Chapter Text
He first woke up because he got hungry. He woke up more when he heard quiet little muffled cries coming down the hall.
Moon looked down to where his brother's room was and back to the kids’ room. He peaked his head in and saw Jack and Dazzle sleeping calmly. He walked down the hall to Sun and slowly opened the door. The room was dark with a small moon-shaped nightlight on the desk near the far wall. It was quiet, save for the music playing and the quiet sniffles coming from his brother.
Moon walked in slowly, keeping his distance in case Sun needed it. When the other took notice of his brother he stiffened, immediately stopped crying, and stared at Moon.
Moon opened his arms slightly, walking towards the celestial slowly. When he got close enough to the bed that his knees touched, Sun fell onto him and started to sob again. Moon sat on the bed and pulled Sun into his lap, rubbing his back and rocking him back and forth.
“What’s wrong?” Moon asked with a soft, quiet voice he only ever used on crying kids.
“I don’t want to live.”
