Chapter Text

The mammals awkwardly ate their food in silence. The scraping of utensils on plates and the quiet noises of chewing and swallowing were the only sounds heard.

Judy’s question had certainly severed his plans in stalling as much as he could. While he’s gotten better at verbally expressing how he feels, there are things that still felt impossible to admit. Like, his crush he’s had on Judy for the past year for instance.

It was never meant to be a secret. Not forever, at least. In fact, there have been times that he’d tell her without needing to say anything. It was the way he’d look at her or how he’d help her up some stairs or when he'd get their drinks for the morning. It wasn’t on purpose either but he knew he wouldn’t do this for any other animal. He knew he loved her and it was starting to bleed into the things he’d do.

When was the last time he cooked for anyone? Hell, he couldn’t even remember the last time he cooked something for himself.

Just moments ago, he parted his maw to answer her question, completely unsure of what he was going to say but the rumble of his stomach beat him to the punch. And funny enough, Judy’s own belly replied back.

Despite a tense moment, they agreed to eat first before they would have their hefty conversation.

But now that they were dining, Nick was practically forcing the spoonfuls down. His body was desperately needing some form of energy other than the coffee he drank earlier, but was starting to feel sick just two bites in.

This was it. He was going to confess, like he always wanted.

He opened his mouth after a harsh swallow. “Carrots.”

The bunny across from him looked up from her plate. “Yes?”

“How’s your food?”

Damn it. Not what he wanted to say.

“Oh, it’s fine.” She deflated, shrugging. “Maybe not the best I had though.”

Nick pathetically chuckled. “Yeah well, was kinda taken off guard when I was making it.”

“You said you wanted to talk.” Judy reminded him with a raised eyebrow.

Nick’s fork rested on the edge of his plate, his palms gestured to the ceiling. “Yeah, I wanted to talk about last night. Not about—.”

Not yet.

Breathe, Wilde. This is not how you want your confession to go. Getting all uptight isn’t going to help anything. Plus, he was planning on talking about his feelings. He wasn’t sure why he was getting so defensive.

He just imagined it going better. He got her flowers but she was already in the kitchen so he couldn’t exactly hide them. and she didn’t even realize it was the same kind they wore at the Zootennial Gala together. It was not going well at all

“I just thought—.” She quickly spewed, trying to justify herself being overly hasty. “it was all connected. Feelings and last night and stuff.” She hated how little of sense that made.

Judy was doing it again, jumping the gun. They had agreed to talk about the night before and she was flat-out assuming.

“No no, it is.” He yielded, no longer holding his breath. “It was definitely a combination of a whole bunch of things.”

Just get it over with, Nick calmly told himself. To hell with making it romantic.

Judy felt like she severely screwed up the mood with the sudden question. Had she made it awkward? Was it just a one time thing to him or did he want to do more too? She didn’t know. All of this indirect talk was making her slowly die inside.

“But last night,” he began. “I liked it.”

“Thank goodness, me too.” She blurted out.

He painfully smirked. “Did you think I hated it?”

“Well, we just kinda…only focused on me only so I could fell asleep on you.” She cringed.

He couldn’t help but laugh. “Yeah, I mean, I said I’d help you, didn’t I?”

That’s right, he did say that. Ugh, she couldn’t take it anymore. “Well, how did you feel about it all?”

“I would like to that stuff again, yes.” He began again. “Well, that and…more.”

“More?” She gulped. Did he mean…?

“Yes.” He looked up with his chin to his chest. “If you want that. If you’d have me?”

“Oh Nick.” She cradled her own hands together.

He took in a deep breath, blinking fast now, heart hammering like an earsplitting tantrum. “Judy, I’ve felt this way about you for some time now.” His blood ran frigid cold yet sweltering hot at the same time. It was abnormally hard to think straight. “I’ve been trying to hold it back for so long but now, I-I can’t. I’ve felt so strongly about you and I really, really want this to work. Want us to work.”

“Me too, Nick.” She reached for his paws to squeeze it.

“Really?” He searched her eyes desperately.

“Yes! I just—Gosh, I just don’t know if you’ll fit.”

His face and entire being froze still. “What?”

She shyly played with her shirt material. “I mean, you must’ve known that I’ve never done it before, right?”

Nick couldn’t move. “I’m sorry, what are we talking about right now?”

“Sex, right?” Judy lightly blushed as she answered, growing confused. “What were you talking about?”

“Sex! Of course! I just—” He laughed, his paw around hers closed and squeezed reassuringly. “I just wanted to make sure we were, you know, on the same page.”

Judy visibly relaxed and Nick could only subtly grimace.

Some confession.

He should’ve known better than to think that his message would get across as intended. He should’ve clarified. Stupid, stupid, stupid fox he was.

“Are we still friends?” She reluctantly asked.

“I’d like to think we’re friends first before anything else.”

“I think so too.” Judy agreed with a growing smile. “It’s just…what do we now? Sorry, I’ve never done this before.”

Nick thought he might as well lean all the way into meeting her at her level. If this was the only way he could have her, he’d take it.

“Since you’re gonna be staying here while your ankle heals, I want to be there and support you in all the ways I can. I can keep helping you until you feel better. I meant what I said on the staircase that day, that I’m okay with you using me.”

She grew flustered instantly at the memory. “I never said I agreed to that!”

Nick was starting to get familiar with her flushed look and it made him laugh.  “But we agreed on how partners help each out though, right? Again, I only want to do the things you want to do, Carrots. If you want to keep up the heavy petting until the boot comes off, I’m for it.”

“I doubt anyone else needs their partner to help them with their heat problems...”

“Yeah well,” He found himself leaning in slightly, the distance between them closing from across the table. “We’re not like everyone else, now are we?”

“No we’re not.” She agreed, not straying from his glare for once. She caught sight of his teeth before flickering her gaze back to his eyes. “I don’t even know what we are now.”

He took a moment before questioning, “Ever heard of friends with benefits?”

Her nose twitched once, then twice. “Of course I have.”

He sat up straight, wordlessly suggesting it with a harmless frown and shrug.

“It certainly makes sense. I just don’t know what you benefit from it.”

He couldn’t stray from his words from before. He was being as honest as he could be. “It’s not one-sided. While this heat is your biology and it’s something you’re going though, I enjoyed it too and I like…pleasuring you. I still want to support you in any way possible.”

This conversation was turning out much better than she imagined. Friends with benefits, huh? It was never something she thought she’d pursue. She wasn’t the type of mammal to engage in sexual acts with another but again, it was almost inevitable to avoid with no other way to mitigate while living with someone she lusted after.

Nick continued, unsure of her sudden silence. “I don’t want to go into this with any loose ends. I just want to make sure you want to do this kind of thing…with me?”

He was being careful again, just like before. Unlike the nights she’s had with a couple of male rabbits where she only went as far as tongue wrestling and a grope or two, only for it to be stopped short by them wanting to rush into everything.

She realized now, that wow, they all just wanted rush into this sorta thing? Sex, or anything sexual for that matter, was complicated as it is. It was messy and humbling and incredibly awkward. But it wasn’t her first instincts to deny it. She is a bunny after all.

Rather, her first instincts were always to bail when she felt uncomfortable or in danger, which is what happened every time before.

If only anyone had taken the time with her and talked about it, she wouldn’t run. She would’ve definitely had sex by now, she thinks. But not just anyone would do that for her. No one but Nick. He seriously cared about her and it made her almost want to cry.

“I do want this.” Judy forgot about her meal and everything else around her. “I may not be ready to do everything all at once but I’m willing and comfortable to explore this with you because, I do feel strongly about you too. I have for a while. And honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone else I’d want to do this with…”

Nick blinked fast as if he was fighting some strong emotions himself. He knew his confession wasn’t it. It didn’t feel right. It wasn’t going to happen. No, not like this, he decided.

He then heavily sighed after seemingly holding it in, grinning sincerely. “You’re the only one I want to do anything like this with.” He answered back.

Same page. He could live with this. For now.

There was something about his last sentence that made her heart skip. Jeez, not her heat already threatening to make an appearance.

Nick didn’t have it in him to make a joke, especially after his failed attempt at a declaration of love. Their discussion was much too serious for his usual antics anyhow. But his skin was beginning to itch for any type of segue.

“You seem more comfortable. Talking about sex, I mean.” The fox pointed out with a somewhat prideful expression.

Judy’s ears perked up. She had been discussing it quite casually, hadn’t she? Growing up,  the word alone had felt like saying a curse word, but now, it was rolling off the tongue like it’d always been a part of her vocabulary. She supposed that staying there had caused that. The realization had her feeling lighter than before. It was the feeling of change. And she liked it.

“That’s true.” She smiled to herself. Talking does help, who knew? “Thanks to you.”

“You mean, thanks to your libido,” he smirked, his paw gesturing for her plate.

She handed it over with a roll of her eyes. “Anyways I was thinking since we didn’t get to watch that movie last night, maybe we can watch it tonight?” She suggested, eyes trailing his figure as he collected the dirty dishes. “If you’re not up to anything, of course.”

“‘Course not!” He featly set off toward to sink, rolling his sleeves up again. “This weekend was for us, remember? You go get the couch warm. I’ll get the popcorn.”

As Judy crutched her way out of the kitchen, she caught how the light from the window hit his furrowed brow, his attention on the dishes in the sink as the sun hit his fur quite beautifully. Her good foot unbridledly thumped on the floor and she swiftly turned out of the room before she had to answer for it. She must’ve had the jitters from their conversation or something.

Either way, she had to stop staring at him or else she was going to cut movie night early again.

Once she got comfortable on the couch, she turned on the television with the remote, instinctively lifting her injured foot to rest on the table. Having stayed at his place for the past week, she grew aware of his streaming platforms and other entertaining apps. She wasn’t one to dabble in binging tv episodes but with her accident, that’s all she could do.

At first, it was hard for her. Even when she was kit, it was rare to have her sit still and watching the television. Though with her injury, she was practically forced to entertain herself with the shows and movies she missed out on as a kid.

“Jeez Carrots, I said keep the couch warm, not the table.” Nick sat down and joined her on her left, setting the snack bowl beside her boot. “Woah! You’re almost halfway finished Golden Girl-bels? That fast?” He pointed at the screen, spotting her progress when he took over the remote control.

She leaned back with a shrug. “What? I have, like, nothing but time to kill.”

“And my feelings apparently, I said I wanted to watch it together.”

She blinked. “Oh I thought you were joking.”

“Why would I joke about that? It’s one of my favorite shows!” He exclaimed.

She lifted her paws in surrender, a laugh overtaking her. “My bad! I’ll stop watching it on my own then. Didn’t know you liked it that much…”

“Sheesh, you’re on a record, Hopps. First, breaking your ankle and now your promises.” He tsked in disappointment.

Judy scoffed. “No ankles were broken nor were there any promises made to watch it together!”

He opened his mouth but was interrupted by a pillow making contact with his snout. "Still." He pulled it from his face, his smirk prominent. “It’s the principle of it.”

She lazily gave him a stern look, only her head whipping in his direction. “Your point has been made. No more watching a show from the 80s where four elderly gerbils bicker and live together because it’s your favorite show of all time and I’m a terrible friend for getting so far without you.”

“Hey, you said it, I didn’t.” He answered, satisfied from her analysis of their argument. Another useless quarrel. They were falling back into routine. Good. His eyes dwindled, falling on her propped foot on the table as he began to search up their movie for the evening.“How is it by the way? Your ankle?”

Judy, already paw first in the popcorn bowl, looked over at her bulky boot too. “Hm? Oh, just fine. It hurts every now and then but it’s nothing I can’t handle.”

“Good, good.” He nodded before jutting his head to the tv. “Do you mind though? It’s kinda blocking my view.”

She incredulously laughed. “Nick, you are several inches taller. It is not blocking your view!”

“I never said it’s taking my whole view, just that it’s in my way.” He gestured with an open palm.

Her eyes search his features, as if she was to find the words to say. He was being so silly. It made her stomach jump. She shifted gears, pressing her weight to the couch, rotating her body until her heavy boot hit him square in the sternum.

“OOF—!” He cried, nearly doubling over.

“Better?” She widely smiled, as if to silently dare him to object.

His palm kneaded into his chest. “Perfect.” He croaked. His thumbs up was unconvincing but it was enough to stop the physical violence she was to ensue. He weakly pointed at the screen again once having pulled up their movie for the night. “What do you think?”

He had thought it was a great find. He was most excited to show her what he found for them and it was evident in his minute tail wag. It was one of her favorite genres—actiony thriller-esque—and it came out recently AND he was able to find a copy online that he didn’t have to pay for. The last part he didn’t tell her about though.

“Hmm, only one way to find out.”

He pressed play after her stamp of approval. They jumped at the intro where the protagonist jumped, shattering a window. They laughed at one another, and after had Nick relaxing against his couch cushions, feeling tension just roll off of him from hearing her laughter and her stuffing her cheeks full of food.

Even with her mouth puffed up like that, it made his heart threaten to combust. Despite his chest still throbbing in pain, it now hummed, pleased from her closeness, her hindpaws now resting in his lap after her assault.

It was hardly noticeable at first. They’ve had casual contact plenty of times before, and Nick has always been a trooper at keeping his feelings in check. He would be an internal mess from her touch but did a phenomenal job at hiding it. This time felt different for some reason.

Probably because now he could do something about it. He could part her legs and plant his chin on her abdomen, get cozy between her thighs and kiss her until she pleaded for him to stop.

Not exactly, he reminded himself, waving off the heavenly mental image. She had her qualms and he didn’t want to push, but he supposed that’s what his gimmick has always been: pushing and pushing until she’d halt him in his tracks, point to a bunny-made borderline, swat him on the head and send him back where he came from only for the cycle to repeat.

Their earlier conversation had disputed that. Now, if he pushed, he may find the boundary pushed further back than it initially was and the bunny, who would’ve physically punished him, was now greeting him with open arms.

All he had to do was try.

He just couldn’t shake off his fear of her running off again and making her uncomfortable. He’ll think of something. He needed to try. He needed to be bold.

The movie was just static to him as he tugged at her good foot, coaxing a yelp from her. For a spilt millisecond, he was terrified. His eyebrows quivered in uncertainty but he kept them steady, like his hold on her, not wanting her to feel their tremble.

He wasn’t met with a look of distaste or discomfort. Shock, sure, but also curiosity. Her nose twitched, asking her question for her. What was that for?

“You’re hogging the popcorn.” Nick pointed at the half-finished bowl that was glued to her lap.

Judy huffed, rolling her eyes with a smirk before handing it over.

God, she is so beautiful.

He took the bowl, grabbed a handful and tossed one in his maw. He faced back forward, chewing harder than necessary. He wanted to her closer, fuck.

He seriously didn’t know what happened to him. He used to be able to croon to the hottest of vixens, persuade a polar bear to buy the snow from their own porch, yet he couldn’t find it in him to seduce the one woman he so deeply cared about.

“Now you’re hogging it!” Judy laughed as she reached for some.

Sure enough, the bowl was hardly a third full. He must’ve been stress eating.

“Rightfully so.”

“Hm well…what if I sat there?” She pointed to the parted space between his legs. “It’ll make sharing a lot easier.”

He tried not to panic, or at least, show it on his face. That was the most dangerous seat in the whole apartment. He spotted no trace of malice on her face, nothing but a look of prideful innovation and almost...desire. He wasn’t sure. It was an expression he was still growing accustomed to.

There was no way he wasn’t going to get hard.

But what could he do? He couldn’t say no. He didn’t want to either.

“Sure.” He shrugged. “C’mon Carrots.” He gestured for her awhile holding his breath.

She began to scoot towards him and he reached over, wrapped his paws around her small waist. This wasn’t exactly unorthodox. He’s held her up climbing fences, moving her out of the way of a potential collusion, or just giving her the leverage she needed. But this was so very different.

She was getting close to him for the sole purpose of intimacy. Because honestly, fuck the popcorn, they both knew what they were doing.

After Judy took her seat, he doesn’t say anything else and neither does she. She just looks ahead at the movie, not even processing a single scene of it. Her focus redirected completely toward the fox behind her now. She inched backward an inch. Then some more, and some more again, her butt gently met the apex of his thighs.

Both of them closer than they’ve been all day and she was comforted to be facing away rather than toward him. Their thighs met, fur against fur. Her tail wavered, knowing that she was one spasm away from feeling his…you know.

She idly ate popcorn, teeth gnashing on the kernels and focusing on the saltiness as if to keep her grounded in the moment. The movie was playing but neither of them were watching. It was nothing more than a necessary distraction—a befitting background noise, else they’d be surrounded by dead air. It was essential actually as they clumsily tangoed into their new level of ‘friendship’. She snuck herself on top of him until she was practically sitting on his lap.

A low, hoarse noise rumbled in his throat. It made her ear flicker and the pit of her stomach lurch from excitement. She inches forward then back, and then forward again.

“Carrots, do you know…what you’re doing right now?”

“No no I know,” she swallowed down the shakiness in her voice. “Is this okay?”

“Y-Yeah of course, I just wanted to make sure you were aware.”

“Oh I’m aware.” She bravely said.

Nick realized it was his turn to lead their unrehearsed yet fervid dance. “Mind if I get more comfortable then?”

She silently shook her head as she put the bowl on the table. It was empty anyway.

He brought her in, fully on top of his lap. Closer. Her back against his chest. His paws grasped onto the sides of her hips tighter, his claws just barely riding up the edges of her shirt. She grabbed him sharply at his wrists as a reaction.

“Sorry sorry, I was just resting them there.” He apologized. “I wasn’t gonna—"

“No no it’s not that,” Judy shook her head, barely holding in her giggles. “I’m just ticklish there.”

He smiled. “That’s right. I forget how sensitive you are.” He playfully pinched her side and she wheezed.

“Nick!” She gasped.

“What?” One of his arms locked around her waist. “I’m barely touching you.” His free hand wiggled into her side and she jolted from each movement.

“Please no! UGH, I’m gonna kill you—pfFF—HAHAHA!” Judy shouted through her fit of giggles.

“Oh yeah, you sound real threatening, Fluff.” He teased, unfaltering from her jerks.

Judy blindly rearing her elbow back only to bump it into a pillow instead of her initial furry target. Curse this position. She’d lean from his touch but to her surprise, his grip around her  was rather strong. It was thrilling and terribly erotic. It wasn’t long before she began to fear the arrival of her arousal.

He eventually let go but it was already too late. Her scent beginning to fill the air.

“There it is.” His words warmed the back of her neck that made her quiver. She nearly lost it when he took in a deep breath, inhaling her heat willingly and eagerly

Her face sparked with ammunition. “I can’t with you.” She was now quite thankful for their seating arrangement now, unable to hide her expression but fortunate enough to not have to show it.

His grip on her loosened and for a moment, all that was heard was her steadying breath. He opened his mouth but closed it. He did this again, finding the words to say before eventually stating, “We should make a safe word.”

Judy’s head tilted. “Safe word?”

Her unintentionally tensed shoulders relaxed as he placed a chin on one of them. “I want to know when to stop in case I ever make you…uncomfortable.”

Her chin pulled in to look at him. “Nick, you could never make me uncomfortable.”

“But last night, I almost did, remember?”

The mental imagery flashed—the quick second of panic from last night. The only moment she felt uneasy, when his paws were moving to remove her clothing. Judy tried not to cringe too hard from the memory.

“To be fair, you didn’t know how I felt.”

“Exactly,” Nick pressed, sitting up properly. “I didn’t know and I don’t want to find out too late. So if I ever grab too rough or bite too hard or anything you don’t like, you say the word and I stop.” His arms around her squeezed gently. “It’s important for…friends with benefits, and honestly for any sexual relationship, to have one. We’re still learning about each other and the last thing I want to do is make you feel like how you felt that time last night.”

She had no qualms with it and for anything, he was an expert compared to her. “Okay,” she agreed. “and you’ll do the same?”

“Of course.” He replied without hesitation. He was so considerate, she just wanted to kiss him.

So, she coaxed his chin lower with her finger and leaned in, pecking his nose. “Thank you, Nick.”

The fox’s tail began a rhythmic beat against the armrest. He expelled out a laugh to cover his sudden stagger in breath. She truly had him wrapped around her finger.

He continued to stare, admiring her.

“What?” She laughed, her heart soaring. Had he always looked at her like that?

He smirked, yielding his gaze to the ceiling. “Oh well, I was gonna ask what the safe word should be but I think it’s obvious.”

It hit her like a unlocked sleeper agent. She couldn’t hold in. “Coconut?! Seriously?” She belly laughed.

“Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.” He amused. “Unless you got any other ideas?” He asked, leaning back against the couch.

“Hmm,” Judy faced back forward, biting her lip in thought. Thinking until she felt a twitch beneath her. She looked down, remembering all at once of their…position. He was aroused too and its reminder shot her stomach up her throat. “Coconut will do.”

Her head was directed backward and their lips connected, almost instantaneously melting together. They released a muted sound of relief. Finally, they echoed in their kiss.

Instinctively, she starts to move. Judy’s paws held on his knees as she maneuvered back and forth against him. It somehow felt better than the night before. Maybe it was because of their conversation beforehand. Or it was because she was in control of the pace. Or perhaps she could now feel his excitement too.

She tilts her head and he understands, deepening their unspoken embrace. He leans further in, passionately lathering their tongues together as she continues to grind her heat into him. His paws hold her by her midriff, keeping her steady, somehow keeping his hold gentle yet firm.

The way he moves his body…holy moly, Judy internally thaws from his hypnotic movement.

They move together as one, back and forth, dry humping through their clothes, making out like two horny teenagers. Judy certainly felt like one. If she knew it was supposed to feel like this, perhaps she would’ve gone further a long time ago.

There’s a thing Nick does that she’s beginning to notice. He growls. Or at least, he tries not to. If she angles herself just right, she rubs against him in a way that makes his throat buzz and rumble, as if he was seconds away from releasing a warning shout or roar of some kind. She’s only heard such a noise once and it was enough to pull her apart to catch her breath.

He chases her for a quick breathless peck. “What?”

“Just catching my breath.” She breathes, weakly kissing him back, slowing her pelvis to a stop. She learned very quickly that it gets tiring to do after a while.

“That’s it? Talk to me, Carrots.” He stops shy of giving another one.

Judy laughs weakly. “I’m good. I’m okay, don’t worry.” She affirms. There’s a beat of regaining respiration until she asks her undying question. “Did you say that you bite?”

“What’s that?” He panted, tilting his head as he sat back. He was slightly tired too.

She blushed a bit. “Earlier, you brought up not wanting to bite too hard.”

Nick is confused for a minute before it catches up to him. “Oh that’s right.” He nodded. “What? You want me to bite you?”

Her blush deepens. “I mean, I’m not opposed to the idea…”

“Ah, you want me to.” His interest piqued, sitting up again instantly.

“I didn’t say that!” She rushed out.

“If you don’t like it, you know the magic word.” Both of his arms circling around her waist as he pressed his lips to the nape of her neck. He pressed another and another along the span of her shoulders. Until a sharp yet tender pressure of enamel bit into the dip of her clavicle.

“H’ah!” She cried out unrestrained, moaning the loudest she probably ever had in her entire life. “Oh my god…” Her paws coming to cover her face out of habit.

A hand of his reached around, stopping them in the process. “Oh no I don’t think so. Don’t deprive me of your voice.” He held her one of her paws with his own while his other arm stayed secured around her waist, keeping her against him. “Plus you don’t want to miss the movie again, do you?”

She didn’t know whether she loved or hated his flirting at a time like this but her body certainly enjoyed it.

He nosed her spine before kissing it upwards over and over. Her heart heavily pounding at each peck as he traveled higher and higher, biting down gently at ever so often.

His faint kisses met behind her ears before he began cobbing at the edges. “Nick!” She hollered, flopping them behind her head. “They’re sensitive!” She rushed out in an excited giggle.

“Good.” he whispered, peppering more of his fluttery smooches on the back of them. “They’re just as soft as I thought they’d be.” He trailed a line of kisses down both of them, teething gently behind each peck.

Even when she’d get shy and try to lean away from his touch, his arms would possessively pull her back in and hold her tight. It was hard to even speak as he continued to shower her with affection. Something she wasn’t used to at all but she wasn’t dismissive toward it. Quite the contrary even.

It was all building up again, like the unraveling of an yearning ball of yarn that he was tugging and pulling at it. There was so much she felt she could do in the moment. She felt sexy. Invincible.

She wanted more, so much more.

“I wanna take off my shorts.” She blurted out, starting to tug them down in a rush.

“Okay okay.” He tried to help but her paws were moving so fast. She almost fell forward, trying to peel it down her boot but Nick was quick enough to catch her. “Woah, careful.”

Heat rose to her face. Yup, there goes the one time she tries to be seductive. “Ugh sorry, that was so unsexy.” Her cheeks boiling from embarrassment, her shorts now caught halfway down her medical footwear.

“What are you taking about? This is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.” She had no indication of if he was joking or if he was serious, but the breathiness of it… It made her not feel so shy. When she tried to take off her bottoms completely, his paws reassuringly squeezing her sides. “Leave them.”

She didn’t have to be told twice.

She whimpered in delight as she sat back down on him. She doesn’t know what he looked like but she could certainly feel him better. He felt more…prominent. It didn’t just make her desire multiply. It skyrocketed.

His erection swole against her heat between his shorts and her thin underwear, and god, it was driving her mad. She began to move against him again, her stomach turning when she felt his grip weaken. It was enough motivation to gyrate back and forth again. His mouth close enough behind her to feel the vibrations of his muffled grunts. His kisses on her ears paused, too immersed in the overwhelming pleasure of her.

Nick pulled back far enough to just sit back and watch, marveling at her underwear. Her figure. Her everything. Her panties’ tightness around her shapely rump and her adorable tail. Every time it fucking spasms, his mouth waters. He wanted to taste her so badly. In due time, he told himself. He was strong enough to withhold himself but he couldn’t keep his comments in. Not after holding them back for so long.

“I wanna bury my face in your tail.” He dryly swallowed, trying not to lose his mind, moving with her. “So sexy watching you grind on me. You’re doing so good.”

Oh Nick—mmm!” Judy felt so giddy that she felt wonderfully queasy in the pit of her stomach. She bit her lip, needing to lower her volume somehow. All neurons flaring and her pulse threatening to jump out from her skin.

It was almost overwhelming. Almost.

He couldn’t take the distance between their lips anymore.

A sound of surprise left her when he pulled her up from under her arms and shifted her around, minding her injury foremost, until she was planted in front of him, fully facing Nick now.

She wanted to take a mental screenshot of his face. It wasn’t like last night when they were careful and taut. Tonight, it was painfully obvious he was struck with lust with his stare on her having no shame, sweeping her body, and his eyelids hardly aloft.

“‘You comfortable like this?” He rasped.

“Yes,” she nodded quickly.

“Good.”

They passionately kiss and wordlessly begin their heavy patting session again, somehow more ravenous and hungry than before.

His paws on her waist raise up and down, silently appreciating her physique. His nails absentmindedly trailing behind. She shivers in a good way.

“Feels so good,” she helplessly whispers.

Nick nearly whimpered. “Fuck Judy, you don’t know what you do to me.”

He keeps her close, his paw caressing up and finding her chest. He palmed her breasts gently through her baggy shirt, getting excited from the feeling of them budding against his fingers.

Their tongues swirl and she gasps into his maw as he thrusts up into her, following her lead of her paced heat dragging along his erection. His hips mirroring hers in a suave and dexterous manner, moving in tandem with her own. Judy could weep at how pleasurable its friction was rubbing perfectly against her sweet spot, her hands squeezing his shoulders like he owed her money.

“Hold onto me.” He guided them around his neck while his head dipped, nuzzling her chest before kissing them again. He breathed her in, audibly moaning at her peaked nipples over her shirt. “Mmm, missed them.” He kissed them through the fabric like the night before.

She allowed his paws under her shirt, his claws lightly indenting lines down her fur. She whined in approval as he cupped her breasts bare. He jiggled them, squeezed them, caressed them with care.

He thumbed her nipples delicately before he staring up at her for further permission.

Judy was winded. She wasn’t doing much but was fascinated by this shift of position. Of power. She nodded and their conversation were now only composed of sounds of delight as Nick’s groan of satisfaction warmed her completely. His head ducked down, shoving his head under her shirt.

She hadn’t time to be nervous, too captivated by desire. She moaned out, her head threw back as his tongue met her nipple bare and sloppily. He suckled needily. He too was unable to keep quiet, his hums of joy and pure carnality vibrating into her chest.

Judy was seeing stars at this point. His clothed yet bewitched thrusts, talented mouth, and—by god—his words were pushing her toward the edge. She was nearly there.

“I-I’m close.” Judy warned him.

But that did nothing to phase Nick. In fact, it gave him the boost he needed. He bucked his hips into hers over and over, moving in sync with her. “Come, Judy. I wanna feel it. Come right on me, babe.” He said before he had his tongue skidding across from one nipple to the other, not wanting to depart his mouth from her while he had the chance.

She didn’t think today that they would nearly get this far but—golly, did it feel right. So very right. Her pleasure within boiling way past her threshold. She cried out, reaching over and leaning forward into the couch headrests, her thighs pressing in him tightly.

“Cheese…and…crackers…” She heavily panted, going limp in his arms.

His laugh warmed her breasts, stilling himself. He pulled away and out of her baggy shirt.

“That was…” She couldn’t find the words.

“Amazing?…Fantastic?…Mind-blowing?”

She rolled her eyes with a sheepish smile. “Alright wise guy, you can relax.” Leaning back now to give him some space but not far enough to leave his embrace.

“I think it went great. You did great.” He smiled wide, basking in her afterglow, settling his paws on her hips.

“Nick…stop it.” She scoffed, the tips of her ears going red.

“I love the sounds you make too.” He teased further.

“Alright, that’s enough!” She raised a cautionary fist.

He raises his paws in surrender. “Okay okay,” He couldn’t stop grinning it seems. “But I mean it.”

Her tail succumbed and began to waggle to and fro. “Yeah well, I liked it too.”

“Yeah? Maybe we can”

A heavy buzz vibrated the coffee table and the two saw Judy’s phone rattle across the wooden surface. The bunny leaned over, catching it before it could fall off the edge. Her eyes widening from the contact. It was her parents.

“Great…” Perfect timing, like always.

Nick peeked over. “Might need to get that.”

“I’m sure it’s not that important.” Judy ponders clicking the deny button but couldn’t draw herself to it.

Nick regards her hesitation. “What if it is?”

“It’s usually not.” She tries to reason but continues to let it to ring.

“If you have to take it, you go ahead.” Nick shrugged nonchalantly. She was usually quick to respond to her family, especially her parents. He didn’t think this time would be any different. Maybe it was him? He lifted himself up. “I can go.”

Her paws weighed on his chest, stopping his departure. “I don’t want you to. Plus…what about you?”

“What about me?” His eyebrow arched yet he stayed put, holding onto one of her wrists.

She looked down. He was still very much stimulated. Both of their attentions met at the wet spot that stained Nick’s shorts.

“Oh gosh, I am so sorry—”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. If there’s no evidence, that means I didn’t do a good job.” Her fist beat on his shoulder and he only chuckled from its sting. “What?!”

Judy’s ringtone stopped only to begin ringing again before she could answer him.

“Carrots, this whole thing is to help you. I can take care of myself.” He gently led her off of his lap. “Plus, it sounds like your folks want to talk to you.”

She hesitated. Her guilt growing with each ring. It was around the time that her parents usually called and gosh, now that she thought about it, it’s been a minute since she last spoke to them. She had been resorting to texting them mainly, not wanting to disturb Nick and also not having been in the greatest of moods as of recently.

She settled on answering it. “Can we at least hang out afterwards?”

“After the phone call or after I’m done?”

“…Both?”

“Of course,” Nick couldn’t stop his smile from showing even if you paid him. “Now if you excuse me, I got some clothes to wash.”

He jumped off the couch but stopped in his tracks from his shirt being tugged from the back. He looked over in confusion.

“Would it be weird of me, as a friend but with benefits, to ask for a kiss before you go?” Judy asked curiously.

Nick’s expression had flickered with softness but it was quickly overcome with his signature asymmetrical grin. “Not at all.”

It took everything in him to not audibly snicker when her eyes instantly shut close. His hand cradled her chin gently, admiring her for a moment before leaning in and kissing her.

He loved her. Nick really loved Judy. This was going to be hard, just remaining ‘friends’ like this. When she’d sigh in his mouth, kissing him deeper. With her paws reaching up to pull him closer by the neck and clinging onto him like that. Like she might actually feel the same way he does, somewhere…somehow…

A familiar chime went off and a voice called out, “Judy! Wha—Where are you, dear? What am I looking at right now?”

The fox and bunny repelled faster than a blink of an eye. With Nick throwing himself back and off of her and Judy into cushions of the couch. “MOM! Hi!!!” She beamed too brightly, bringing the phone too close to her face to make sure nothing else was accidentally shown on camera.

“Oh! There you are, I was unsure of what I was looking at. Thought it was red fur or something.” Bonnie reasoned.

“Red fur? Sure it wasn’t that fox fella?” Her father, Stu, popped into view.

“Um well, probably. But he’s not here now. He’s…” Currently crawling on the floor out of sight. “Cleaning up. We just finished watching a movie.”

Bonnie’s eyes lit up. “Really? What was the movie, Bun-Bun? Your dad and I were just thinking of watching something with the kids tonight.”

She looked up and could only see the never-ending roll of credits skim down the screen. Her free paw hurriedly tried to find the remote. “Oh um…”

“Did you forget what you just watched, Jude?” Her father asked, his tone playful yet also skeptical. Always the vigilant one. Curse her nosy parents.

“It was newest reboot of 007, sir.” Nick sprung up from beside her.

Judy tried to refrain her eye from twitching.

“Wow! I thought it was still in theaters.”

Nick genially nodded, easing back onto the couch. “Yes, but it also began streaming recently. Got it on sale. Big fan of the franchise.”

“Ah, then maybe we’ll give that one a look then.” Bonnie pressed a hand to her hip. “Also, is everything alright, hon? Took you a good second to pick up the phone. We were beginning to get worried.”

“I...Well, I—”

“She forgot her phone was on silent. Don’t hate her, I made her do it! I like to make sure movie nights are a phone-free zone.” Nick sincerely apologized and Judy was almost impressed. He really is a slick trick.

“I am the same way! We get it, we get it.” Stu chuckled with a similarly easygoing tone.

“We hope everything has been okay over there though. How has the move-in been? We know it’s just temporary but…still.” Bonnie inquired.

“Hope Jude the Dude hasn’t been giving you a hard time!” He playfully joked and Judy’s ears flopped down in embarrassment.

“Dad!” She snapped.

“Not at all. It's my pleasure. That’s what friends are for, after all.” Nick smiled, ignoring Judy's subtle pointed glare.

“Yes, and it’s so nice Judy has found a friend like you, Nick.” Bonnie sweetly grinned.

“Yeah, friends are important to have for moments like that. Isn’t that right, sweetie?”

“Oh yes, absolutely.” Bonnie agreed.

Judy couldn’t help but feel her own parents forget she was a part of the conversation too. “Yes, Nick has been great. He’s been helping me out so much.”

“More than you know.” He joked, which made the bunnies over the phone laugh but his ribcage was nearly crushed from the bunny beside him.

“That’s wonderful sweetie. But now that you’re here Judy, lil Margie has been wanting to talk to you since you last called.”

“THAT IS NOT MY NAME!” An offscreen voice shouted from faraway but close enough to hear her sibling’s anger.

“Oh boy,” Stu sighed in exasperation.

Bonnie gave a restrained smile, bringing the phone closer, lowering her volume. “She’s been a bit…cranky. We really think you talking to her would help. Do you have a moment?”

Judy watched as Nick silently encouraged her to take her time by turning off the television and leave the living room to head to the bathroom. Her heart raced and a familiar warmth spread throughout her. At least she knew that her heat wasn’t going to bother her. It had been taken care of already.

She just smiled to herself before nodding to her parents. “Yeah, of course.”
