt pretty scared and nervous right now, Dami would be so comforting and he needed some sort of contact.

His Dami was talking again but he didn't hear any of it, he sat back down again and thumped his paws in frustration and then he was suddenly picked up and held in small but strong arms against his Dami's heart.

The hold wasn't exactly comfortable but he felt himself relax nonetheless, clicking his teeth in contentment, they probably looked ridiculous but he was happy so he didn't care.

Damian POV

Damian looked at Richard loafing on his desk, his older brother had been a Bunny for a few weeks now, they had found out that the spell would run it's course after a few months or break if it met the right conditions, the problem being that none of them could figure out what the conditions were.

While having Richard as a bunny was sort of nice, seeing as he felt he could actually hug and comfort and take care of his brother without judgement, which had been very nice— and just the other day his cape had gone missing while he was getting ready for patrol, he'd looked for longer than he'd liked to admit before finding it on the chair in front of the bat computer, Richard having squirmed his way into the hood of it, as if to say 'Come on, i'm ready to go out now' he didn't actually fit in the hood of course but it had been an endearing sight nonetheless.

Obviously he didn't join him on patrol; while Richard had retained his human intellect he did occasionally (pretty often actually) get possessed by what Damian liked to to call 'Bunnybrain' where he his instincts took over and let human logic fall to the side.

but Damian misses his Brother, his Baba, his corny puns, his warm hugs that made damian feel safe, his affection that didn't end no matter how much Damian pretended to hate it.

His baba could tell when he protested for show and when he actually wanted to enforce his boundaries, his baba never encroached upon or crossed or pushed his boundaries.

Damian just missed his person.

Damian looked back at his canvas, putting down the paint just right to catch the light in Richard's fur, wanting to capture this moment of peaceful comfort, he looked back just in time to see Alfred the cat jump up on the desk, purring up a storm as he walked over and loafed next to Richard, butting his head against the bunny next to him.

Dick POV

Dick was currently sunning himself on the desk while Damian painted him, his Dami is so talented, he has no doubt he'll turn out the handsomest of bunnies and he can't wait to see the finished painiting.

He could hear his Dami humming quietly to himself and felt himself relax, he felt so at peace in this moment; don't get him wrong he's looking forward to being able to speak and hold his Dami again as a human, but after finding out how easily he could find comfort with Damian now that he was a bunny, he couldn't help but want to stay this way a little while longer.

It felt good to see his Dami feel comfortable being affectionate, it was something he wished his Dami could feel while he was human as well, he wanted to stay a bunny for a bit longer just to soak in that affection and care.

He felt his ears twitch, he turned his head just in time to see Alfred's whiskered face join him up on the desk, ''Mrrrm? *comfortable Richard?*'' he felt Alfred butt his head against him, ''click click clack *very comfortable Alfie*'' he purred back.

Alfred the cat had taken him under his paw almost immediately, him and Titus both honestly, they had already liked him when he was human but now that he actually understood them when they ''talked'' they'd started liking him even more. They had been confused at first, but he hadn't needed to say more than ''spell'' before they figured out what was going on.

''Mrrrm~ *please remember to tell our human how much we love him, when you turn back*'' Alfred told him, leaning over to lick at his fur, purring all the while. ''clack click *of course, i'm sure he'll be happy to know you're happy here*'' he purred back.

Damian was cuddling with Richard, petting him and just thinking out loud, he was sure Richard was asleep anyways so he wouldn't be hearing anything ''I wish it could always be like this Baba, i wish i was like you and could be open with my affections the same way you are—'' he buried his face into Richard's fur while saying the next words ''I love you and i wish i could be sure all the time that you knew that'' he sighed, facing away from Richard; curling in on himself — He froze as he felt a familiar arm settle around him, pulling him back into the warm embrace of his Baba and then Richard started to speak.

Dick felt himself relaxing more and more with each stroke of his Dami's hand against his fur, clicking his teeth in happiness and contentment, he listened to his Damian talk; he felt really proud of him for vocalizing his feelings even if he was pretty sure Dami thought he was asleep and thus would not hear it, progress was progress, it had no deadlines and no one way to make it.

''I love you […]''

Dick smiled putting his arm gently around his Dami's middle ''You know, i don't need words to know that you love me Dami-'' he felt Damian freeze under his arm before Damian turned to curl into his embrace ''your actions are very loud you know, you always try and tell me i did good when you think i'm having a bad day, it makes me feel better when i've had a long day, week or month; Being around you makes me feel better no matter how grumpy you are, if we talk or just sit quietly in the same room-'' he moved his hand up to card it through his Dami's hair ''i feel and see that you love me all those times and so many more'' ''Baba i'm sorry-'' Dick gently cupped Damians face, stroking under his eye with his thumb ''Shhh, there's no need to apologize Damian, i'm your Baba and you're my Dami, there is nothing you can do to make me love you any less, in fact i love you more every day.''
