Work Text:
It’s a normal Wednesday during a shoot week at the Smosh office and Trevor is sitting with Arasha on the couch in the green room area between shoots.
They try to not have the littles film too many videos in a row without breaks for the exact thing that's happening right now.
Trevor is little.
He had finished his last shoot, a TNTL, before his break and had felt it coming. There's always a caregiver around for situations like this, but the little can always try to find someone first, before being sent to the designated person for that day.
And Arasha happened to have the same shooting schedule as him.
Arasha is a neutral. She doesn't regress or have the intense caregiver instincts, but she loves all the littles regardless.
She was the fun aunt of all the Smosh littles. Always wanting to be up to mischief, usually leading the chaos that the littles would fall into.
So when Trevor asked her if she'd watch him, she obviously said yes.
Trevor’s golden retriever energy while little was a perfect match to Arasha’s pranks and games she would play with the littles. He loved to have fun, loved surprises, and loved to spend time with Arasha, a perfect combination for mischief.
Arasha has learned over time what each little is up for, and has gotten pretty good at making sure whatever she suggests, is something that person will be comfortable with.
She knows that Trevor enjoys mischief, thrives through it even, as long as it’s nice. He likes to make people happy.
Once the two had ended up making a huge mess that others had to clean up, and he had felt really guilty, so Arasha tried to make sure everything they did together was guilt free as best she could.
Arasha watches Trevor as his mind comes back into focus after regressing. He grins widely at her.
“Rasha!” he yells excitedly, falling into her for a hug.
It's always a bit awkward, but in a cute way, when Trevor is little. He’s over six feet tall, being about half a foot taller than Arasha. But with him being about six years old mentally, he sometimes forgets.
So he launches himself into Arasha’s arms, leaning down to land with his head under hers and she laughs, hugging him back.
“Hi buddy.” she exclaims back, holding him.
She may not have the instincts, but she knows that younger littles usually enjoy physical touch after dropping, so she holds Trevor as best she can for a couple minutes as he melts into her.
Eventually he pops back up, a huge smile on his face. “I missed you and it’s been so long since I've gotten to see you and now we get to hang out and you're in charge which means we’re gonna do something fun and I'm so excited and I can’t wait.” he rambles excitedly, bouncing slightly in his seat.
She laughs again. “I’ve missed you too, Trev. And I do have plans.” she says with a comically mischievous grin that he copies.
They have about two and a half hours until their next video with lunch being in the second half of that, so about a little over an hour to enact Arasha’s plan.
She quickly explains her idea to Trevor and he laughs, excited by the idea.
“Who do you wanna get?” she asks him excitedly, already pretty sure she knows the answer.
But to her surprise, he hesitates, clearly unable to decide.
“I wanna get Spence cuz he has a spot so it’ll be bigger and he’s cool but also Shayne cuz his reaction will be funnier and i like when we mess with him.” he explains in one breath.
Arasha nods in understanding. “How about we start with one, and if we have more time we can do both?” she suggests easily and he grins at her, nodding rapidly.
“Spencer” he answers easily, and the two high-five with an overexaggerated evil laugh
The two move over to the table in the corner and Arasha pulls out the office’s supply of arts and crafts items for littles. They both then get to work, drawing tons of pictures. Dozens of crude drawings of Spencer, things he likes, random scribbles, and random other doodles the two come up with.
Arasha, not wanting to deal with cleaning, makes sure the two stick to colored pencils and crayons, hiding the markers from the little.
As the shoot ends in the sound stage, the two have drawn upwards of 30 pages of art for Spencer, never moving on to Shayne.
When everyone starts walking out from the stage, the two clean up the supplies, getting ready for stage two of the plan.
Most people exiting the stage head straight towards the cafeteria to get lunch, but Shayne detours to go see Trevor, having a soft spot for the little.
Trevor quickly notices Shayne walking over. “Shayne!” he yells excitedly running towards him.
Shayne smiles and opens his arms, bracing himself as Trevor hops into his arms in a hug.
Even with the extra strength that comes with being a caregiver, Shayne is one of the only people that Trevor knows that can lift him, even if it’s just for a couple seconds.
Shayne uses Trevor’s momentum to spin him once, before placing him back down. Trevor smiles down at him.
“Hi! We’re gonna prank Spencer and it’s gonna be really funny and I'm so excited but I’m not supposed to tell you that” he rambles and Shayne laughs.
“I’m sure you weren’t” he jokes “Is Arasha being good?” he asks half-jokingly and Trevor nods.
“Yeah we cleaned up after ourselves and she made a nice prank we’re both being good.” he confirms
Shayne pats his back with a smile. “I’m gonna eat lunch, see you soon alright?” he says as he turns to leave.
Trevor nods and waves “Bye! Love You!” he calls after Shayne, before turning back to Arasha.
Arasha smiles softly at him, pile of paper in her hands. “Time for phase two.”
... -- --- ... ..../.. .../--. .- -.--
The two walk casually through the cafeteria to get to Spencer's desk, well as casually as a hyperactive six foot tall preschooler that loves people can be casual.
Trevor almost immediately forgets it's a stealth mission and waves to and greets everyone that says hi to him, bouncing around as he walks in front of Arasha.
She follows him with a smile, enjoying how sweet and bubbly he is, even if he's blowing their cover.
They finally exit the cafeteria and head to the bullpen and Spencer's desk. When they finally get there they enact the next step in the plan.
Covering Spencer's empty desk with pictures drawn by them two, but mostly Trevor. Propping them up in front of the monitors, on top of the keyboard, on his chair, anywhere they could put a picture where it would stay put, and not be destructive, they did.
Once Spencer's desk was successfully covered in pictures, the two turned and left, heading to lunch like nothing happened.
They get to the food line and Arasha helps Trevor get a plate while also getting her own food. With them both situated she follows Trevor as he sits with Shayne and Spencer.
Spencer smiles softly at Trevor as he sits down, also having a soft spot for him. “Hi bud.” He greets casually.
Trevor waves as he sits down. “Hi Spence! Missed you!” he says excitedly, starting to eat.
Spencer looks between Trevor and Arasha. “What did you two get up to?” He asks curiously.
Arasha gives Trevor a look, but he doesn't notice.
“We worked on a prank the whole time and it was lots of fun I can't wait to see your reaction.” He says quickly, not really realizing what he said.
Spencer and Shayne laugh as Arasha sighs.
Trevor looks between everyone before he finally comprehends what he said. He looks guiltily over at Arasha.
“Oops” he says with a bashful smile, and Arasha just laughs
“Don't worry kiddo, he doesn't know what or where it is.”
Trevor beams. “Yeah! He'll never expect that it's at-” Shayne cuts him off
“So bud, have you gotten to play any basketball recently?” He asks, completely changing the topic, and it works. Trevor starts rambling about getting to play basketball in his little league.
Spencer looks over at Arasha and raises an eyebrow at her, she gives him nothing. She just eats her food, occasionally reminding Trevor to eat his.
As they all finish eating, Arasha whispers into Trevor's ear.
“Ask Spencer to show you something on his computer so he'll take you to his desk and you can see his reaction.” She whispers
He smiles at her and nods
“Spence? Can you show me something on your computer?” He asks excitedly, not realizing he probably should have added what he wanted to see.
Spencer looks between Arasha and Trevor and rolls his eyes, but agrees anyway.
“I'm done eating, I can show you my computer.” He responds easily.
Trevor pumps his fist, giving Arasha a proud smile.
The three stand up and Trevor turns to Shayne.
“Bye Shayne! See you next time I'm little and also later but when you see me later I'll be big so bye love you.” he rambles, giving the man a hug
Shayne hugs him back and waves as the three walk away. “Bye bud!”
The three walk to Spencer's desk, Trevor almost vibrating with excitement as Spencer pretends to not notice.
They arrive at the desk and Spencer only half has to act surprised. While he's not surprised there's a prank, he didn't expect the prank to be a bunch of drawings for him.
“Woah Trev! That's so many drawings and they're everywhere.” He says, trying his best to sound believable.
And it works, Trevor bounces up and down. “We got you so good you had no idea. Pranked!
All three laugh, Arasha smiling at how excited Trevor is, giving him a high five.
“You got me.” Spencer remarks, carefully moving a couple pages so he can sit at his desk.
Trevor grins at him, pointing at one of the drawings. “That one's my favorite!” He says excitedly, pointing at a crude drawing of two stick figures playing video games, one that's tall and blonde, the other smaller with an attempt at glasses.
Spencer nods, “That's a good one.” He replies, looking between all the drawings.
Arasha pulls Trevor's attention back to her. “We gotta get you back to adult brain, bud.”
Trevor pouts, but nods. “Bye Spence see you soon I hope good to see you little and see you big later love you!” He calls out, walking away with Arasha
“Bye Trevor! Good job on your prank.” Spencer calls back, turning his attention to his desk, slowly collecting all the pictures, and stashing them in his desk for safe keeping.
Maybe one of them finds its way out of the drawer and is taped up at his desk, and maybe it's the one of the two of them, but that's only because Trevor liked it.
Not because to him, it was a drawing of him and someone he considered his little brother.
